Wow Progressive Dud Elizabeth Fauxcohantas Warren is working her “magic” again! http://www.politico.com/story/.....13390.html

PuddyCommentary: Y’all can read about her verbal destruction of Obummer’s pick for Treasury undersecretary for domestic finance! It’s interesting to learn of two new rich noertheastern DUMMOCRETIN big money suppliers, “Reinier Beeuwkes III and his wife, Nancy”. Puddy will be watching these two over the next two years. More Big DUMMOCRETIN money. Where are the loud mouth creeps on HA DUMMOCRETINS who scream about big money on the Republican side? MIA of course! Puddy thought it was big money that Fauxcohantas Warren decried in politics?

Puddy wants to focus on this since Fauxcohantas Warren has a short memory!

She ascribed some of the problem to a worsening climate of economic opportunity for African-Americans than existed even a decade ago, according to attendees. And she said that the mortgage crisis affected black and Hispanic families more heavily, describing those groups as being “targeted.”

So Senator Warren… Jimmae Cahrta and Congressional DUMMOCRETINS promoted the 1977 Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). Where were you back then? Still in diapers? Watching Mr. Rogers? Sesame Street? Under Willie Cigar Clinton “In the 1990′s under the administration of Franklin Raines, a Clinton Administration appointee, Fannie Mae began to demand that the lending institutions that it dealt with prove that they were not redlining. This meant that the lending institutions would have to fulfill a quota of minority mortgage lending.” – Thayer Watkins, San Jose University professor of economics.

Then the NY Slimes trumpeted what Cigar man was doing in 1999… http://www.nytimes.com/1999/09.....nding.html

Home ownership has, in fact, exploded among minorities during the economic boom of the 1990′s. The number of mortgages extended to Hispanic applicants jumped by 87.2 per cent from 1993 to 1998, according to Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies. During that same period the number of African Americans who got mortgages to buy a home increased by 71.9 per cent and the number of Asian Americans by 46.3 per cent.

BTW vomited covered deadtoad, Puddy received a conventional home mortgage during those years. Weren’t Clinton’s guvmint peeps (read DUMMOCRETIN bureaucrapts) purposely pushing the narrative that they were offering the home ownership opportunity and that would help elevate low-income minority families out of poverty?

Then when this market collapsed in 2007 and 2008, and many minorities lost their homes due to these forced government programs producing racially poisonous minority bank lending practices, where was Fauxcohantas Warren then? Where was she screaming about those forced progressive lending policies? Yet the Congressional DUMMOCRETINS became very upset when Republicans rightfully pointed out these forced government programs producing racially poisonous minority bank lending practices. Did they look at themselves for this program? Ummm…? NOPE!

We had Sheila Jackson Lee and Charlie Rangel and other CBC members threatening House mis-actions if Freddie Mae and Fannie Mac under Franklin Raines was held responsible for those forced government programs producing racially poisonous minority bank lending practices.

More government “good intentions” destroying minority home ownership dreams whom as low information voters continue to lock step vote for those same people who took away their homes!

And now the gift that keeps giving… Lois Lerner and the IRS Scandal… http://www.judicialwatch.org/p.....elections/

Judicial Watch today released internal Department of Justice (DOJ) documents revealing that former IRS official Lois Lerner had been in contact with DOJ officials about the possible criminal prosecution of tax-exempt entities two full years before what the IRS conceded was its “absolutely inappropriate” 2012 targeting of the organizations. According to the newly obtained documents, Lerner met with top Obama DOJ Election Crimes Branch officials as early as October 2010.

PuddyCommentary: Looks like Elijah Cummings has some tasty crow to eat. The plates are piling up, higher and higher. Puddy hopes Cummings is hungry! As Judicial Watch wrote… No wonder the Department of Justice under Eric Holder has done no serious investigation of the Obama IRS scandal. And if y’all remember Lois Lerner was trying to get one Tea Party group member thrown into prison to try and stop these Tea Party activities. Puddy already gave link. Seek the crazed database deala for the standard link replay! Yessiree, no wonder! Richard Nixon was impeached for far less!

Scott Pelley, Brian Williams and David Muir would open their nightly newscasts with this… The wimens on the view would be screaming to high heaven. All the standard left wrong web sites used here would have a lede on this. HA DUMMORETIN heads would start a thread. Yet nary a peep from DUMMOCRETINS.

Where is the NOW gang who castigated Marvel Comics artist for Spider-Woman’s big butt? Where is the NOW gang who castigated the public over working mothers’ having to produce home cooked meals?

Biased news people produce biased news reports. There is no we report you decide in left wrong libtard DUMMOCRETIN circles! No left wrong slobbering leftist DUMMOCRETIN msm asked Biden to apologize either! Joe BiteME is being Joe BiteME! Another typical msm double standard in action!

As Puddy leaves for a while… why not discuss Lena Dunham and her book of lies over a brewski… http://www.breitbart.com/Big-H.....r-scrutiny Dunham blames a “rape” on a man whom from all investigations is innocent. And does Dunham apologize?

Through various sources, Breitbart News learned that another news organization is pursuing other leads and individuals. One particular name came up twice. His name is not Barry, but for obvious reasons we won’t reveal his name. A thorough, good faith search did reveal that this individual attended Oberlin at the same time Dunham did. If this is him, two individuals directly involved in Oberlin’s Republican organization did not know the man Dunham describes as Oberlin’s “resident conservative.”

Oberlin College is a participant in this rape lie cover-up!

A little late to the table, but I wanted to comment on some comments on a previous thread regard Obama being responsible for income inequality, not that the commenters had a problem with income inequality, they just seemed to want to place blame. You know blaming is always the negative, so regardless of how you feel on the subject, like even if you don’t believe in global warming, if you can blame someone else than hey you are the right track

Anyways, I was going to look back at the comments to see if there was any factual data that might go against my argument, but I am too lazy.

Anyways I like to think income inequality started with the crash in the market, back in 2008/2009. You see, even working for a fairly reputable company, on of the top 150 privately owned companies in the US, I was subject to a freeze in my salary in 2009 and 2010. Our annual reviews are coming due, and I was reviewing paperwork from the past and I don’t even recall it but there is paperwork showing that I got no raise in 2009 and 2010 for the reason of the freeze on salaries. Time were tough even for the top 150 privately owned company in the us.

So I’d like to think that 2008 and 2009 stock market crash, which Obama wasn’t to blame for, was also a contributor to income inequality in this country.

So you try to take what is good about an Obama Recovery and try to tarnish it with something of income inequality, even though you probably don’t believe in income inequality. Democrats are trying to raise lower wage incomes, Republicans fight it, they want everyone to have low wages. What hogwash and hypocrites.

Over three subsequent years, we find that binding minimum wage increases had
significant, negative effects on the employment and income growth of targeted workers.

Lost income reflects contributions from employment declines, increased probabilities of
working without pay (i.e., an “internship” effect), and lost wage growth associated with
reductions in experience accumulation. Methodologically, we show that our approach
identifies targeted workers more precisely than the demographic and industrial proxies
used regularly in the literature. Additionally, because we identify targeted workers on
a population-wide basis, our approach is relatively well suited for extrapolating to estimates
of the minimum wage’s effects on aggregate employment. Over the late 2000s, the
average effective minimum wage rose by 30 percent across the United States. We estimate
that these minimum wage increases reduced the national employment-to-population ratio
    by 0.7 percentage point.

    @27

It’s deeper than that. Conserviworld has plucked tho obscure UCSD econ paper out of the hundreds and don’t understand it. But it is proof of something.

Bound vs. Unbound in other words states where the minimum wage was already higher than the new federal minimum fared better in the recession. It is possible that states with higher minimums and therefore more disposable income fared better because of the higher purchasing power of their poorest workers

The authors don’t explore questions like this but pepper the work with variants of “other things being equal.” But they already acknowledge things weren’t equal. Some states were unbound and not equal.

It’s the same long con. Ignore reams of peer reviewed research that says cigarettes cause cancer, this paper funded by Heritage says there’s no link. These four researchers are right, the other 700 are wrong. Ignore climate data, this slim minority is right. Ignore water table data, fraking is safe, this slim minority of scientists say so and the majority of researchers are wrong.

Looks like Gov. Christie just had some bad news break out.

From WYNC (New Jersey Public Radio):

…newly disclosed phone records – supplied by AT&T to the New Jersey legislature and obtained by WNYC – show that Christie's current Chief of Staff, Regina Egea, communicated by cell phone with Gov. Christie 12 times during that hearing on December 9, 2013. The Governor initiated the contact, about 30 minutes into the testimony, and sent a total of three texts to the aide.  Egea replied nine times before the testimony concluded. The records show only one other text from Egea to Christie that month, on Christmas Day.

    This is important because…

The new evidence contrasts with a report the governor's legal team issued last March, which did not reveal any texts about the lane closures sent from Christie to anyone from September 2013, when the Fort Lee traffic tie-ups occurred, through January. And it contradicts the sworn testimony of Egea that there was only one text from her to Christie that day.

I’m not so much talking about tanking the economy as I am about putting a lot of people out of work. I’ve said before that not enough emphasis is given to the number of people who will come out as losers in a large wage increase scenario, and I’m not dissuaded at all from that perspective by the results in the study I linked. Not yet, anyway. Again, this is why I brought it up.

If you nationalized it, wouldn’t a decrease in the employment-to-population ratio of 0.7% be an awful lot of lost jobs?

Your point about WA in 1998 noted. No argument. When gas was $1.06 a gallon and the labor participation rate was significantly higher, you’re right. A wage increase was reasonably smoothly absorbed into the economy.

AT&T has turned over phone records of a top aide to New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie to the legislative panel investigating the George Washington Bridge lane closures.

Investment banking giant Goldman Sachs has become perhaps the most prominent symbol for everything that is wrong with the U.S. financial system, but most Americans cannot even begin to explain what they do or how they have made tens of billions of dollars from the economic collapse of America. Time for the Puddy Gruber Report… Puddy will first venture to the ASSkissing network! NBC News finally acknowledged what they hid from their public viewership for the last five weeks! http://newsbusters.org/blogs/c.....fter-first

Williams began the 2-minute-and-12-second segment by remarking that “it is unlikely that most Americans have heard the name Jonathan Gruber until a few weeks ago, when a video emerged of him insulting their intelligence.” His statement can be viewed as rather ironic, considering the fact that the viewers of his own program were kept in the dark on the ObamaCare architect, depriving them knowledge of the story until now.

The segment, reported on by NBC News lead Capitol Hill correspondent Kelly O’Donnell, was rather thorough as it included O’Donnell attempting to personally interview Gruber and his lawyers as they left the hearing and declared that Gruber bucked the trend of most congressional witnesses have in that he, instead, “made things worse” for himself “during a four-hour public shaming.”

Wow if NBC News think he screwed the pooch, it isn’t going too well for ObummerCare!

The problem with the PDF you are referring to is that it is covers the period of the financial crisis of 2007–08 which led to a global melt down of the entire world economy. In that kind of turmoil dealing in trillions of dollars how can anyone claim to measure the relationship between minimum wage increase and job loss/creation?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F.....E2%80%9308

But even if there was a 0.7% job loss, I strongly suspect it would be of short duration. You give people at the bottom of the pile a pay increase, they spend it. That increases sales which creates more jobs and ultimately more that compensate for any short term job loss.

Pardon Bush and Those Who Tortured

BEFORE President George W. Bush left office, a group of conservatives lobbied the White House to grant pardons to the officials who had planned and authorized the United States torture program. My organization, the American Civil Liberties Union, found the proposal repugnant…

But with the impending release of the report from the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, I have come to think that President Obama should issue pardons, after all — because it may be the only way to establish, once and for all, that torture is illegal.

Oh I’m just putting it here and asking the question….

There’s a reason it came up for you today. The authors of the paper are pretty careful to highlight that they can’t say if the data correlation is due to the minimum wage or if the recession had a greater effect. It’s peppered through the paper:

“The empirical literature is quite far from consensus, however, regarding the minimum wage’s potential contribution to these employment changes.”

“We show graphically that the housing crisis was more severe in unbound states, potentially biasing our estimates towards zero.”

“Demographic differences create the risk, however, that one might expect the employment trajectories of individuals in bound and unbound states to differ.”

Just a few examples of the authors admitting that their analysis is not causation and that all things were not equal.

But how is it playing in the right wing-o-sphere and by extension why you linked to it today? It’s not a case of you just, “why I asked, and did so in a hostile environment.”

“Minimum-Wage Hikes Really Do Hurt Low-Skilled Workers and Reduce Mobility” National Review (see how they draw conclusions that the paper’s authors admit aren’t supported?)

“Study: Minimum-wage hikes made the Great Recession worse for low-skill workers” American Enterprise Institute (see how they draw conclusions that the paper’s authors admit aren’t supported?)

“New evidence that the minimum wage kills jobs.” Washington Examiner, one of our troll’s favorite “sources.” (see how they draw conclusions that the paper’s authors admit aren’t supported?)

They were found guilty anyway. Some were executed, the others were locked up.

I do not need to read the report to know that the Democratic staff alone wrote it. The Republicans checked out early when they determined that their counterparts started out with the premise that the CIA was guilty and then worked to prove it.

When Congress created the intelligence committees in the 1970’s, the purpose was for people’s representatives to stand above the fray and render balanced judgments about this most sensitive aspect of national security. This committee departed from that high road and slipped into the same partisan mode that marks most of what happens on Capitol Hill these days.
