DLBottlePlease join us tonight (Tuesday) as the Seattle Chapter of Drinking Liberally makes a second visit to the Traveler Montlake, 2307 24th Ave E in Seattle. This week we will make a decision on our new home (which will be either the Roanoke Park Place Tavern or Traveler Montlake). We meet at 8:00 pm, but some folks show up early for dinner.




Can’t make it to Seattle? Check out another nearby DL meeting over the next week. The Tri-Cities and Shelton chapters also meet this Tuesday. The Lakewood and South Seattle chapters meet this Wednesday. For Thursday, the Spokane and Tacoma chapters meet.

With 215 chapters of Living Liberally, including nineteen in Washington state, four in Oregon, and three more in Idaho, chances are excellent there’s a chapter meeting somewhere near you.

    Conservatives…
    Pro-life….as long as it remains a fetus.
    If that fetus should be a female, Conservatives should control it.
    If it’s a male, Conservatives can murder them, as long as they are abortion doctors, black, Hispanic, poor, or gay.

    Pro-free speech….as long as Conservatives retains that right to speak while silencing others, (like getting rid of Net Neutrality.)

    For Conservatives , the free market should trump ethics, morals or the Constitution.

    Want to see what conservatives want to stop in Net Neutrality, want to see what they applaud if the goverment fails?

    — (The FCC wants to) Fulfill the “no blocking” goal by considering how, “consistent with the court opinion,” the agency can make sure that edge providers are not “unfairly blocked, explicitly or implicitly, from reaching consumers, as well as ensuring that consumers can continue to access any lawful content and services they choose.
    — Hold ISPs to their commitment to maintain an open Internet.
    — Look for ways to enhance competition for Internet access.

    The only “free” speech they want, is their own. Putin does the same thing, and conservatives admire him. Go figure.
