It’s election day…in Georgia. The Seattle Chapter of Drinking Liberally will be getting together to discuss the Georgia election results and other things political and liberal. Please join us if you will.
The Seattle Chapter of Drinking Liberally meets every Tuesday at the Roanoke Park Place Tavern (2409 10th Ave E, Seattle) starting at 8pm out on the back patio. Some folks may meet in the back room of the pub.
Chapters of Living Liberally are all over the place…if you can’t make it to the Seattle chapter, there is probably another nearby chapter for you.
Roger Rabbit spews:
However the Georgia election turns out, it again demonstrates the willingness of Republican voters to elect a garbage human being to public office.
Elijah Dominic McDotcom spews:
I’m expecting run silent, run deep for the trolls tonight, at least until some more GA results are reported.
But the very early reports show the tiny, deep red, rural counties reporting a turnout on par with November, while the big, urban and suburban Democrat counties are surging past November turnout.
That’s not good for Mitch/Trump/GOP.

2)Thought they would be encouraged when Walker took the Lead.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@4 Most of the red counties are in. There’s a lot of uncounted votes in the Atlanta area. That isn’t good for Walker.
Why are you here, lord kreepshit? spews:
All the red counties in GA turning out for Walker reminds me of the 840 thousand plus dumbasses who voted for Will Baker for State Auditor here in 2004.
A former exotic dancer – the dumbasses voted for Baker because it had an R next to its name.
Walker has a little more on the ball than Baker (to be kind) but totally unqualified like Baker was and every bit the klown like Baker.
zombies? werewolves? the way it rambles like an idiot? wtf?
Roger Rabbit spews:
@2 Most of the red counties have reported, but Atlanta-area votes are still coming in. Warnock has a lot of urban votes yet to be reported, and there are few red pockets left. I certainly wouldn’t call it yet, but NBC’s interactive map isn’t encouraging for Walker. Fulton and DeKalb counties still have a third of their votes to report, and Warnock is getting 80% and 90% in those large counties. Right now I don’t see how Walker will overcome that.
Why are you here, lord kreepshit? spews:
Congratulations, Senator Raphael Warnock.
Roger Rabbit spews:
Fox, NBC, ABC, and CNN have all called it for Warnock.
EvergreenRailfan spews:
8)Fox will be getting a new crew for the Decision Desk, again.
Kamala “That’s Vice President Tie Breaker, Bitch. Get over it” Harris spews:
So I can leave DC and bolster my profile for an eventual ASS kicking of whatever fascist freak the GOP nominates in 24 & 28?
I hear Georgia is lovely in the Winter and the lakes in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan are great in the summer. Springtime in Arizona and New Mexico maybe.
Go cut some ribbons on newly funded roads and bridges and hospitals in Florida and make that fucker squirm to admit FEDERAL money made it happen. Hey Ron, where do you get a Cuban Sandwich in Miami. I know I know. You have no idea. Waffle House…heard of it or is that too ‘spicy’ for you.”

I come not to praise Kirsty.
A woman who denied the missing wife
Of cult from public view for more’n decade
A female who would have thou know med’cine
Is false and not for cures nor life of babes
Who said the Spaceman came to aid us all
And spend the most on Programs to the Church
The cult that spread the word of Xenu’s Truth.
I come to bury Kirsty, not to praise her
The evil that men do lives after them;
Elijah Dominic McDotcom spews:
Watching the victory speech live right now.
Looking forward to a little peace with the troll absence. But also rubbing their stupid faces in another humiliating defeat.
Elijah Dominic McDotcom spews:
Thank you GEORGIA!
One Alfa for me! spews:
Well waddya know? Big money won again.
Elijah Dominic McDotcom spews:
14,
You know yer kinda pretty when you cry like that, bitch.
Elijah Dominic McDotcom spews:
Senate ass kicking and Trump guilty verdict all in the same day?
FUCK YEAH!!
Elijah Dominic McDotcom spews:
AAAND Eyman lost his appeal?
I guess I gotta go get a Powerball ticket.
Roger Rabbit spews:
Elijah, you haven’t been chugging champagne tonight, have you?
Elijah Dominic McDotcom spews:
18,
Why not?
Wherever fascists are losing I’ll be there celebrating!
RedReformed spews:
@14. Sockpuppet Alfalfa. It has to be money, it cannot be that cruel conservative ideology coupled with the worst candidate didn’t get 50% of the vote. If that helps you soothe yourself to sleep, you be you.
Elijah Dominic McDotcom spews:
20,
Even simpler explanation:
The good Americans outnumber the bad ones.
Elijah Dominic McDotcom spews:
20,
Noteworthy is that all the PAC spending on ads attacking Walker for being a dangerously deranged, pathological liar who hurts women and children did not have any measurable effect.
Perhaps no worse candidate has been fielded in modern times. Yet every single available Republican voter got out and voted for him. Democrats owe Georgia and they owe Abrams for this victory.
And they need to duplicate her county based turnout machine in all 50 states.
Elijah Dominic McDotcom spews:
Of all the campaign issues that helped Georgia Democrats increase turnout, the one that tops the list and leads all others by miles is abortion. No other issue even came close.
This is important because it shows us that most Republican candidates, not just the ones with traumatic brain injuries, are incredibly vulnerable on an issue that is the most important issue to voters in a ton of swing states and districts.
Why are you here, lord kreepshit? spews:
@22 Actually as Kornacki was going county by county last night, it seemed that the repukes weren’t coming out for Walker like they did for Kemp last November.
Why are you here, lord kreepshit? spews:

kreepshit will deny this to “that certain day”… fill the tank, make the rent.. misogynist asswipe..
Why are you here, lord kreepshit? spews:
Two mentions here at HA of Kirsty Alley, one from kreepshit and something @11..
Why give a second thought to a late actor who I can’t recall doing anything memorable of late? Ok, people still watch Cheers re-runs like they watch Friends and Seinfeld. Whatever..
Yeah she may have done stupid stuff in her lifetime.. kreepshit of course made fat slurs.. She subscribed to a ridiculous cult. Other actors do the same.. Are they going to get a mention here when they pass like Alley?
Just find it odd.. I watched Cheers a handful of times when it was current and haven’t since.
Why are you here, lord kreepshit? spews:
Walker seemed relieved he lost last night.
Elijah Dominic McDotcom spews:
26,
I too find it odd when people form what seems like a personal connection with a fictional character or persona from any kind of literature, not just television. It can be funny, and mostly harmless to see completely full grown adults submerge themselves in fantasy, dressing up like Gandalf, decorating their homes, going to conventions, etc. But we act as if that’s “exceptional”, when in reality the coworker in the next cubicle with a Seinfeld coffee mug is pretty much doing the same thing, just to a lesser degree.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@21 That’s why the bad ones are against direct election of anything. They want bad legislatures to choose presidents, senators, and representatives, so they won’t get stuck with good ones.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@28 I think it’s just better not to have coworkers or be in a cubicle, although having a coffee mug is okay. It’s not going to shoot you.
