A vote for Reichert is a vote for Boehner

This morning on ABC’s This Week, George Stephanopoulos asked House Majority Leader John Boehner if he he thought Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld “has to go.” Boehner’s answer?

I think Donald Rumsfeld is the best thing that’s happened to the Pentagon in 25 years.

Let’s be absolutely clear what November’s election is all about, at least when it comes to the war in Iraq. The Republican leadership continues to unflinchingly support President Bush’s failed policies in Iraq… and both Dave Reichert and Cathy McMorris continue to support the Republican leadership. Should Reichert and McMorris win reelection, they will vote to retain Boehner as Majority Leader — or perhaps even promote him to Speaker of the House. Should Darcy Burner and Peter Goldmark win in November, they will vote for a new House leadership, one that will finally hold the Bush administration accountable for its failures. This is a choice between “stay the course” and a “new direction.”

So if you think Rumsfeld is “the best thing that’s happened to the Pentagon in 25 years,” vote Republican.

Elsewhere in the interview, Boehner claimed that “the President is listening to the commanders on the ground.” Hmm…

Nice website Harry ran by the Commie News Network, and it does have some great information. Divorce is really high here in the land of OZ. You don’t spend very munch on vacation. Way over educated for what you do for a living. The median age is a little bit higher than the national average. Not bad for becoming an old rich Old Folks Home. The local population is way below the national average for commuting around town. Must be the great roads not the mass transit system? The median commute time is 22.1 minutes to cross town a little high must be the large pot holes in the streets. Property crime incidents are double the national average. The Personal crime risk is three times the National average. Property crime risk is over three times the national average. Personal crime risk is also three times the national average. This is a killer test scores reading minus 7.8% to plus 13.3% no wonder the two Seattle fish wrappers has declining sales. OHHHH this is interesting test scores in math is minus 11.9% and the national average is plus 16.9% yep need more teacher union’s involvement. This shows confidence in the school’s % students attending public/private 74%/ 26% the national average is 88.4/11.59. Lucy, now you’re elitist is putting their prize children into private schools. Median home price is $363,000 the national average is $259,566 which means the middle class has to earn more money to keep their head above water. Under the Socialist Democrat leadership the job growth is a negative .74% compare to national average of positive 10.97%. Auto insurance is only $2,349 to $2,207 on the national average, must be all the crashes during rush hour which bring up the cost. State income rate zero the national average is 2.74% and hidden taxes are not declared but could be around 10% including sin taxes. Look at this family purchasing power is $48,168 compare to the national average of $68,109, WOW what a surprise. Now Harry your point median family income $70,133 the national average is $76,893. WOW Harry you should go to New Orleans and look for a deal?

Didn’t you tell your children never to take something unless it was paid for first?

In 1963 I bought and paid for a home and five acres with the right to let my children build their own homes on the land. The regulators now say one house is enough and 65 percent of the land can’t be touched. Payment for my loss was never considered.

Voting yes on I-933 will not let me have more than one house, but it will return the stolen 65 percent — unless the regulators wish to pay for it as I did. If you vote no on I-933 and allow this theft to stand, who will protect your property in the future from these regulators? Will they stop at 65 percent or 90 percent or will they take it all?

Review your property tax statement if you think regulations are free. Beware of political double-talk. Don’t believe the politicians that say eliminating unjust regulations will cost billions but never define the how of it. Big government and unchecked regulations go together.

    Herald Writer

COUPEVILLE – An Oak Harbor woman who allegedly signed and mailed in her daughter’s absentee ballot has been charged with unlawful voting, a felony charge that is on the books but is seldom used.
The charge was filed Wednesday in Island County Superior Court, Prosecuting Attorney Gregory Banks said Friday.
Charging papers allege that Elizabeth Reddy, 45, illegally signed her daughter’s ballot despite warnings on a voter affidavit and other materials that are sent to absentee voters, Banks said.
“It’s unusual to see a case (like this) come to prosecution,” said Nick Handy, director of elections for the secretary of state’s office in Olympia. “Given the high-profile nature of the election process … we think this sends a strong message to voters that these kinds of accusations will be taken seriously.”
The ballot was cast in the Oak Harbor School District bond election May 16. The daughter, who lives in Bellingham, told Island County Sheriff Mike Hawley that she told her mother to vote on her behalf, according to charging papers.

Political crossfire at four words a shot … as I see it

With the days ticking down to the fateful midterm elections, both parties have simplified and sharpened their basic messages to the voters — in each case, crystallizing their appeals in just four words. The Democrats loudly declare, “Iraq is a mess.” The Republicans say, “We kept you safe.” Both messages resonate with the public because they’re both true. So, which party will win the argument? That depends on the four-word response to the four-word appeal.

To the GOP claim that “We kept you safe,” the Dems say, “We’ll keep you safer.” But they can’t seem to agree on a plan for how to do so. To the Democratic declaration that “Iraq is a mess,” the Republicans answer, “They’d make it worse.” Given Democratic disagreement and confusion about what to do — with one wing of the party demanding the quick, unconditional withdrawal the terrorists want — that final four-word warning, “They’d make it worse,” deserves to carry the day.

Do believe you are right about that English thing we do love burning folks at the stake for entertainment. The renewed French confidence outlasted her own brief career. She refused to leave the field when she was wounded during an attempt to recapture Paris that autumn. Hampered by court intrigues, she led only minor companies from then onward and fell prisoner at a skirmish near Compiègne the following spring. A politically motivated trial convicted her of heresy. The English regent John of Lancaster, 1st Duke of Bedford had her burnt at the stake in Rouen. She had been the heroine of her country at the age of seventeen and died at just nineteen. Some twenty-four years later Pope Callixtus III reopened the case and a new finding overturned the original conviction. Yes God loves a sinner like you also Big Glen. Mr. Yer Killin Me what a silly name could be funny but why makes fun of you at your expense. The Terrorist have been around for many years and certain tactics and strategies work and some don’t. Now playing into their hand like a silly idiot allows them to get the upper hand and cost you dearly. Right now arguing about how to do that publicly only emboldens them to keep fighting and extends the conflict. You come from a group of folks who like to play the blame game when things don’t go your way. The terrorist don’t play those types of games, because those who argue end up dead. That makes you lucky we don’t embrace that type of conflict resolution are you feeling better now? From where the terrorist come from a quite wit and a smart mouth will make you a prime target. In other words you will lose your funny head in a nano second for challenge them on who is right or wrong. So keep running off at the mouth it could make it easier to ID these fine friends of yours when they expose themselves to chop chop your head.

Speaking of FEAR, these Chaps know how to deal with their fears and still get the job done. Now all you folks have to do is VOTE and use your heads and not your emotions. When Election Day come make sure those who paid the highest price gets their vote counted. This State the public believes their vote will not be counted by 70% and that is really sad. The only ones who made that happen is the parties that are in power today and did nothing to fix the problem. Now this is not to refection on the whole State but a few counties. Yes Ron Sims you can take a bow for that and some of your friends can join in with you.

I just shudder to think how much our intelligence agencies hate America, BEcause they “emboldened” (aside: what a stupid word!)by stating their consensus view that we have created MORE jihadists and sparked greater fervor in the with our ill-conceived and horrificaly run misadventure in Iraq. At least, according to your view. In fact, in your view, exercising the freedoms on which our society was founded by discussing the wisdom of nationlal policy in public is treason. Fuck off, coward. You don’t deserve to live in a free country.

“Productivity is a simple measure based on total output, divided by the number of workers. Since we have a negative return on capital, the more factories we close to raise capacity utilization, and the more factories we move to China, the fewer workers we will need. Therefore, by definition, productivity goes up. So when our Fed Chairman says “everything is all right because productivity is rising and this is good for the economy and good for the “market”, you should stop and think about who Chairman Greenspan is really talking about. As in every downturn in the past 25 years, when manufacturing jobs go, they don’t come back. We are continuing to move to a modern service economy that is “post industrial”.
The real bubble that remains is the Debt Bubble. What ails corporate America is the need to pay down debt. Moreover, there is no need to invest in new equipment until such time as there has been enough corporate restructuring to get capacity utilization back up to 85%. If new investment is going to be undertaken it is then likely to be undertaken where the labor is hard working and cheap, like China. Even service industries are letting workers go. Productivity is rising, but lay-offs are at recession levels. There are no new jobs. Wages in some industries are dropping, benefits are being slashed, and pensions are not going to be there. We have rising productivity, falling incomes, a negative return on cash, and the destruction of financial capital that will continue until enough factories are taken off line and permanently closed. Both physical and financial capital are in surplus and need to be “destroyed” to bring back a positive return to new investment.”

Here’s another reason why Boehner has to go:

“WASHINGTON (Oct. 29) – House Majority Leader John Boehner says he might have taken matters into his own hands if he or any GOP leader had known about ex-Rep. Mark Foley’s sexually explicit instant messages to former pages.

“‘Foley’s conduct was reprehensible, abhorrent. And if any one of us would have known about this, we would have dragged him out of there by his tie,’ said Boehner, the current No. 2 leader in the House.

“Boehner, R-Ohio, maintains he told Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill., last spring about Foley’s too-friendly e-mails to pages ….”

So, um, why didn’t he drag Foley out by his tie then? His self-serving hyperbole sounds like bullshit to me … or spin … or damage control …

Good morning sweet little Lucy did you sleep well last night and no goblins didn’t sneak up on you in the middle of the night. Stereo types are what you and some of your friends live by and repeat daily. That is really a waste of a great mind and shuts down communications. For one thing becoming rich can be quite easy if you listen to someone who has done it more than once. The fun part is what you do with your money after you have earned it and want to share the joys of being rich. Take Bill Gates for example and see what he does with his large sum of wealth. Now ELITIST has no boundaries and is everywhere but they congregate in large metropolitan areas most of the times. To answer your question most party members who have the largest wealth are usually Democrat and not Socialist Democrats or Republicans. They only real wealthy Elitist Politician could be John Kerry and he did not earn the wealth, but married into the resources.

Thumper you really have to agree with this Statement. What Say You???????????????????

    Johnson best for court

Susan Owens is a typical “activist judge” who thinks that it is acceptable to legislate from the bench and determine matters of policy that are reserved to the Legislature. She justifies this brand of judicial activism because she arrogantly believes that she knows better since “the Legislature is really behind the times socially.” (quote from an interview with the Yakima Herald-Republic.) Her view that she knows better than those pesky legislators is offensive to all but the most extreme partisan.

Judges are supposed to interpret the law and to only strike down a law if it violates the state or federal Constitution, not because it offends the judge’s personal beliefs. Judges are charged with deciding legal and constitutional issues and they must leave policy issues where they belong, to our elected legislators. Susan Owens doesn’t seem to understand that separation of powers is vital to the American system of government. Such a clear lack of respect for our established system of government demonstrates that Susan Owens does not belong on the bench.

The King County Bar Association Judicial Ratings recognize the superiority of her opponent, rating Stephen Johnson as “well qualified,” while rating Owens as merely “qualified.”

If you want a Supreme Court justice who knows, understands and respects the difference between the bench and the legislature, then vote Stephen Johnson for the state Supreme Court.

How could anyone with any moral courage at all vote against such an important bill? We know that the national platform of the Democratic Party is pro-abortion but this brings the party to an all-time low in my opinion. If it is required to get parental authorization to go on a field trip at school it should be unthinkable that minors be allowed to undergo a potentially dangerous medical procedure without their parents’ knowledge or consent. Guess how our senators voted?

Many parents abuse their children. If this law was enacted, many taliban type christo fascist fake christians animals would abuse their child for getting an abortion they would not approve of. These fake christian fascists belong in nut houses.

One thing is for sure. When it comes to abusing children, your Republican Party can be counted on for the maximum amount of abuse, and the smallest amount of protection. Just ask Dennis (Sargent Schultz) Hastert.

As far as the pro-abortion party goes. If it was up to Democrats, and the Republicans were locked up in nuthouses where they belong we would have free birth control. RU486 on demand, and REAL SEX EDUCATION!!! The numbers of abortions would drop like a rock. Oh but that would work too well. The Republican Retards would never support anything that reduces abortions. If abortions were practically non-existant their taliban type single digit IQ christo fascist hypocrite base would have nothing to do but concentrate on helping the poor, and voting for Democrats!

    Reality.
