Please join us tonight as the Seattle Chapter of Drinking Liberally gets together to process and discuss the Super Tuesday returns. I’m sure there’ll be lots of other stuff to discuss as well.
We meet every Tuesday at the Roanoke Park Place Tavern, 2409 10th Ave E, Seattle. Look for us in the back room of the pub beginning about 8pm. Stop by even earlier to catch the East Coast returns as they happen.
Can’t make it to Seattle? There are hundreds of chapters of Living Liberally, including dozens in Washington state, a bunch in Oregon and even a few in Idaho. Find a chapter near you. Or start a new chapter for your community!
The take-home from this isn’t the quid pro quo comment. It’s the number of times Trump said it’s “rigged against Bernie”.
“There’s no question about it.”
I watched all 12 minutes of the Los Angeles County DA’s statement and the small number of press questions she took.
Watch What Happens When BLM Protesters Bang on L.A. DA’s Front Door at 5:30 a.m.—and a Gun Answers
I hope she is re-elected with 99% of the vote. She’s absolutely fucking right about the shit these protesters have been permitted to pull.
This year, again, they’re gonna help re-elect Trump.
Revisit Biden’s performance in the 2012 VP debate with Paul Ryan. Now add 8 years and a whole lotta senility to it.
Recall Trump’s refusal to participate in some of the 2016 primary debates, just because. Didn’t hurt him one bit.
Think about it. If this ends up being a Trump v. Biden matchup, it may be the first presidetial election season in which both sides agree that there will be no debates between them.
Meanwhile, in the other Super Tuesday balloting:
Under Bibi Israel has been a pretty safe place, all things being considered. Maybe effective border protection has something to do with it.
This is very nice.
The Sec. Def. just cautioned all senior DOD staff and officers not to do anything to protect the 2 million active and reserve service members from corona virus that might upset president BoneSpurs or make him look bad.
I was just on the FHLB Des Moines rate site. Today’s numbers, prior to the Fed cut (which probably won’t have an effect):
5 Years 1.34% 1.11% 1.39% 1.15%
6 Years 1.47% 1.24% 1.28%
7 Years 1.54% 1.31% 1.35%
Good-credit borrowers can get a margin of as little as 2.0% above the index. Commercial loan rates for 7 years, fixed, may now be as low as 3.54% (or 3.625%, rounded up to nearest 1/8).
Wow.
Another very old, lonely, conservative white guy on FOX News just used tech to humiliate himself in front of the entire planet.

@ 5
If you mean not telling the world you’re going to exit a country without running past superiors for approval, then, yeah.
6,
Brexit, Trump Trade Wars, rising ethno-nationalism, and other more generalized retreating from globalization, an over-leveraged China, accelerating global warming, Russian adventuring in the Balkans, and now a global pandemic that restricts movement of goods and services and shutters places of production.
And Teh Dumbfuck is assured that the demand side is well stimulated. Mmmkay
4 – Thanks for mentioning Israel. Israel is a separate country, and the management of Israel is none of our business. It’s time for the American Jewish community and the Evangelical Christian Right to stop thinking of Israel as part of the United States. We may, from time to time, have overlapping interests with Israel, but they are not us, and we are not them. It’s time for both nations to act accordingly.
And while we’re at it, let’s withdraw entirely from the Middle East.

1 & 3,
claims to be a “never Trump” so-called “principled conservative” with an ideology.
Could have spent the weekend interested in this:
https://thedispatch.com/p/anti-trump-conservatives-forgotten
…and then followed up with commentary about the “Principles First” summit, what those principles might be, the key speakers, their ideas, and how they might differ from or contrast with both Democrats, and Trump Republicans alike.
Instead it focuses all its energy on Buttigieg’s private sexual behavior, butt hurt feels about urinal cakes, native American slurs, anti-Semitic slurs, Qanon conspiracy voodoo, and Time Masheeen fantasies.
Yes. It is a troll. That’s quite obvious and not really the point.
The point is that this is a Trump Troll in the purest sense. Always has been. Always will be. And so will always be accompanied by the fetid orange stain and vile wretched smell of racism, misogyny, corruption, treason, and violent sexual assault.
Hey bot-farm pussy!
Here’s a really nice sample of ol’ “Creepy Joe” “rambling” and being “incoherent”.
https://twitter.com/CNNPolitics/status/1232841187343699968
Maybe you could riff on that with some of your “rapier-like” wit.
See if you can work in a mention of Alzheimer’s, aphasia or brain tumors. That joke always kills!
@ 15
Just yesterday y’all were saying I claimed to be an independent. Now y’all saying I claim to be a “principled conservative”?
Make up yer fuckin’ minds.
I won’t vote for Biden, Bernie, The Chardonnay Lady 3.0, OR Trump. Don’t have to. It’s Washington state, and the Democrat on the ballot is gonna get our EVs.
I will vote for Inslee, Larsen. Don’t have a credible reason not to. Maybe one will emerge in the next several months. Probably not.
How many principled conservatives ya know who are pro-choice?
@14
US deaths from coronavirus infection (so far): 9

Suddenly today, the bot-farm pussy finds himself more concerned than ever before with why Obama won’t say “radical Islamic terrorism.”
How many principled conservatives ya know who are pro-choice?
Nearly every one that has functioning ovaries.
I guess that leaves out Susan Collins.
On both counts.
@ 16
I’ll give him credit for not affecting a southern accent the way The Chardonnay Lady 2.0 tried to get away with.
She pulls this shit often enough for others to have noticed:
If no one is around to hear Hillary Clinton’s Southern accent, does it exist?
Well, I’m sold. Biden!!!!
@21. Hillary Clinton lives, rent free, in the racist incel’s head.
@1 No, it’s the “quid pro quo” comment. Being a dumbfuck, you don’t see that, but it positively leaps out to anyone else.
Science Is Bunk Dep’t
“The Trump administration last year moved to roll back regulations designed to prevent infections from spreading in nursing homes, a decision that is facing renewed criticism for endangering the elderly amid the coronavirus outbreak.”
https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/live-blog/coronavirus-updates-live-countries-prepare-outbreak-spreads-n1143556
And a doctor would vote for this guy? Or defend him? I guess doctors can be dumbfucks, too.
@2 My position on this is the same as my position on accosting public figures in restaurants and on airplanes: Express political opinions in political spaces, and leave public figures alone in their private spaces and personal lives. It’s inappropriate to publish home addresses, harass family members, make political remarks on airplanes, or protest outside politicians’ family residences.*
* For these purposes, the White House is a public building, not a personal residence. So is Mar-O-Lago when it’s used as a presidential office or a place to hold political meetings or gatherings. In both locations, protesters are entitled to peacefully demonstrate on public property outside the secure perimeter, and I have no problem with that.
21,
Let’s see. She moved to Arkansas in 1974. Where she lived full time until her husband humiliated the Republican Party and George HW Bush by defeating them in the 1992 presidential election.
So just a bit longer than than the failson “W” lived in Texas before he ran for governor.

@3 “a whole lotta senility”
It doesn’t take a doctor to see your diagnostic skills suck.
@3 By the way, did you see Trump slurring his words in this video?
https://youtu.be/_lnsDmclw-E
What’s your take on this, doc? Just curious, because one of your fellow MDs thinks he needs an MRI.
@4 “Maybe effective border protection has something to do with it.”
And maybe they’d be even safer if they stayed inside their own borders instead of progressively grabbing more Palestinian land. Ya think?
I’m not siding with the Palestinians here. I’m absolutely opposed to their terrorism and attacks on Israelis. But that smacks of desperation, and you don’t get desperate people to stop doing things like that by ramping up aggression against them. Netanyahu’s policies will never bring peace to the region. If Israelis want lasting peace and security, they need smarter policies — and different leadership.
@6 Yes, subsidizing borrowers at the expense of savers. Obama did it in response to an economic emergency, but there’s no rationale for it now, and there hasn’t been for years.
One of the knock-on effects is that corporations are borrowing trillions to buy back stock (to goose EPS, to boost execs’ stock compensation, with only questionable benefits for shareholders) and inflate dividends (which benefits big shareholders far more than average investors); when rates rise and/or recession comes, there will be hell to pay for all that debt, and investors will pay the price.
Ask any economist about rate cuts, and they’ll tell you they’re a tool to use for liquidity crunches or weak demand; they can’t repair disrupted supply chains. Which makes their efficacy for the present situation highly doubtful. Powell is using them to assuage the financial markets, not do any real good.
Either you know that, or you’re a Kool-Aid drinker. But I can’t argue with your logic, such as it is, to exploit these policies for your own personal gain. After all, I do, too.
But on a policy-debate level, no honest Fed policymaker would sign on for Trump’s demands for more and more rate cuts. It’s like going bow-and-arrow hunting for deer and shooting at school kids in red jackets.
Oh here’s something for our Bowe Bergdahl loving trolls..
Obama, for example, was scorned and slammed for releasing five Taliban detainees in exchange for a captured U.S. soldier, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, in 2014; Trump, on the other hand, has agreed to the release of an astonishing 5,000 Taliban prisoners.
https://theintercept.com/2020/03/02/on-afghanistan-three-words-i-never-thought-id-write-bravo-donald-trump/
Apparently drumpf has made a “deal” with the Taliban.. Oooh now look at all the always wrong wing “war bloggers”, the keyboard commandos flip flop to laud drumpf for this. The Bush kult is now the drumpf kult..
And drumpf better act fast and pull out all the troops before that “army” kills some of them.
The Taliban will be just as bad as they were before 9/11 but Afghanistan is where empires go to die. India, the Pakistanis, Vlad and the rest can have it to themselves.
@5 @8 I crawled out of bed late today, noonish, and not up to speed on the day’s news. What are you guys talking about?
@9 Yeah. See my remarks @31.
Fox is deplorable. Plain and simple – not much else to understand.
https://youtu.be/pp6y624gkus
@10 “Israel is a separate country, and the management of Israel is none of our business.”
In this small and shrinking world, anything that threatens peace anywhere is our business, and independent of that, oppression and injustice anywhere is the business of all moral and civilized peoples everywhere.
“let’s withdraw entirely from the Middle East”
This kind of 1920s isolationist thinking not only doesn’t work (see 1930s and 1940s for historical proof), but in a nuclear-armed world is positively dangerous. We have to be involved in managing problems elsewhere, because if we ignore them, they’ll come to us (see 9/11/2001 for proof).
Your thinking is 200 years out of date.
@13 “I don’t think he’d be our strongest nominee”
You don’t think so, either, so what does that make you?
@14 9.
For all the scary headlines about coronavirus, the experts tell us that for most people it’ll be like a bad flu, many won’t even know they have it, and the mortality is concentrated among mostly-elderly people with underlying medical conditions.
Pneumonia kills far more elderly people who are already in the process of aging out of this life than this virus will.
Doctor Dumbfuck, who claims to be an M.D.,* surely knows this.**
So, the only logical conclusion is that he’s trolling it, as just another cow to be milked for all she’s worth.
* This has never been confirmed or verified.
** Unless he’s either lying about his credentials or is grossly professionally incompetent.***
*** Wait for it, he’s now going to come back with something about “fleeing felons.”
33,
During a news conference on Monday responding to questions about protective measures for troops stationed overseas in countries with massive outbreaks and in the absence of a coordinated response from the US in the form of screening and testing, Esper falsely claimed that decisions about protective measures remained in the hands of commanders of individually affected troops.
This morning DOD sources reported that during a teleconference meeting with combat commanders around the world Esper had ordered all commanders to obtain his approval in advance of all protective measure decisions to avoid embarrassing president BoneSpurs or conflicting with the political messaging coming from the White House.
Out of caution some planned joint exercises have been canceled, scaled back, or delayed. There was no unauthorized movement of troops contemplated or involved in any of the discussions. Just more of the usual White House lying and sacrificing troops for politics. As usual bot-farm pussy is just serving up bullshit. But it is a carefully prepared and precisely seasoned pro-RapeHero bullshit.
@17 “Just yesterday y’all were saying I claimed to be an independent. … Make up yer fuckin’ minds.”
Not all of us. You apparently didn’t read what I posted on this subject.
“I will vote for Inslee, Larsen. Don’t have a credible reason not to.”
And no reason to give you much credit for doing so, and lots of reason to consider this mere bullet-dodging, if Inslee’s challenger is Tim Eyman and Larsen’s challenger is that Tea Party, anti-gay, retread Dan Mathews, who lost to Larsen by 61%-31% in 2012 and will get crush again in 2020.
“How many principled conservatives ya know who are pro-choice?”
None on this blog. It’s possible there’s a pro-choice conservative here, but there’s not a “principled” conservative here, only a tiresome troll who perpetually engages in race, gender, and sexual orientation baiting when not rehashing ancient political history — and who has never once criticized any of Trump’s constitutional violations, corrupt depradations, or countless and endless lies (including lies about science in general and specific medical matters). You are anything but “principled.” You are unprincipled.
@19 In December 1944, Gen. Anthony McAuliffe, commander of the 101st Airborne Division at Bastogne, had a very good conversation with the Germans demanding his surrender. It consisted of one word.
This negotiation may go down into history, too, but not with the same cachet. It’s more on a par with this:
https://i.pinimg.com/originals/20/12/ff/2012ff1ea51f0dc9562efd8225f45d63.jpg
@21 Yeah, the former First Lady of Arkansas shouldn’t speak with in an Arkansas dialect. That’s scandalous.
Whether she does matters far, far more to Dumbfuck than whether people in Arkansas are getting food stamps or Medicaid.
As a Libertarian (he’s not remotely an “independent”), he believes in rugged individualism. For others. As a doctor, he doesn’t need taxpayer charity. His family won’t go hungry if there is no food stamp program, or bankrupt if they have a medical emergency.
What people like him call socialism — those with more than enough helping those in need — is actually insurance. A spreading of risks among many against misfortune that befalls a few. A concept beloved in capitalist circles. In fact, Social Security and Medicare are called “social insurance,” not “socialism,” and are structured like, and function like, private insurance programs.
He just doesn’t want to pay the premiums, that’s all. Because he doesn’t think he’ll ever need the benefits. But I’ll bet he cashes his Social Security checks and is on Medicare.
@22 “Well, I’m sold. Biden!!!!”
Then you and I agree on something.
43,
Any Clinton accent is just another excuse. And a pretty dumb one at that.
The point isn’t the accent. Everyone at Boeing knows a dozen people who moved to Charleston and within two years began peppering conversations with “y’all” and “bless your heart”.
The point is the excuse.
It voted for treason and violent sexual assault.
It neeeeeds an excuse.
It won’t find one.
But it will never stop neeeeding one.
@35 Obviously staged. Fox probably put him up to it. In their shop, they call this “journalism,” but I call it propaganda.
As a stand-up comedy routine, it’s kinda funny.
But the messaging to Fox’s generally ignorant and science-denying audience — it’s no big deal — is anything but funny. Thanks to Fox, those assholes will be coughing on us in public places. Fox just gave them a license to do so.
The words “principled” and “Republicans” can’t be used in the same sentence, except in a historical context.
In 1974, a delegation of Republican senators told a transgressing president of their party to resign, or they’d help remove him from office. He resigned.
In 2019, every Republican senator except one looked the other way at a more seriously transgressing president of their party. Nothing to see here, folks, move along. Not a principle to be seen, except the senator-for-life from Utah.
Susan Collins is just as unprincipled as the rest of them. Unlike her vote to confirm Justice Rapey, which could have made a difference, her vote to ignore President Rapefinger’s corrupt scheme to bribe a foreign government to smear a political rival made no difference to the outcome. It merely exposed her as the two-faced, forked-tongued, tin soldier she is.
Voters in Maine can restore some principle to the U.S. Senate this fall by sending her into retirement.
Biden wins big in Virginia’s first returns — 54% to Sanders’ 24%; Warren and Bloomberg are both under 10%.
Thanks to Fox, those assholes will be coughing on us in public places.
No. They won’t.
I don’t shop at WalMart.
I don’t attend monster truck rallies.
I have never set foot in any Applebee’s, Cracker Barrell, or Arby’s.
I don’t attend professional “wrasslin” events.
I have no need to visit the local family courts, bankruptcy courts, or bail hearings for close family members.
I’m not sure why they exist, but I am confident that I will never be inside of an AutoZone.
I have no need to shop for crocheted beer can hats at the swap meet at the drag strip.
I do not “vape”.
I can’t even tell you which state “Sturgis” is in, nor do I care to know.
And I’m sure as fuck never doing this: https://thesheaf.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/showgirls-pole-licking-scene.jpg
As always, modern conservatives are their own worst enemies.
11 – You prefer a totalitarian form of government then. Perhaps North Korea would be more to your liking.
I have never set foot in any Applebee’s, Cracker Barrell, or Arby’s.
I took the family to Applebee’s once. Had a coupon. Thought I’d see what the fuss was about. The place was pretty busy. I guess everyone had the same coupon deal.
There a was a sleazy, packed horseshoe bar and as the night wore on, two rednecks went at each other.
One of the waitresses said, “this is why I don’t work at a casino.” Applebees was a step up!
Never again.
50,
For some crazy reason I’ve managed to drink coffee every morning for two decades, drink Belgian beer and Australian Shiraz, and own an Italian made shotgun and I haven’t once had to show my papers or sign a loyalty oath.
Weird, right? Boggles the mind.
I know it’s just me. Probably because I’m part of the “elites” and so the DEEEEP STATE didn’t put a red sticker on my mailbox.
51,
I’ve always assumed it’s the kind of place where the chairs are bolted to the floor and the television has a cage around it.
Clearly it’s time for new Democrat primary rules, now that Joe Biden has said there shouldn’t be any rule changes.
Besides, after Warren drops out after her third-place finish in her home state, the DNC’s gonna need someone
1) female
2) POC
3) less than 75 years old.
Before the end of the week Biden will refer to #WallStreetPete as “my gay son”.
OK, who else is looking forward to reading Goldy’s attempts to seem enthused about the Biden campaign for four months beginning in mid-July?
Alternatively:
What’s worse than having to shill for a billionaire so you can feed yourelf?
Piece of Crap?
He was a fuckstick. But Biden will take his money, anyway.
No Roy Jones. AL Senate seat will flip to the GOP.
583 dude:
And then there’s YLB, who claims she is owed free cable due to her status as a Uighur refugee. She supports Warren.
How shitty is Warren’s candidacy?
She’s going to come out of Super Tuesday with very few delegates. No higher than third place in her own home state.
Al Gore lost the presidency because he finished in second place in his home state.
” … Texas Democrats face … closures of hundreds of polling places in counties with large or growing Black and Latino populations. … Texas officials began rapidly decreasing the number of polling places in these counties [after] Supreme Court overturned a key provision of the Voting Rights Act in 2013 [that] required … states with histories of racist voting practices to get clearance from the federal government before closing voting places or changing their voting laws.”

Roger Rabbit Commentary: Republicans consider this a political strategy. Democrats consider it racist and illegitimate. I’ll vote for the Democrats. Voting Republican is attacking other people’s right to vote.
If Democrats win the White House and Congress this fall, they need to address this as a first order of business. Good first steps would be federalizing elections for federal offices, and appointing an attorney general who will sue state officials who interfere with the voting rights of their citizens.
@61 You have a strange penchant for worrying about candidates who (i) are female, and (ii) aren’t going to be president, either now or in the future.
I’m not a doctor, but based on common sense, I recommend you get your head examined.
Wow. Scrolling through this thread, Doctor Dumbfuck is having paroxysms this evening. The growing likelihood that Joe Biden will be our next president sure has his panties in a twist.
NBC headline “Biden takes 8 states, Sanders wins 3, Texas too close to call” says it all.
@ 65
It infers Warren is unlikable. We already knew that.
It says nothing about the biggest prize, California.
It does NOT say it all, Roger Dumbfuck Rabbit. You beclown yourself yet again.
64,
Didn’t the bot-farm pussy at some point claim it would be okay with Biden?
But of course that must have been right after Iowa. Right about the time it developed a mild chubby over Mayor Pete.
{Texas stuff from Google that doesn’t match other sources, so I deleted it]
I don’t know what that means. But y’all need to work on y’all’s enthusiasm in coming months.
@66 Oh, I see … California decides the nominee, and the other 49 states don’t count. Dumbfuck math. Gotcha.
BREAKING NEWS!!!
According to the Decision Desk 2020 advanced predictive algorithm John Delaney will finish the evening with zero delegates.
Pocahontas Liz is finished.
Alabama Senate GOP primary:
Sessions – 32.5%
Tuberville – 30.8%
Byrne – 27.3%
Moore – 6.8%
Where is divine intervention when Roy Moore needs it? I guess God doesn’t want him to be a senator. There’s no other way to explain it.
Now mount your pony and ride off into the sunset, Roy, and feel free to take Doctor Dumbfuck with you. Giddyap!
https://www.nola.com/opinions/article_4df95b61-9a2d-5379-9322-23e50249ee7c.html
@71 I wouldn’t say that. She has 1 more vote in the U.S. Senate than Roy Moore has. And next January, that will also be 1 more vote than Susan Collins has.
“Beclown yourself.” Now there’s a phrase. Somewhat more urgent, though, is that you de-dumbfuck yourself. But that’ll never happen. You’ll die a dumbfuck.
@73 – It’s over for Warren. It’s time to recognize reality.
Wait ’til this overrated squirt realizes MSG is the only publicity he gets.
Yup, they’re gonna @ 54 fuck Tulsi over.
Once Warren’s out it’s down to three white guys in their late 70s.
@75 Au contraire, Warren still has 5 years left of her Senate term. Being president isn’t everything. If the Dems take the Senate this fall, you haven’t begun to hear the last of her. She will be writing a lot of legislation. You probably won’t like it. Tough shit.
@76 Who cares? Besides you and him, I mean.
@77 To see if she belongs on that debate stage, why don’t we count delegates?
Biden – 252
Sanders – 215
Buttigieg – 26
Warren – 15
Bloomberg – 4
Gabbard – 1
Yup. Even the candidates who dropped out, or are about to, have more delegates than her. Way more. Giving her a podium in the next debate would be malpractice. You probably know a thing or two about malpractice, doc.
Biden has won Texas.
Democratic vote total in Texas so far: 1.7 million
Latest CNN poll of Texas voters: Trump 47%, Biden 48%
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_United_States_presidential_election_in_Texas#Primary_elections
Yep, looks like the Lone Star State might be in play. Even with Texas, Trump could lose; but without Texas, there’s no plausible way for him to win.

When someone tells Bob to cover his cough he reaches behind with his hand, as he ‘S twisting at the hip, and cups his hand over the crack of his ass cheeks.
24 dad in Tennessee due to the bad weather – it’s all hype. I mean probably around 50 died in traffic accidents that day too. Amirite.
On to more important news – Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash, along with his daughter.
Look at that! 183,000 jobs added! During the Obama years you could expect a mere 200,000.
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/us-adds-183000-private-sector-jobs-in-february-adp-says-2020-03-04
What an economy! Totally awesome! Best there ever was! Jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs! Jobs for everyone! 183,000 of them Jobs!
Bloomberg drops out, endorses Biden.
71,
Racist slurs look good on you! The way you wear that right off the rack, you must be a Republican.
Record D turnout in yesterday’s primaries would not happen according to troll-bot and his bot farm. The fifty thousand fake Twitter accounts warning of “The Fix” would keep them all home. Cryptic messaging about “The corrupt establishment” was going to take away all the momentum. Even the RapeHero himself insists that to win he only needs to turn out his base and keep the Democrats home.
https://youtu.be/SlSylJRwtCk
Following last nights miserable failure by Jeff Sessions in Alabama, president RapeHero, showing his usual political tact, lashed out at Sessions this morning, potentially dooming his chances in the runoff to be held at the end of the month.
https://youtu.be/SlSylJRwtCk
The next display of president RapeHero’s “wisdom and courage” will come when he leg humps Tommy Tuberville at a Tiki Torch rally, thus ensuring a huge turnout for incumbent Doug Jones.
https://youtu.be/SlSylJRwtCk
And then there’s YLB, who claims she is owed free cable due to her status as a Uighur refugee. She supports Warren.
Heh. We can just see dimfuk holding back from busting another rape fantasy. Uighur women are routinely raped in Xi’s reeducation prisons. Dimfuk must have a deposit in to join Limbaugh on its next ed fueled sex tour. Affirm Clinic, dimfuk
David Frum apparently doesnt know crap about paying bills. With comcast you use a cash back card and autopay. The card is charged when the bill comes due. Never, ever carry a balance on a credit card, especially a cash back.
No fucking way I vote for the senator from MBNA establishment candidate in the primary.
