    Muted mikes made for a better second debate in 2020 and made for a clean debate in 2024.

    Trump agreed to Biden’s terms, agreed to two debates with Boxcheck Momala, and was open to a third but she wasn’t, because it would have been moderated by Fox News. Trump is willing to debate with moderators he does not like, Boxcheck Momala is not.

    What leverage did she have to compel Trump to accept open mikes? None, really. He agreed to everyone else’s terms, her team made a big deal out of “The debate over the debates is over.”, and then Boxcheck Momala wanted to revisit what had already been agreed to by both parties.

    The last 24 hours were silly, because Boxcheck Momala and her campaign are silly. She gained nothing.

    Although she can still gain a third debate. Any time she’s willing.

    Boxcheck Momala finally agreed to an interview, with the caveat that any time she gets into trouble, Cut and Run Walz can step in and finish her sentences for her.
