The networks have called North Carolina for Barack Obama, and the exit polls suggest that Hillary Clinton will likely win Indiana by a comfortable margin. No surprises there. Once all the ballots are counted, it appears Obama will likely pick up a few more delegates today than Clinton. Again, no surprise.
This settles nothing, so it’s time for the super delegates to step up and do their job and settle this for us.

So Obama has now won. The question is how to get there from here and is Hillary enough like her own Rovian characture to to be a spoiler?

One thing I am growing tired of is the term “Elitist” being thrown at political opponents in this country, especially over the hot potato issue of suspending the gas tax for the summer. Two organizations that I guess are elitist now because they oppose the idea even though it would presumably benefit them, the American Trucking Association and the Owner Operators Independent Drivers Association. I hardly believe that a bunch of independent truckers, who are getting hurt the hardest, are elitist. Activists yes, elitists, no. The Independents have been the ones organizing protests against these high gas prices, from long convoys to a March on Washington, to a supposed nationwide stand-down yesterday(did not see much of that one in the news).
