Today we get CNN reporting on ‘Latinos who might vote republican this time.
First up, small business owner Antonio Munoz. The piece opens with how Munoz admired Reagan as a boy. The piece fails to mention that Munoz is an ex-officer with the Las Vegas Police Department, police departments being a hotbed of Democratic leaning employees who was fired after blowing a .12%BAC and charged with three felony hit and runs. In the piece he sheepishly refused to say who he voted for in 2020 because of the potential for backlash among his customers. (Hint, he’s a lifelong republican who voted for Trump twice. Just speculating.
Next we meet Valeria Gurr, founder of Nevada for school choice who tells CNN she was once a registered Democrat. Her social media includes posts about her work with OANN, anti Cortez-Mastro posts, and claims to have pulled her child out of Nevada Public schools because, you know but there are first day of school photos of said child from preschool on….at a private school. Trying to grift some taxpayer dollars to pay for the choice you made to send your kid private from day one is the Republican way. She says voted Trump and she will definitely vote for Nikki Haley.
Finally we get Zoila Sanchez, a real estate agent selling homes in the Vegas area. A registered Republican who claims to have voted Democrat the last four cycles but would be open to voting for Nikki “Not gonna be the nominee” Haley. Says Trump ‘repulses’ her and if Trump is the nominee she will vote Biden.
So good piece. Three Republicans. These are the “Democrat” Latinos CNN could find to run a piece on the peril the Democrats face in Nevada in 2024.
