    All yours baby…

If the stimulus works, you get all the credit.

if it doesn’t, you get all the blame.

Relax, you’ve got the MSM in your pocket. Even if we end up with soup kitchens and a massive depression, it will somehow be the Republicans fault according to the media.

Me, I’m setting up a torch and pitchfork concession.

Puddybud, Hey it's the New Year... spews:

Obama’s 3.7 million newly created jobs will cost approximately $223,000 per job.

$274 billion in infrastructure spending is planned. Only $26 billion of it would be delivered into the economy by the Sept. 30 end of the budget year. I reckon that’s just 7 percent.

The Obama administration said $3 of every $4 in the package should be spent within 18 months to have maximum impact on jobs and taxpayers.

Associated Press says otherwise: “Three-quarters of stimulus to go in 18 months” January 22, 2009

Bloomberg News: Much of Stimulus Wont Be Spent Before 2011, CBO Says.

It won’t take the handfull of Republicans that still want a career long to figure out what’s what.

Puddybud, Hey it's the New Year... spews:

Trade groups state that every $1 billion in highway “stimulus” can be spent creating 34,779 new construction jobs. But Congress must first borrow that $1 billion out of the private economy. Won’t the private sector then lose the same number of jobs?

  6. 9

    Right Stuff spews:

There was nothing bipartisan about this bill.
It wasn’t written in a bipartisan manner and it wasn’t voted for in a bipartisan manner.

Democrats own this monster of wasteful spending.

    Rick D. spews:

Baby O and the Dems increase our national debt by 10% in a quick 8 days and own this boondoggle hook, line and sinker. Don’t worry though, it’s not your debt, it’s the debt of our children/grandchildren/great-grandchildren , so don’t worry about the details…just enjoy your $500/$1,000 dollar checks kids!

    Don Joe spews:

Congress must first borrow that $1 billion out of the private economy.

The first part of that sentence is true. The second part is false.

Won’t the private sector then lose the same number of jobs?

Nope. Even if we assume your statement above to be true (which it is not) the answer is still in the negative.

Anyone care to explain these points to the Economic illiterates among us?

    correctnotright spews:

    @11: Moron Ricky Dippy D.

Bush already has us on the hook for 2 trillion (Iraq war and the banking bailout) and they have done….nothing except make things worse.

What you don’t know about economics could filll a warehouse. Thanks for showing us how utterly stupid the republican majority is. Next thing you know, the republicans will be calling Hoover a liberal (oops, they already did that).

Get ready for this map to become even more blue:

    http://www.gallup.com/poll/114.....ation.aspx

Republicans – the party that yearns for a return to the old fashioned economy….of the great depression. That will be your rallying cry, you idiots. hahahahha

  10. 14

    correctnotright spews:

@9: Yup – it was not bipartisan because the whiner party took their ball and ran away. They had chances for input and they chose ….to whine instead of trying to fix things. What a bunch of little babies – that is why they have been kicked out of power.

  11. 15

    correctnotright spews:

@3: I guess math was not your strong point. You are calculating the first year of job creation that is spread over many years. Are you that stupid or do you just parrot the right wing idiots on talk radio?

    WeBentOverTheGOP spews:

You gotta chuckle at the right wing turds giving us financial advice. After spending the last 8 years ruining our country and our economy, we’re not really the least bit interested in what these assholes think. And we don’t need them. We proved it. We passed the bill without the support of one GOP traitor. That’s fine by me.

It’s also funny how the right wing turds cry about spending while their guy – AWOL GW BUSH spent more money than any President in US history.

Yes – as we know the GOP cowards are hypocrites. And America smacked em around good on Nov 4 in return. It was fun to watch as is their crying and moaning now.

America is laughing at the right wing cunts.

And by the way, as I type this – another nightmare is about to be dealt to you right wing idiots and fools. PRESIDENT OBAMA is signing a bill to protect women’s rights.

Suck on it GOP assholes! LOL!

I find it ironic that the republican party has to kowtow to Rush. For decades they built him up, and now they have to dance to his tune.

    http://www.nbcbayarea.com/news.....-Rush.html

In the story, GOP to Rush: Back Off, Gingrey is quoted as saying “it’s easy if you’re Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh or even sometimes Newt Gingrich to stand back and throw bricks.” This in response to Limbaughs caustic statments about newly elected President Obama.

But on Wednesday, Gingrey groveled before the Limbaugh.

“I apologize for putting my foot in my mouth like that,” he said. “Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Newt Gingrich, and other conservative giants are the voices of the conservative movement’s conscience. Everyday, millions and millions of Americans—myself included—turn on their radios and televisions to listen to what they have to say, and we are inspired by their words and by their determination,” Gingrey said.

Rush doesn’t allow for much diversity of opinion does he? He’s continuing the lock step republican concept. Great when it works, bad when you are marching toward a cliff.

    ArtFart spews:

It’s estimated that there’s still about $5 trillion worth of “toxic waste” derivatives floating around the financial “system”. The trillion or so that the banks were handed last year (between the first installment of Paulsen’s Rich Peoples’ Soup Kitchen and what Bernanke shoveled out of the Fed) was supposed to go toward them retiring that stuff, which they apparently didn’t do. In fact, since nobody even asked the banks to, they’ve provided no accounting of just what the hell they’re holding. Maybe they really don’t know.

What has been done with the bailout money, is that it’s been used by the banks to buy each other, so now we have a smaller number of even larger broke banks, run by the same incompetent, greedy schmucks who got us into this mess after the Bush administration gave them free reign to do whatever they wanted. Apparently the Republicans in Congress don’t have a problem with tossing them another trillion or two, but heaven help the Republic if we should do something so horrible as apply Federal resources to keeping ordinary people gainfully employed.

Obama may have made a serious mistake keeping Robert Gates on as SecDev. Gates appears to have spend most of his time since the “changing of the guard” building a case for starting a war against Iran, even as his new boss is preparing a new diplomatic initiative to cool things down between our two countries.

    Roger Rabbit spews:

@1 Great job of totally missing the point, dimwit! If Democrats were for sunshine, Republicans would vote against it. The GOP isn’t constructive. They’re simply against things and don’t seem to care what they’re against; anything Democrats are for (like saving the economy) will do. It often seems as though every last GOP member of Congress and the Legislature is a 4-year-old with ADHD who spends every waking minute kicking, screaming, and smashing things to get the grown-ups’ attention.

  17. 23

    Roger Rabbit spews:

@3 “Obama’s 3.7 million newly created jobs will cost approximately $223,000 per job.”

So what? That’s competitive with the thousands of $150,000-a-year mercenary jobs that Bush created in Iraq with taxpayer money. And Obama’s WPA program won’t kill innocent people.

David Ehrenstein wrote in the LA Times: “But it’s clear that Obama also is running for an equally important unelected office, in the province of the popular imagination — the “Magic Negro.””

I crack up every day when I see your ignorant rants. It’s a wonder why Goldy allows you to post here as your insipid commentary is absolutely as worthwhile as stillbentoverwithvibratingblackdildoupbutt.

    steve spews:

@40 To be more clear, a white man passed it out to other whites. It doesn’t matter the color of the man who wrote the song, my issue is with that way a white man capitalizes on it. I grew up in the projects with black kids who called constantly each other niggers. That does not make it OK for me to call a black man a nigger. If I follow Puddy’s reasoning, I guess it would be alright for me to do so. Or would it?

Puddy often wonders why libs don’t criticise lib leadership. He has a point. Likewise, I often wonder why Puddy won’t criticise right-wing leadership, especially on matters of race baiting. I believe I, too, have a point.

  33. 42

    Stupes' own Stupidity spews:

Puddy often wonders why libs don’t criticise lib leadership.

We do all the time. Barack let us down on FISA and other matters. I’d like to believe he goes the centrist path because we progressives don’t really have his back. We’re not strong enough. Our movement is still somewhat nascent. So I believe most of our efforts should be at the grassroots building the movement so it’s truly a force to be reckoned with at the national level.

But then why should we go out of our way to tear down leadership? The right wing is already doing enough for them and us put together. I’d rather say fuck you to the right wing and quietly go about changing leadership for the better.

  34. 43

Puddybud, Hey it's the New Year... spews:

Rerun@42 Progressives – code word for Liberal Fascists.

Yes I know who supplied the CD. So what? You guys provided the Magic Negro comment and no one, no one has taken David Ehrenstein to the woodshed. Why is that name changing fool@42?

  35. 44

Puddybud, Hey it's the New Year... spews:

Steve, no you are not following Puddy’s reasoning.

Instead of first going after the creator of “Barack the Magic Negro”, you go after the one who uses it as a parody.

When the vile progressive left tried to tie this on Limbaugh he went to libtard MSM and asked why does Ehrenstein get a pass? The libatrd MSM asked who is he? Rush then produced the comment. Most libtards shut up. It was the Soros supported web sites which re-run@42 sucks dry daily which have kept up the attack.

So Steve, if the vile progressive movement publicly takes Ehrenstein to the cleaners first then Puddy will have something to say about the CD. You HA progressive libtards love to cry fowl but turn away from the shit in your own back yard.

    http://www.republicanoffenders.com/

I don’t see much wrong with the Ehrenstein piece. You call him “vile”. He was being skeptical of Obama and his being embraced by white society just like you and others like Shelby Steele. HOW IT WAS USED IS ANOTHER MATTER. That’s my issue.

FACE IT MORON. The Ehrenstein piece was used by right wing race baiters to make fun of black leaders.

You give a pass to Limbaugh and Saltsman making white people laugh at Hispanics and Black people. To help them laugh away their “fears” and hold up their racisim. You are one sad schmuck.

-Joe Biden brought us “I mean, you got the first mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.” – What Joe, the rest of us aren’t?
Obama Campaign said: “McCain can’t email” McCain actually said: “I don’t email” One verb connotes inability; the other verb connotes inaction. Yet it was never retracted.

Did he then write a stupid song, pointing the fingers, making fun of Sharpton and Obama and had it broadcast on the Limbaugh show? How funny! Look how the black folk do! Let’s all us white folk laugh at them like they was Amos and Andy! They getting too uppity!

Joe Biden puts his foot in his mouth. Yeah that’s real news.

And the McSame campaign didn’t say any nasty shit? That’s what the silly season’s all about moron.
