I know you don’t approve of Senator Craig in the biblical sense but he’s the perfect politician for you because of his “wide stance” on the issues. I mean he’ll hustle that “wide stance” everywhere – even a men’s restroom stall!

From a Bushite perspective, I’m sure that the spread of a cholera epidemic proves the surge is working. After all, if Iraqis are dying of natural causes like cholera rather than being blown up by insurgents, doesn’t that suggest the nation is settling down?

Craig’s “wide stance” defense just doesn’t stand up to scrutiny. In a test that a guy should only perform at home in the privacy of his own bathroom, drop your drawers to your ankles and place yourself on the old throne. You will note that the drawers pretty significantly constrain horizontal movement of the feet. A “wide stance” is just not possible, either for the good senator from Idaho while dumping or his party on the issues.

Well it’s only fair that the Senator be given an opportunity to demonstrate the effectiveness of his “wide stance” in a court of law before a jury of his peers. That will surely exonerate him before the people of the great state of Idaho and before his greatest fans in the right wing community – like Puddybud.

Excellent proposal. I believe the Senate Ethics Committee should promptly subpoena the good senator and compel a demonstration of the alleged “wide stance” technique. Political theater could not get any better.

Wow, where to begin? Does McDermott think he’s a medical doctor or something? Does cholera strike in a healthy, prosperous country? Does collapse of basic infrastructure, like plumbing, correlate to ongoing war?
Back in reality, an outbreak of water-borne disease, in a country which once had working plumbing, demonstrates just how badly our adventure in Iraq has failed.
Drinking foul water brings cholera. Imbibing right-wing rhetoric facilitates brain death. Which is worse?
