Please join us tonight for another evening of politics under the influence at the Seattle chapter of Drinking Liberally. We meet at the Montlake Ale House, 2307 24th Avenue E. beginning at 8:00 pm. Or join some of us for dinner around 7:00 pm.
Not in Seattle? There is a good chance you live near one of the 235 other chapters of Drinking Liberally.
I would totally bone Sarah Palin. Other than that – I wouldn’t give the right-wing twat the time of day.
@ 1
You kidddin man, she’s a total hag.
If it wasn’t for politics, she’d be cruisin every tavern in Alaska.
No. Not kidding. Despite her polics, she’s unquestionably bone-able.

Heh. It’s been fun to look at the last couple of threads and see people ignore the swill of tehchickeshit troll.
May it long continue!
I’m not into Palin, but Christine O’Donnell’s kinda cute.
@4
go eat a dick, tenderhands ylb….and stay in that basement like a good little wimp.
James Howard Kunstler, FTW.
An interesting essay here. (Got the tip from a diary at DK).
Some excerpts:
A disturbing but insightful essay.
@7 Michael
I’m just reading the linked essay, and came across this gem about pre-Revolution France:
How true for our times too…
Onion News Network coming to TV!!

And those “pampered imbeciles” are worshipped and deified by everyone I know that calls themselves a christian conservative. The book burners. The stockpilers of weapons and highly preserved food. Those slobbering idolaters of ignorance who actively reject the source of their civilization.
They don’t even really know what they hate. Hate has its own purpose, its own emotional feedstock. It needs no specific object to exist. It is the closing of the intellect and reverting to the animal.
The French and the Germans have both proven that. Thats what the Taliban is.
@7: From the aptly titled: Clusterfuck Nation blog
Every Monday — always a sobering read.
Gotta love cop’s kids.
Backstory.
Kunster sometimes uses his blog to just go off and have a little fun, nothing wrong with that, but you have to take that into consideration when you’re reading it. This weeks entry seemed more sober and completely spot on.
He also has a podcast.

Nikki Haley is kind of cute too. I’d do either her or O’Donnell before Palin.
Nah. You guys wouldn’t know a good lay if you saw one.

I’ll Bet This Guy Is A Republican
A 23-year-old South Carolina man is hospitalized after playing “Frogger” on a 4-lane highway, news sources report.

Speaking of Ms. O’Donnell:
Funny how they need an investigation after she has already admitted to doing this several times.
Although there’s still a couple of trading days left, it looks like my stock market results for this year are going to be in the +20% range. Sure beats the 1/10 of 1% that banks pay on passbook savings, and beats hell out of working for Republicans for minimum wage! I don’t work, and don’t see why anyone else should work. Getting free money by owning Capital is the only way to go.
Whoops, link didn’t take: Stupid twit.
@7 James Howard Kunstler is a guy that I’m a bit ambivalent about. His prediction for the Dow fell flat, obviously he couldn’t see QE2 coming, but then not many could. You can look in his past and see him get way overwrought about Y2K.
But there’s no doubt he’s an enormously entertaining writer – at times. That particular CFN was him at his entertaining best. I couldn’t get through The Long Emergency and by the time I put the book down, rejected his thesis. Not that I disagreed with it all that much – it’s just that I thought the book itself defeated almost everything he was trying to say. Bruce Sterling should have written that book.
But still I like JHK. I accept his writings on suburbia and for good yucks I highly recommend the movie reviews and his memoirs about his hip replacement on his website – they’re hilarious.
His TED talk is a classic – not to be missed.
@21
Kunstler’s prognostications are done for fun, not profit. And when you’re doing something for fun, why not have a little fun with it.
Tucker Carlson jumps the shark.
@23
Tucker doesn’t go far enough, ALL crimes should carry the death penalty. Jaywalking, littering, speeding, tearing that little tag off your mattress …
