DLBottle DLBottle Tuesday is Drinking Liberally day in Seattle. Stop by the Seattle Chapter of Drinking Liberally for political discussion, a drink and good cheer.

The Seattle Chapter of Drinking Liberally meets every Tuesday at the Roanoke Park Place Tavern (2409 10th Ave E, Seattle) starting at 8pm either in the back room of the pub or on the back patio.

Chapters of Living Liberally are all over the place…if you can’t make it to the Seattle chapter, there is probably another nearby chapter you can hit.

    John Fetterman is making progress in his recovery from clinical depression and could leave Walter Reed within next two weeks, a person close to the senator told me. The senator’s physician recently informed him that he will be “as good or better than his best days post-stroke.”

    He’s progressed to attempting to utter a second sentence.

    The Surface Transportation Board has called a press conference for Tomorrow morning, about the Canadian Pacific/Kansas City Southern merger. Could go either way, but when it was first announced, it looked like it had a better chance of going through than Canadian National’s proposal. Counties around Chicago are against it, because of impacts on METRA commuter trains.

    If approved, it will be a real transcontinental railroad, from ports in Atlantic Canada all the way to Mexico’s Pacific Coast.
