Today marks the 75th anniversary of the Doolittle Raid, and the surviving Raiders, who held their final reunion in 2013, have been down to one — Doolittle’s copilot — since June of last year.

It’s Spring. Book season.
Shortly after, Clinton’s aide Huma Abedin approached Clinton and told her Obama was on the phone.
“It’s the president,” Abedin said.
When Clinton received the call, she realized she had let down the president, herself, her party and the country.
“Mr. President,” she said on the phone. “I’m sorry.”

1 – The Army Air Corps had horrific losses in WWII. If fact, the percentage losses were actually higher than anywhere else in the US forces. Had the rest of the military lost men and equipment at such a high proportion, the outcome of the conflict may have gone the other way.
Nowadays things are different. The Air Force has improved it’s survivability immensely, and the Army certainly enjoys the air superiority. If the Army really wants to kill people and destroy property, it likes to use the Air Force whenever possible.

In GA-6 Tom Price carried the district by 23 points last fall. Romney did likewise in 2012. Given those results from the last two major elections, in a nationwide tossup election battle a Republican candidate could be predicted to carry this district by about 9.5 points – a 9.5 point Republican lean compared to the nationwide mood according to the results of the last two elections.
There are 47 Traitor held House seats that lean more Democratic than GA-6. That’s why this district matters. It measures how much the Treason Party’s support for Трахните лицо Фон клоун палку and trading national sovereignty for Russian oil leases has weakened them with their own voters. It’s not really about “Resistance”, although that movement is crucial to crushing the traitors and removing them from power. It’s a measure of how badly the Traitors are harming themselves.

The truth is, many Republicans hate Donald Trump. Just like Hillary Clinton was supposed to win in 2016 (it was, after all, her turn to be President), Jeb Bush was supposed to get the nomination. The establishment Republicans would rather lose control of House and Senate than see a Trump-friendly Republican win GA-6.
So, Democrats, things are looking up for you.
Elijah Dominic McDotcom spews:
There’s no such thing as an “establishment” traitor.
Ryan? McConnell? Chafetz? McCarthy? Collins? McMorris Rodgers? McCain? Those pieces of shit kiss the Russian treason ring whenever Pissident Fuckface Von Clownstick passes by. The entire “conservative” enterprise has sold itself and, however much they can, our national security and prosperity to a badly conceived long-con.
The people turning on them now are the very same aging, backward, ignorant, racist, dupes they’ve been dog whistling for the last fifty years.
There’s only one Republican party. And it is utterly irredeemable.

Our point estimates suggest that a one dollar increase in the minimum wage leads to a 14 percent increase in the likelihood of exit for a 3.5-star restaurant (which is the median rating), but has no discernible impact for a 5-star restaurant (on a 1 to 5 star scale).

Surprisingly, not from Fortune, but instead a working paper from the Harvard Business School.
Not unlike the experience found in SF, Capitol Hill restaurants comping Goldy free meals are doing just fine.
Limited-service restaurants in Seattle? Not so much.
Congratulations, Goldy. You’ve done your share in the furtherance of Two Seattles: Restaurants favored by Belltown hipsters and by Ed Murray’s neighbors are doing well, but people commuting in from Kent or from north Everett have increasingly fewer places in-town in which they can afford to eat.

So, we can add, “helps eliminate mediocre restaurants” to the long and growing list of benefits from a high minimum wage? Great!

In Newt Gingrich’s political playpen she trails a Democrat by 28 percent of the votes. The Treason candidate’s glide path puts her down about five nautical miles short of the outer marker.
