This weekend I went to a coworker’s and freind’s house for a birthday celebrations for his two sons (I may have mentioned him here before). He grew up in Ohio, then moved to Connecticut, I think after the parents divorced; I think he went to live with his father. The father lives in CT and is remarried, and the mother lives in Ohio and remarried. This sister still lives in Ohio.
Anyways his mother, whom I’ve met before, was at the Party. She is a Repuke and Trump supporter. I don’t think he and his mother had a great relationship growing up, but she is the grandmoterh. I forget exactly what he said about his mother while he and I and two others (married couple and friends of his) were eating outside but it wasn’t too flattering. I even had to say to him that what he said wasn’t nice and that she is his mother. He looked at me like I had two heads.

Again, quite true. Their plans were only suitable for their own imaging equipment, but the military understood that they didn’t have use those layouts. There was no contractual obligation to do so. And they new that if they used a slightly different layout, it would accommodate all imaging equipment vendors.
GE Medical has no reason to ensure compatibility between its install and some decade-later change of horses to Philips, Siemens, Canon (formerly Toshiba), or the like.
Indeed, they don’t have any reason or obligation at all to do so. But the Navy (NAVFAC, which builds facilities) did have a reason for what they did. The Air Force doesn’t build stuff. They turn to the Navy for that. They know how to do it and they do it quite well. If they could help it, they didn’t want to come back to Travis for an imaging equipment swap that would require a design team, bidding, contracts, contractors, observation of the work for contract compliance, etc. Thus, their requirement for generic layouts.

My take on it is that you understand that the 49% of adults represents America’s adult women who don’t much appreciate your intent to turn them all into chattel. They’re going turn out and vote in very large numbers, and it will be to defeat the Republicans who are doing this to them.
