The Seattle Times editorializes:
REPUBLICAN Sen. John McCain will look silly and erratic if he does not participate in tonight’s presidential debate at the University of Mississippi.
Huh. Maybe McCain’s handlers are worried he’ll look silly and erratic if he does participate in tonight’s debate? That could explain why they’re so desperately trying to duck it.
Yeah, all those stories about left-wingnuts disrespecting american troops are just made up by right wingers. No spitting on troops or cussing them out or vandalizing their property.
Here’s a story about right-wingnuts vandalizing a vehicle of an obama supporter.
Oops, my bad. It was a story about left-wingnuts showing their respect for the troops.
Better hurry and read this, some of the comments are asking for the story to be removed. Must be more right-wingnuts not wanting the truth to be heard. Oops, my bad again. More left-wingnuts not wanting the truth to be heard.
Senator McCain’s on his way to Mississippi today NOBAMA is still in DC getting scolded by Dems for his remarks yesterday in the WH.
He torpedoes the discussion with false information he obtained by an insider who knew nothing.
NOBAMA biggest problem is his mouth.
Hey “Patriot”, you going to support your president when Obama is elected? Thought so.
Suck on it, you guys are going down.
I hope the moderator asks McCain if he shares Palin’s vision of Putin’s head floating across the border.
@1: Wow… so then all those stories about racist right-wingers terrorizing Obama campaign workers are just made up by left-wingers? You’re pathetic, dude. I love how one story proves your point, but many stories don’t prove ours. Why do all the right-wing trolls here have to be idiotic fucktards?
@2: Well, since McCain is going to be at the debate tonight, I guess the budget crisis is solved! I mean, his job is done and he single-handedly saved the economy! (Ummm… not.)
So much for *Obama’s* mouth getting him into trouble.
@1 “Yeah, all those stories about left-wingnuts disrespecting american troops are just made up by right wingers.”
You’re finally starting to see the light, Stupid Marvin, although you’re still too dense to realize that supporting the troops isn’t the same thing as supporting the war.
For example, Republicans support the war but they sure as hell haven’t supported the troops. Some of our troops are dead because the Republicans, when they controlled Congress, wanted to spend money on tax cuts for billionaires instead of body and vehicle armor for our soldiers. They didn’t support the troops when they tried to eliminate combat pay for soldiers serving in Iraq or warehoused wounded soldiers in moldy barracks. And they haven’t supported our veterans by cutting veterans benefits.
So you see Marvin, by voting Republican you are hurting our troops, and that makes you an unpatriotic, anti-American, troop-hating buttfuck.
The Times is wrong! There is a web ad by The McCain campaign in today’s Wall Street Journal declaring that he won the debate.

Best comment about McCain I’ve read anywhere:
He’s like a guy standing on the street corner gesticulating wildly and talking loud. You don’t know if he’s crazy or on a cell phone.
Marvin didn’t make up the Whitlow story. It’s being reported by the Dallas media this morning. What Marvin is making up is that the jerk who did this represents Democrats or liberals. That’s a fucking lie. This vandal has nothing in common with us, and we aren’t in sympathy with him, whoever he is. In fact, many Democrats and liberals are military veterans ourselves (like me). What happened to Sgt. Whitlow is revolting, and we deplore it as much as any conservative does.
@8 “He’s like a guy standing on the street corner gesticulating wildly and talking loud.”
Does he remind you a little bit of a young man with a Charlie Chaplin mustache standing on a Munich street corner in the 1920s gesticulating wildly and talking loud?
McCain doesn’t quite fit the same personality mold, but there are some ideological similarities, especially in McCain’s war-lust.
Wingnut writer Kathleen Parker, a columnist syndicated by the Washington Post Writers Group, writes:
George Will says McCain is too volatile. The New Republic says Palin should step down. Karl Rove – for Christ’s sake! – says McCain (along with Obama) is running dirty ads. If a skunk says you stink, you stink.

Now that is funny.
@2
“NOBAMA biggest problem is his mouth.”
Need correction NOBAMA biggest problem is No teleprompter….
Obama’s choice of Biden was reasoned, sober, reflective, and solid. Whether or not he is some sort of “best possible” VP (if one could exist) is not and has never been the point. He is an honroable, smart, and competent public servant with vast experience in national and foreign policy issues, and he could step in as president wihout missing a beat.
McCain’s pick of Sarah Palin, on the other hand, was rash, ill-considered, and resulted in the most publicly and woefully unprepared VP candidate in generations. She makes Dan Quayle seem intelligent and knowledgeable. She cannot answer a question about national issues intelligibly even when she’s reading from her notes. She’s pathetic, and that makes John McCain’s most important decision of his candidacy look idiotic. No wonder George Will calls him “unfit” to be president. He is.
@15 Patriot?? Given the wing-nut embrace of Orwellian newspeak, I take it from your screen name that you’re just another Republican traitor.
Looking at the polls and RCP EV, I have finally decided to concede the election. Obama has won. I weep for the nation.
Tonight’s debate is McCain’s “last gasp”, but it will be no good. Palin is also an albatross around his neck.
@17
Yeah, A liberal Democrat could never be a Patriot thanks for being truthful.
@19 Stupid goatfucker, I called you a traitor. I do so because you are a traitor.
I never thought I would say something like this.
Sarah Palin makes George W. Bush look positively brilliant.
Why am I being blocked?
tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/09/obamas_lead_nearly_doubles_in.php
• Rasmussen: Obama 50%, McCain 45%, with a ±2% margin of error, compared to an Obama lead yesterday of 49%-46%.
You won’t see the wingnuts citing THAT Rasmussen poll.
Don’t you think it’s clear that John McCain efectively rallied the House GOP to scuttle, rather than pass, the proposal to aid our financial sectors?
@20
Didn’t you mom teach you any manners?
@25
You libs didn’t want to see this bailout Remember oh didn’t read the memo?
How sick you libs are never standing for anything but what’s in for libs scumbags.
@26 Yup, an illiterate goatfucker traitor.
26 P
Yeah. Uh-huh. Guess you missed this one:
GOP Revolt Stalls Bailout Talks
What is it with you guys and your obsession with being divorced from reality?
28-What is it with you guys and your obsession with being divorced from reality?
You mean, like with the real reason for the crisis in the first place?

Yea, sure. Somebody in Texas vandelized a soldier’s jeep, spray-painting an anti-military slogan.
It doesn’t pass the smell test. First of all, it’s hardly likely that a liberal in Texas (Texas!) would take the risk of getting caught doing that. It sounds to me like some Texas wingnut was frustrated that liberals weren’t living up to what Limbaugh and Hannity told him they were like, so he decided to do something that could be blamed on him.
Besides, it’s classic Rovian strategy. He’s even been documented to have leaflets distributed attacking his own candidate just so he can express outrage at the nature of the false attacks. His opponant is left to mutter “I don’t know anything about it….”
Remember right before the 2006 elections, when some National Guard guy in Tacoma claimed that a bunch of liberals got out of a black suburban to beat him up? The cops didn’t believe that one for a minute, either.
