Officers on the police scanner say that a would-be vigilante flagged down a cop near Cowen Park. The man was carrying a handgun and wearing body armor. He apparently wanted help flush out the suspect from the park.

There’s a part of me that wishes the police had put his armor to the test.

BOISE – Former seven-term Idaho Congressman George Hansen has lost an appeal to the Idaho Supreme Court to get out of repaying hundreds of thousands of dollars to an Idaho couple he swindled in a investment scheme.

Hansen was first ordered to repay Ann and the late James Meyers $300,000 back in 1993, when Hansen was serving a federal prison sentence for securities fraud, according to the court decision. He maintained he didn’t remember being served, and also questioned whether he received proper notice of subsequent default judgments against him in the case.

Typical anti-reality Republican nut. Thinks there’s this magical fantasy land where they voted for Saint Reagan and there were NO taxes, and government didn’t exist…but then (sniff) Democrats got in power and took everyone’s money!

You live in a cute nutty fantasy, like all wingnuts. I don’t know what drugs you’re on, but I remember paying (within a percentage point or two) the same income tax under Reagan, Carter, Bush H.W., Clinton and Bush W, and now (waiting for 2009 tax table) likely Obama.

You’re crazy. Republicans take JUST as much as Democrats wingnut. Just what ‘government’ are Republicans going to get rid of? You want to INCREASE military spending (find me ANY Republican candidate that proposes to slash the military budget). So that leaves only Medicare and social security, which Republicans claim to want to ‘protect’. So what are you going to slash to keep the evil gov’ment from “taking” your money? LOL

By the way, they’re not “taking” it from you, you’re being charged for services (whether you want them or not). That nuclear aircraft carrier you want protect you? You have to pay taxes for that. The roads, bridges, street lights, police, fire, schools, FBI, CIA, NSA, FDA, NASA…all popular with one group or another. So you pay for it. You paid for it under Reagan and you paid for it under Clinton. Maybe you don’t want to fund NASA, and I didn’t want to fund the Iraq war…but we elect our leaders and if you don’t like it, vote for someone else. We’re taxed roughly the same no MATTER who gets in office, Republican or Democrat. Stop the crazy.

They keep the ungulate populations in check. And they are amazingly cool to listen too and you’re one lucky some’ bitch if you get to see them in the wild. I’ve never seen them in the wild.

I also have issues with people who think hunting means driving around in your pickup truck until you see a deer or elk and then getting out and blasting away at it. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve heard alleged hunters empty their magazines at whatever they were shooting at.

Shooting a wolf (or anything else) from a plane isn’t hunting.

    1. If you think that a gun will protect you from someone shooting at you, can you say “Fort Hood”? How about “Lakewood”? Four armed, heavily trained police officers got executed by a single gunman in seconds by a machine gun.

Most of today’s high end handguns hold 15 or more rounds and have extremely low recoil. A person trained for 30 minutes could empty 15 rounds in less than 5 seconds. Such a weapon, by definition of Websters, is an engine. Therefore, a machine gun.

New Buying Power, Despite the Economy

    By RICHARD C. PADDOCK

Paying jobs have been scarce these days for Jeff Horwitz, a building contractor from Campbell, but last weekend he went on a Christmas shopping spree.

He bought cases of wine, a concrete bench, a wall-mounted fountain, gift certificates and various knickknacks at a gift fair in Santa Clara. “This is nothing,” he said as he walked out the door, arms filled with a vase, a mirror and a ceramic knickknack. “My truck is already full.”

The bill? Nothing, at least not in the usual sense. His haul was the fruit of a barter economy in which he amasses “trade dollars” by swapping services with other members of the International Monetary Systems barter network. He spent 2,500 of them at the fair

When Clemmons “violated” parole and was thrown back in jail, prosecutors didn’t file charges in a timely matter and the charges were dropped and he was let go.

You see there is a big difference between Willie Horton being loosed by Dukakis and how Huckabee released Clemmons. Yet you HA Libtardos don’t want to acknowledge it. The public record is there for all to see, how Clemmons sentence reduction was judge and parole board approved before it went to Huckabee. Sure in hindsight Clemmons should have stayed in jail. Now they’re concentrating on getting his friends and family that helped him evade capture. Hopefully those folks will get to be “guests” of the state for quite a while.

As far as Huckabee and the Pierce County judges go, maybe it’s OK to give lengthy sentences to young offenders and maybe it’s OK to not grant bail for a felon with this guy’s record.

  39. 53

    czechsaaz spews:

    @51

    Oh Puddy…

Going to Willie Horton. Look up some facts. The Massachusettes furlough program was put in place BEFORE Dukakis was in office. (started 1972.)

Key difference between Dukakis and Huckabee. Dukakis never had any input over the decision to grant Horton a furlough, he just happened to be unfortunate enough to be in office when it was granted. Clemmons was free AS A DIRECT RESULT of the carefully considerated decision of Mike Huckabee.

    Suck on that FACT, asshole!

  40. 54

    Don Joe spews:

A few more Willie Horton facts:

    1) The original law did not grant furlough rights to criminals sentenced to life without parole.

    2) The Mass Supreme Court ruled that the exclusion of criminals sentenced to life without parole was unconstitutional.

    3) The Mass State Legislature passed a law that put the life sentence restriction back in place.

    4) Then Gov. Dukakis vetoed the bill to put the life sentence restriction back in place.

    5) The primary issue behind Dukakis’ veto was the constitutionality of the legislature’s attempt to put the restriction back into the law.

    6) All of this happened 10 years before Willie Horton was released on the furlough program.

    7) In those intervening 10 years, the Mass State Legislature did nothing to craft a law that would have passed constitutional muster yet restricted the furlough program to criminals not sentenced to life without parole.

Now, the Puddy Parade of Partial Punditry will be quick to point out some of the above facts, but will not ever admit that all of them are true. Puddy only remembers those facts that are convenient for Puddy to remember.

You are focused on Willie Horton while Puddy was telling the liberal retards there are differences between Horton and Clemmons. Clemmons was a juvie. That’s all Puddy was saying why Huckabee looked at his case.

Butt, as always, Don Joe wants to make this a discussion about his intellect and his causes. Puddy ain’t going the Don Joe. Don’s Dullest Diatribes work on liberal returds (Spelled correctly) but are skipped by Puddy. Puddy staying on the topic of why liberal returds like you try to take the train onto other tracks so you can make insipid points.

The rest of Don Joe’s rant is ignored. No relevance and partially incorrect.

@73 “Puddy was telling the liberal retards there are differences between Horton and Clemmons.”

Yeah. Clemmons murdered 4 times as many people as Horton did.

    “Clemmons was a juvie.”

He was convicted on adult charges in adult court and sent to adult prison, jackass.

“That’s all Puddy was saying why Huckabee looked at his case.”

Huck must not have looked very hard, because at that point, Clemmons had 5 felony convictions; had threatened a judge; had assaulted a court bailiff; and repeatedly had been arrested on weapons charges. Any idiot who spent 5 minutes looking at his file could have seen this guy was both crazy and dangerous.

FACTS ABOUT BLACKS in Seattle spews:

    http://tinyurl.com/no5knk

From the article “List of 2008 homicides in Seattle” from the Seattle PI

selected from the list of the 28 Seattle homicides in 2008….

Allen Joplin, Jan. 4 — black killed by black

De’Che Morrison, Jan. 10 — black killed by black

Maurice “Moe” Allen Jr., Jan. 26 — black killed by black

Degene Barecha, Jan. 30 — black killed by black

Perry Henderson, Feb. 6 — black killed by black

Stephan Dwaine Stewart, April 2 — black killed by black

Eldora Earlycutt, July 4 — black killed by black

James Paroline, July 10 — white killed by black

Troy Peters, July 22 — black killed by black

Pierre Lapoint, Aug. 5 — black killed by black

Jane Kariuki, Oct. 16 — woman of unknown race killed by black man named Christel D. Murphy

Quincy S. Coleman, Oct. 31 — black killed by black

Edward McMichael, the “Tuba Man”, Nov. 3 — white killed by multiple blacks

Nathaniel Lee Thomas, Nov. 23 — black killed by black

So by my count blacks (8% of Seattle) were the killers in at least half (that’s at least 50%) of the murders in the Seattle area in 2008. At least five of the other murderers were latinos.

The numbers are actually worse for 2009 and approach the 85% mark.

    czechsaaz spews:

    @79

I call bullshit. ‘Cause you assume things that you can’t prove. All I had to do was look at your first case. Allen Joplin, black victim. Shooter unidentified and witnesses haven’t come forward and NONE of your links indicate his race. But it’s a gang shooting so he MUST be black right.

One of your links on Joplin tells the story of De’Che Morrison. He was found dead on the street the morning AFTER he was killed. ZERO witness, ZERO suspects. But you KNOW the shooter was black right. I mean it happened in the CD. Only blacks go to the CD, right? I think it’s actually in the Seattle charter.

FACTS ABOUT BLACK CRIME IN SEATTLE spews:

Hey czechsaaz, you know what? You are right.

There is a huge 6% (six percent) chance that the killers of those blacks were not black. (At least 94% of all blacks murdered in the USA are murdered by other blacks)

I should give them the benefit of the doubt. They were probably killed by Swedes or Indian software engineers.

That 6% chance of being a non-black makes a huge difference!!!!!

    czechsaaz spews:

Puddy, again, why you’re laughed at. You didn’t defend Huckabee. Let’s go to the tape…

@ 42 (in THIS THREAD even)

“Because Mike Huckabee was trying to give a person who created his crimes as a juvie a second chance.”

    @51

“You see there is a big difference between Willie Horton being loosed by Dukakis and how Huckabee released Clemmons. Yet you HA Libtardos don’t want to acknowledge it. The public record is there for all to see, how Clemmons sentence reduction was judge and parole board approved before it went to Huckabee.”

Now you can, in your addled brain, think that these statements mean you were not defending Huckabee. Go for it. Try. What did you mean by these statements if not trying to justify Huckabee’s actions? Your own words Puddy.

    @81 – Puddy is a LIAR, Q.E.D.

FACTS ABOUT BLACKS in Seattle spews:

czechsaaz – “Your statistical analysis continues to prove you don’t understand probability. Your analysis is scientifically unsound AKA bullshit.”

Please explain WHY my analysis is “scientifically unsound”. 94% of all blacks murdered in the USA are murdered by other blacks. Therefore, there is statistically only a 6% chance that the killers of those blacks you mentioned weren’t black. Also, there is just common-sense about reality (which is something that people who are not naive PC dumbasses possess). The neighborhoods they lived in were majority black and the crowds they hung with were ALL black.

Therefore, I feel entirely confident in saying that blacks were the murders in those cases.

Care to make a bet? I will seriously bet you $100 that the murderers will turn out to be black if these crimes are solved. This is a real offer. You could make $200!!!! You have a whole 6% chance!!!

Are you seriously trying to claim that blacks did not commit all those murders? If so, then you are a naive politically correct dumbass who denies the facts about reality.

  72. 90

FACTS ABOUT BLACKS in Seattle spews:

Hey! I’ll even throw you a bone with those two dead blacks. Let’s pretend they weren’t actually killed by blacks! So subtract two off the list!

That still means that blacks, who make up only 8% of Seattle, committed almost half the murders there in 2008.

I am willing to bet serious money that the black-committed murder rate in 2009 in Seattle is over 80%.

Care to take me up on these bets????

My point is that “czechsaaz” is DEAD WRONG for “calling bullshit” on the indisputable truth.

The subtext is that it is TOTAL BULLSHIT for blacks to complain about “racial profiling”.

Racial profiling MAKES PERFECT SENSE for a group that makes up only 8% of Seattle but commits at least half (or more) of the murders there every single year. DUH!!!!!!!

If I wanted to check your whole list of black on black crimes, since the first two were fake “evidence,” following your rules of analysis, logic I can assume that 80% your cases are inconclusive. 100% of the first 20% were fake, so I can jump to a made-up conclusion.

Did you really use the words “indisputable proof?” So….Uh…You have proof that your first two murders were committed by blacks? (No, high degree of likelihood is NOT proof. That damn probability again.
