Four people were charged with the murder and kidnapping of Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelley, one of them being the paternal grandmother of Butler’s kids. Tifany Adams, who was arrested this weekend, was in a custody battle with Butler for those children, according to court documents.

KOCO 5 has confirmed Adams has ties to the Oklahoma Republican Party and was elected last year as the chair for the Cimarron County GOP. She was chosen by a handful of people to lead the group.

An interesting poll in Texas as long as Dumbfuck is trying to glean a definitive argument from the crosstabs…

Texas Hispanic Policy Foundation is a Republican run policy group. Their board of directors include several elected Republicans and their operating officers are a Republican who lost running for Mayor of Dallas, A former GOP State legislator, A current GOP State Rep and A Rice University Department Chair who you’d have to dig a bit to find out he worked on one of Ted Cruz’s campaigns and has a list of donations, all to Republicans.

So this is an internal GOP poll.

The topline, in a five candidate scenario, Donald Trump is under 50% at 46%. That’s not where you expect a GOP Presidential candidate to be in Texas. But here’s the interesting nugget, of the people stating they will vote for Kennedy, Stein, Oliver close to 60% for each say they may change their mind. 70% in the case of Stein.

Among Women, only 44% say they will vote Trump. Donald got 48% of women in 2020 in Texas.

You know how Dumbfuck is counting on the polls that show cratering support for Joe among Blacks. 11% of black Texans in the poll are picking Trump.

Apparently there are no Asians in Texas according to this poll.

“As Trump’s hush money business records trial quickened on its second, compelling day — with seven jurors seated — Trump stepped up efforts to discredit the proceedings and the legal system itself. …

“The former president’s strategy encapsulates one of the most consequential challenges to the American courts system in modern memory — one that is likely to leave it tarnished in the eyes of tens of millions of his supporters whatever the jury decides.”

    https://www.cnn.com/2024/04/16/politics/donald-trump-trial-narrative-analysis/index.html

First, America’s legal system isn’t being challenged in the courtroom; it will prevail on its own turf. The challenge is at the ballot box; a vote for Trump is voting to end the rule of law and replacing it with God only knows what.

Second, I don’t care what Trump’s supporters think of the legal system, any more than I care what a drunk driver thinks of the cops who arrest him or the judge who sentences him. I care about having a functioning legal system and laws to protect the rest of us from people who are a danger to society.

It’s very, very hard to frame an innocent politician to keep him out of office, as Trump contends is happening to him (and his credulous supporters believe). To accomplish that, you have to persuade a grand jury of ordinary citizens to indict him, and a trial jury of ordinary citizens to convict him. The trial isn’t, as he contends, being held in New York because people there don’t like him; it’s being held in New York because that’s where the alleged crime was committed. Duh.

It’s hard to comprehend why anyone believes the nonsense that spews from Trump’s mouth. The best explanation I can think of is that Trumpism is a drug and millions of Americans are high on it.

@6. They don’t care. Millions of Americans do not have the skills to cope with change. They can’t handle climate change, economic change, and especially social change. They cannot handle their lost of position above the people they hate. They are terrified of demographic change and they will be treated as they treated the Other. They will not accept that the minorities, the LGBTQ, the women, the immigrants, the Native Americans they hate, are as good or better than as them.

Trump and the republicans tell them pretty lies, stoke their anger and fears and let them pretend that they can force the world back to a place where they are on top. If it takes a fascist dictatorship to do it, so be it.

Apparently there are no Asians in Texas according to this poll.

Unless you look in, you, know, the demographics section.

    1. SURVEY POPULATION DEMOGRAPHICS
White likely voters account for 58% of this survey population of likely Texas voters, Hispanic likely
voters for 25%, Black likely voters for 12%, and others for 5% (2% Asian American, 3% something
else). Women represent 53% of this population, men 45% and others 2%.

If they’re “Asian” they’re not voting. Your search may have had more success if you considered them Asian-American instead.

I see that you left off the 12 point lead over Biden that Trump has in this poll. In 2020 the final polling aggregates had Trump over Biden by barely more than one point, so a 12 point spread is rather substantial.

In 2020 Trump won 52% of the Texas vote to Biden’s 46.5%, so if the GOP poll is accurate Trump has more than doubled his lead over Biden compared with 2020.

Strong, strong post. You must have spent hours writing it.

    Speaking of Texas voters:

A New York Times/Siena College survey out this week showed Biden with 50 percent support among Hispanics — which is historically low for a Democrat. Meanwhile, Trump’s support among Hispanics has grown to 41 percent, which is on the higher end for a Republican.

Last week, an Axios/Ipsos survey showed Biden’s support among Hispanics dropping by 12 points from 53 percent to 41 percent over the last three years. And while support for Trump is still low at 32 percent, the former president has gained about 8 points with Hispanic voters since the 2021 poll.

“Most noteworthy is that Biden has fallen,” said Chris Jackson, a senior vice president of public affairs at Ipsos. “And that’s the real story.”

OK, OK. I didn’t mean Texas. I meant Arizona. And Nevada.

Bidenflation touches all. Bidenflation will even inaugurate a new president in January.

Younger Latinos, he added, “are open to other options” because of increases in cost of living.

    Not just Charlamagne tha God.

Stephen A. Smith calls liberals cowards for lawfare against Trump: ‘Scared you can’t beat him’

Smith made the comments during the Tuesday episode of “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” which was also day two of Trump’s trial over his hush money case with porn star Stormy Daniels.

As the trial continued with the swearing in of the first six jurors, Smith argued that the case amounts to an admission on the part of Trump’s political opponents that they can’t beat him in an election and have to resort to lawfare tactics.

“It’s much ado about nothing,” Smith said on the podcast. “To my liberal friends out there, all you’re doing is showing that you’re scared you can’t beat him on the issues and the merits.”

The host continued, noting this is why Trump “keeps saying it’s a political campaign against me.”

“That’s why he keeps saying they can’t beat me at the election, at the polls. This is the only way they can do it,” he said.

    Smith’s not wrong.

In a few weeks the Republican nominee, Trump The Rapist, will stand convicted by an impartial jury of about thirty felonies.

And at that same moment Alejandro Mayorkas will still be the bipartisan Senate confirmed Secretary of Homeland Security still actively lobbying Congress to approve border security funding being blocked by House Republicans on behalf of the convicted felon.

One of these two things represents “lawfare”.
    Can you identify which one?
Cuz swing voters can, even when they’ve never even heard an inside baseball term like “lawfare” before.
