@18 The article I linked @17 has some J. D. Vance quotes from a podcast. Vance seems to endorse some of Curtis Yarvin’s absolutist ideas. For example, he says if Trump wins another term, he should fire vast swaths of federal civil service employees and replace them with loyalists, and defy the courts if they try to stop him. Vance is getting backing from Peter Thiel, the far-right billionaire who is anti-democracy. Probably the most disturbing thing about Vance is his pliability; he’s power-hungry and will attach himself to anyone who can further his ambitions. He flopped from Democrat to Republican, anti-Trump to Trumper, and now he’s listening to fascists.
