We meet tonight and every Tuesday at the Roanoke Park Place Tavern, 2409 10th Ave E, Seattle. You’ll find us in the back room of the pub or, maybe, out on the back patio. We start at 8:00pm.

    Remember when in 2023 the Democrats allocated $80 billion to the IRS, in part so that the IRS could do a better job capturing income taxes on tip income?

    Democrats decided to use technology to spy on the employers, allowing them to see what the employees were making and then compare it to what they were reporting to the IRS:

    • The monitoring of employer compliance based on actual annual tip revenue and charge tip data from an employer’s point-of-sale system, and allowance for adjustments in tipping practices from year to year.
    • Participating employers demonstrate compliance with the program requirements by submitting an annual report after the close of the calendar year, which reduces the need for compliance reviews by the IRS.
    • Participating employers receive protection from liability under the rules that define tips as part of an employee’s pay for calendar years in which they remain compliant with program requirements.
    • Participating employers have flexibility to implement employee tip reporting policies that are best suited for their employees and their business model in accordance with the section of the tax law that requires employees to report tips to their employers.

    Shaun King, a Black Lives Matter activist and former Bernie Sanders campaign surrogate, wrote that he wanted Biden to be in pain.

    “Never in my life have I cared less about someone having an ‘aggressive form of cancer’ than I do about Joe Biden,” King wrote Sunday evening.

    “I hate him. He’s a genocidal monster and I hope his final days are painful,” King concluded.

    I don’t know about genocide, although Biden killed far more Americans in Kabul in one day in 2021 than DJT45 did in an entire term.

    Tell Welfare Queen YLB’s two fucked kids that falling home prices are going to be harmful to them. Go ahead. See if they agree that a purchase point that will be easier for them to manage is a bad thing.

    Watching parts of the latest episode of The Handmaid’s Tale, good to see what’s left of the US supporting the resistance, and good thing it’s set in Boston. Gillead controls DC plus all states except Hawaii and Alaska with the US Capitol in Anchorage. I’ve read the sequel, no way the regime falls in next week’s finale.Although it can be weakened. Early in the series, after the religious fanatics coup d’ tat, it was implied most of the military had accepted becoming part of the new regime. After a fiasco in Season 5, doubt Canada would let the rump US Military move through their airspace again.

    One aspect of the last two seasons was Commander Lawrence’s New Bethlehem, a project where refugees would be invited back, and it would be a nicer form of Gillead. After this episode, doubt it survives. The episode ended with several Commanders on a plane headed for DC for a meeting with the Gillead High Command, and a Mayday Bomb goes off shortly after takeoff.

    The Justice Department is conducting a criminal investigation into former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a leading contender in the New York City mayoral race, over his testimony to Congress last year, according to a person familiar with the matter.

    House Republicans had requested a federal investigation into Cuomo, a Democrat, arguing he lied to the House Oversight Committee last year when he said he hadn’t been involved in reviewing a report from the state Health Department about the state’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic when he was governor.

    Two days after Benjamin Netanyahu announced he was lifting the siege of Gaza, Israel is still blocking food from reaching starving Palestinians, the UN has said, as the leader of the country’s centre-left Democrats party said his country was becoming a pariah nation that “kills babies as a hobby”.
