I am looking at 9 GOP gains in the Senate. Sullivan is ahead of Begich in the exit polling, and also 6% ahead in actual votes, with 56% counted in Alaska. Louisiana will have a runoff on December 6, but Landrieu looks like toast sitting at 42% in symbolic 1st place, with the top two Republicans being at 55% — and 3rd place GOP Maness being to the right of 2nd place GOP Cassidy. So that makes 54 in the GOP caucus, and Angus King (I-ME) might switch to the GOP to organize since they will be the majority, possibly making 55 in total.
I am seeing maybe even 250 in the House for the GOP, looking at declared races and the ones with the Republican in the lead that haven’t been called. This number includes Louisiana 5 and Louisiana 6, which are headed into runoff on December 6. The sole serious Democrats are in the lead in both districts — 28% for Mayo in Louisiana 5 and 30% for Edwards (the ex-guv and ex-federal inmate) in Louisiana 6. Look at 2-1 GOP margins in both runoffs.
Probably a high water mark for the Republicans for at least a generation in the Congress.

Looks like it did not, and Metro could possibly have to exercise options, depending on which routes are brought back, or saved.
