The President just said, on a whim,
I have got to say hi to ol’ Kim
Not much would happen
Between these crap men
But once more we legitimized him.

Happy probably the best game of the Women’s World Cup day. USA and France are the 2 best teams. Let’s hope there are some questionable VAR calls. Who doesn’t love waiting 5 minutes only to be disappointed with some ticky tac technicality. Seriously though, super excited.

No more NRA tv. What a sad. Now who will launder Russian money? Now who will mock victims of school shootings? Who will spread false narratives about the 2nd Amendment? There’s still a lot of wingnut welfare out there, but now there’s a bit less.

I am glad to see Jay Inslee’s fossil fuel plan. It is ambitious. It is necessary to be bold on this existential problem. I hope all of the candidates will follow suit.

As Seattle gets denser, and more adults are wearing backpacks, we’re going to have to figure out some ethics. Like, public transportation. If it’s crowded, take it off and put it on the ground. There are signs for that. But even walking through busy streets, or standing, be aware of it. Don’t hit people in the face or make them dodge you.

Grandma, Grandma! What did you do when we started to find out that people were dying in US custody?
Well, sweetheart, I was very concerned. It was a difficult time. So I thought that I would spend my time and talent on the most important thing. I decided that if I didn’t nitpick the people opposing them, who would. So I went online, and I pretended that concentration camps was a phrase only used by Nazis. I, as you can see, was the real hero.

Dave Meinert is buying Mecca (second point). Just thought he could it ride out. Oh what’s a little rape and harassment? I mean, he only owns one restaurant, hasn’t he suffered enough? If anything, he’s the real victim of his repeated predatory behavior over many years. And I thought you were in favor of restorative justice, isn’t that where men don’t get punished in any way, and get to own another restaurant?

With Sarah Huckabee Sanders leaving the White House, who will not give press briefings? Who will they find to spread gossip and administration spin? Who will be described as a “senior administration official” in the press when quoting them adds nothing to their story?

The store in front of the bus stop near Drinking Liberally always has delivery cars parked in it. At least at the time I am leaving. Yesterday. Yesterday! Yesterday, the delivery car pulled into the stop while the bus was at the red light. Don’t do that. I realize parking can be at a premium in Capitol Hill, but not so much at 10:30. In conclusion gaaah.

Remember when Howard Schultz was running for President? And we all heard stories about how terrible he was? Anyway, what happened to him? Is he still off somewhere being terrible? Nobody knows.

I have seen many great shows at The Showbox. It will be sad if we see it go. Still, I saw a lot of great shows at other venues that aren’t there anymore. And live music continues. Hopefully new venues will take its place.

Important update! Last week I asked about where to watch the Women’s World Cup. Thanks to those who had thoughts. Here’s a better place to look. Hopefully this draws a conclusion to me posting about it.

So the President is just going around calling people nasty? Maybe he’s comparing them to Janet Jackson. That’s the ticket.

The last time I took a bus to Olympia, the entire way between Tacoma and Olympia, I was sat next to a very talkative man. Y’all! He had so much to say about his neighbor’s herpes. On and on and on.
Anyway, people complain about the Seattle freeze, and there was recently some discussion about it on Twitter. But I love it. It is a lovely combination of Nordic stoicism and big city life. Small talk is great but not with randos. I love not talking to you. I know that it isn’t for everyone, but I appreciate it so hard.

Is I wrong to just use this to thread to figure out where to watch the Women’s World Cup? I don’t own a TV, so when I want to watch sports, I have to go out (or stream). Men’s international soccer, especially the World Cup, usually has bars open whenever. But on the women’s side, there are fewer options. So do you know of anywhere that will be hosting games, even when time zones make it tough?
