I haven’t been paying much attention to the Seattle mayor’s race since I already know who I’m voting for. But my goodness, Bruce Harrell is so bad on homelessness. Come on.
That said, I do think that as COVID-19 decreases in the region (touch wood) the capacity of some groups dealing with homelessness will increase. So the visible to non homeless people parts of homelessness may decrease regardless.
Anyway, please wash your hands right now and for goodness sake get vaccinated if you haven’t yet.
Until yesterday when Governor Newsom signed the new law, California was shitty cop paradise. Sport-murdering cops faced little accountability because, unless they were convicted of a felony, they kept their state issued certification. From yesterday forward when California cops receive a sustained finding of serious misconduct they will automatically lose their certification. And they can no longer simply quit and move next door.
Former Democrat who says “I certainly would never support any kind of coup d’état,” teams up to file SLAPP suit with attorney who plotted a coup d’état.

Bernie
• forgets there are 100 senators, not 50
• forgets that there are 435 representatives, not 210
Jayapal says her crew is prepared to walk away if they don’t get what they want.
Why not Sinema, too?
Pelosi might not hold a vote today. If not, there’s nothing for YLB to cheer for.
Not to be disappointed, YLB has an alternative cheer tucked away in her cleavage:
That’s 400,000 illegal aliens just in October.
Appeals court keeps Title 42 in place as DHS preps for up to 400,000 migrant surge
How will Deathfrogg ever get a job with that much competition by similarly poorly educated new residents of the US?
OTOH, the polling of illegal aliens is the only way Biden can ever see his poll numbers improve.
On Manchinema’s “bipartisan” bill that no Republicans will vote for.
That’s why Sinema can’t “walk away”. Because she can’t deliver votes. And she only has the one to withhold. It might make her your Queen-for-a-Day. But neither you nor McConnell will back her down the line. And she’s there for at least four more years.
Remarks by a weak, weak president.
It doesn’t matter.
Barack Obama became leader of the free world only four years into his first Senate term.
Kyrsten Sinema managed it after only two and a half years into hers.
Looks like Harrell’s response to the homelessness issue is to change the subject.
For all the shedding of tears, I have no problem with keeping this spreader out of the classroom and encouraging her to pursue her secret passion of tending bar in a MAGA dive. Who knows, the tips might be more than her teacher’s salary.

Watching videos like this, you almost never hear a good reason for not getting vaccinated. Just a lot of generalities and platitudes. And “freedom.” It’s always about their “freedom” (and fuck you).
Wherein, through creative legal argument, Officer Fanone’s badge and equipment just happened to fall off into the helpful rioter’s outstretched hands; tt wasn’t robbery or assault at all.

The trouble for him is, the judge isn’t buying it.
@2 The shitty Trump lawyer is easy to understand. Why a lawyer of Dershowitz’s reputation would resort to this
“The suit also draws on a legal theory—that Dominion is a government actor by virtue of its role in providing technology for elections—first put forward by Dershowitz for Lindell’s February lawsuit against Dominion.”
is harder to understand. (Because, of course, the First Amendment only applies to government actors.) In first-year law school, an argument like this is referred to as “breaking new legal ground.” In second and third year study groups, it’s called a shitty argument.
@3 He didn’t forget the others, he wrote them off as worthless.
@6 Speaking of aliens, there are those who suspect you’re from another planet.
“Jeremy Brown, a former U.S. Army Special Forces soldier who ran for Congress as a Republican in Florida in 2020, was arrested and charged for his role in the violent riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6. … Brown was wearing ‘full military gear,’ according to the complaint, including a helmet, radio and tactical vest, and he had visible ‘large surgical trauma shears’ tucked into his vest. … Brown also coordinated travel to the Capitol in December and January, according to the FBI documents, which included messages he sent to others online saying he had an RV with ‘plenty of gun ports left to fill’ and instructing people to follow his ‘Ground Force One departure plan’ to come to his house to ‘route plan and conduct PCIs (Pre Combat Inspections).'”

I predict a jail sentence will advance, not harm, his political career. Given Republican voters.
YLB has an alternative
Alternative 1: laugh at a silly misogynist troll that daily gets off to its sins.
Alternative 2: laugh at a chronically frightened kreepah from widbee. ANTIFA! BOO!
Alternative 3: laugh at the hateful fantasies of a failed freek troll from widbee.
No end of laughs to be had here at HA at the expense of trolls. Since 2004.
So, good week, yes?
Democrats are cowards.
The money they save by not patronizing restaurants instead can be confiscated from them by a cigarette tax.
NPR today began softening the beach for the reality assault liberals will have to accept. Some dude claimed – correctly, actually – that $1.5 trillion is actually an astronomical amount of money.
So the spin is that Democrats won $1.5 trillion in new spending for people who suck the government tit for free dough. Not that it’s only a quarter of what Biden asked them to provide him.
Manchinema 1
Biden 0
Biden was shut out. In baseball you pay for the ticket even if your team embarrasses you.
Cowards live in fear. It’s what brands them as cowards.
Those who claim that a meeting in the middle is standard are those who don’t have a better argument.
A stronger president would have given Bernie a stiff cuffing.
Women’s sports suck.
Professionalism means business as usual. Not sitting out the championship match because your boyfriend broke up with you.
Yet another reason, YLB, that nobody takes you seriously.
@23
Former players have accused North Carolina Courage head coach Paul Riley of sexual coercion spanning multiple teams and leagues since 2010…
Sinead Farrelly, who played for Riley at the Philadelphia Independence, New York Fury and Portland Thorns, said “I felt under his control.” Farrelly detailed multiple incidents where she felt coerced into having sex with her coach.
Shivering in self-hate in its widbee safespace, teh kreepah whines that it couldn’t get in on the action.
Another reason we laugh at you kreepah. You’re a 24 hr/day, 7 days/week self parody.
Pour yourself another bourbon before you kreep to the horse shed.
Go Mariners!
25)Go Mariners.
@20 “53 percent of black residents aren’t vaccinated, compared to only 44 percent of white residents who have declined the shots…”
Roughly similar to the percentages of Americans who didn’t vote for Trump and those who did, but with lesser moral implications.
@21 “people who suck the government tit for free dough”
You mean somebody besides Exxon, Jeff Bezos, and the Waltons?
Such as waitresses, child care workers, caretakers, single mothers, delivery drivers, and the people who somebody will wipe your ass in a nursing home?
Republicans don’t spend less taxpayer money, or borrow less. They just give it to different people. Mostly themselves.
