But I digress, other than to point out that Roger Dumbfuck Rabbit shouldn’t expect his losers to climb any time soon:
Buffett said such considerations might be having an effect on the market, perhaps delaying “hundreds of billions” of dollars in profit-taking.
“It would tend to depress stocks that have behaved badly, because people would be taking the losses now. And it would tend to defer gains and reduce sellers currently that would be in stocks with very big appreciation,” he said.

So the guy whose secretary sat next to Mrs. O during the ’12 SOTU address, natch, will do his best to avoid higher taxation, if the law allows. Of course, he is, or was, a guy calling for higher taxation. Guess he has become somewhat more comfortable paying a lower rate than his secretary.
Come to think of it, Roger Dumbfuck Rabbit probably has never paid a higher tax rate than a secretary, either.

The point I’ve always made is, it doesn’t take any brains. All I did was ride the market up. Even a rabbit can do it. Shit, even Doctor Dumbfuck can do it. Most of all, it doesn’t require work.
Working is the dumbest way to make a living there is. In our system, money goes to owners, not to workers.

@godwinha spews:
It was merely two weeks ago that Roger Dumbfuck Rabbit was telling us that it is now solar’s, er, day in the sun. All it needs is for utilities to get out of the way.
All of these tactics are designed to work like tariffs. You know what tariffs are. A tariff taxes foreign goods to keep them out of the country. These policies impose exogenous costs on solar power to drive it off the market. Why would anyone do that if solar can’t compete without subsidies? In that case, all you have to do is repeal the subsidies.
http://horsesass.org/open-thre.....nt-1345676
Maybe you also have to retain the tariffs, dude.
A fractured U.S. solar industry will present differing proposals today to the U.S. International Trade Commission, which is considering measures to prop up domestic solar panel makers, who say cheap imports have left them on the verge of collapse.
After hearing different ideas, the commission will decide what trade remedies to recommend to President Trump, who will make a final decision later this year.
https://seekingalpha.com/news/3298889-solar-industry-debates-trade-remedies?ifp=0
Better for solar to be subsidized, which imposes exogenous costs on the purchaser of solar technology and on all WA ratepayers forced to fund a pool to provide “rebates” to solar purchasers, than for exogenous costs to be placed on solar manufacturers, I suppose.
Roger Dumbfuck Rabbit, solar cannot compete without very substantial subsidies. Neither can wind, wave, or any other newfangled ‘renewable’ energy source. But I thank you, Roger Dumbfuck Rabbit, for paying into that fund which reimburses me for the solar energy my system produces. The system has nearly paid for itself thanks to the forced generosity of SnoPUD rate payers, and I have three years of free money still to come.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@7 Correction, 17 times, I forgot to multiply by 8 hours.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@10 “Roger Dumbfuck Rabbit, solar cannot compete without subsidies.”
Then why are two domestic solar panel manufacturers asking Drumpf to impose tariffs on cheap Chinese solar panels?
Go buy the current issue of Barrons and read the cover story. It might help you get some facts. It can’t help you get any brains, though.
It starts out, very first paragraph, “Cheap imported solar cells have fueled an alternative-energy boom in the U.S., making solar cost-competitive with coal and natural gas in some states ….” And then, further along, “Solar power generates only a pittance of U.S. electricity — about 1%. But it’s growing at a furious rating, accounting for 39% of new electricity generation in the U.S. last year, more than any other source.”
While noting that government subsidies have helped fuel this growth, the article points out that solar costs have dropped 40% since 2015, and the real action is big utilities building large-scale solar installations.

Read the piece from which you quote, Roger Dumbfuck Rabbit:
It says Cheap imported solar cells have fueled an alternative-energy boom in the U.S., making solar cost-competitive with coal and natural gas in some states…
It doesn’t state that significantly more expensive domestically produced solar equipment is fueling that boom, does it?
The imported stuff is driving the boom, Roger Dumbfuck Rabbit. Domestic producers can’t compete. Unless exogenous costs, to use your term for it, are introduced in the form of a tariff. Or unless asymmetric subsidies, such as $0.15/kwh for foreign-made and 0.54/kwh for manufactured-in-state WA solar production paid to the producer, are forced on the market.
I don’t need to go buy the current issue of Barron’s. I receive it electronically every Saturday. It’s one way I know you’re a dumbfuck before you proclaim it to the HA world.
A tariff on something produced by a foreign competitor, Roger Dumbfuck Rabbit, is a de facto subsidy to the domestic producer. That subsidy has a cost, and the cost is overall higher prices to the consumer.

The grand total:
a net loss of 1,042 state and federal Democratic posts, including congressional and state legislative seats, governorships and the presidency. Democratic U.S. Senate seats fell from 55 to 46.
Democratic U.S House plummeted from 256 seats to 194. Democratic governerships slipped from 28 to 16.
GOP controls both legislative chambers in 32 states – an all-time high, according to NCSL – while Democrats have total control of just 13 state legislatures.
In 24 of the 32 states with Republican-controlled legislatures, voters have also elected Republican governors. In contrast, Democrats have a “political trifecta” in just SIX states.
What else have you lost? The JUDICIARY.
The president YOU elected does indeed spit out some embarrassing, ugly, ill-advised tweets, but they pale to the number from your herd and horde, ALL of whom say and do ugly, vile things: (Antifa, SPLC, SEIU, #NoDAPL, Ferguson, BLM … all supported by Soros.)
One of the single most impressive things about the Democrat party is the way they hold together. At any given time on any given subject they stay on a single united message while the GOP is far too often like blind dyslexic cats heading in every direction. The Dem herd and horde hang tight and all sing the same song in tune from the same song book.
One of the worst traits of the Democrat party is that they hold together and absolutely all stay on the same message, EVEN WHEN it’s pointedly ugly, divisive, insulting and damaging.
You Dems have perfected the ‘either you’re with us or you’re against us‘ game: You’re with us or you’re a @$*^# racist, you’re a @$*^# bigot, you’re a @$*^# sexist, you’re a @$*^# homophobe, you’re a @$*^# mysogenist, you’re a @$*^# deplorable.
The problem is, that works against YOU because if YOU dare disagree with the herd, if YOU dare think or express the herd is wrong, YOU FEAR YOUR HERD, because you know that tactic too intimately. Your herd and horde loves to screech Dissent is patriotic, but they whisper and nudge as long as it’s not dissent against us and our message.
Luke 9: 51-56 – Gospel tells us: “They journeyed to another village.” Simple as that! Christ won victory because he didn’t waste time on fickle, whimsical and capricious expectations; rather as a true soldier, he forgave, forgot and continued to the next town.

Guns Are Cool spews:
-In the United States it is perfectly legal for a baby to own an assault rifle equipped with an automatic bump fire stock and a double drum C-mag holding 100 armor-piercing rounds.
-There are more firearms retailers in America than there are supermarkets.
-The U.S. military spends more money on weapons than the next 10 nations combined. Only about 32% of American households have private firearms. Yet the number of civilian firearms in the U.S. is more than ten times the number of all military and law enforcement firearms combined.
-There is no national database identifying or tracking any firearms in the United States.
-2 million new paper records of firearms transactions are shipped to the ATF in West Virginia every month. They are stored in banker boxes in steel shipping containers in a parking lot so that their weight does not collapse the building. These are only the records from retailers that have closed. Millions more remain scattered in file cabinets, shoe boxes, and binders all across America.
-When a firearm used in a crime is recovered, even a crime as spectacularly lethal as the spree in Las Vegas, the only way to trace the ownership of that firearm is by hand searching through boxes of moldy paper records buried in the back of shipping containers. And that’s if we are lucky and the retailer has closed. Otherwise the traces often fail. Some retailers maintain records on sheets of toilet paper stapled together. This is said to comply with the law.
-On any given day in America about 1000 new firearms trace requests are made to the ATF against an ongoing backlog of about 5000. Most take about a week. About two thirds produce some result.
