What’s Wrong With This Picture?
Moammar Ghaddafi, one of the world’s more odious dictators, has unleashed his military on unarmed civilian protesters like the fucking coward he is:
“‘In the whole western area, airplanes are used to bombard people from a low altitude,’ al-Hasy said. ‘They don’t use bombs but machine guns so they don’t leave any trace. I heard of 2,000 killed in Tripoli and 3,000 injured. Bodies and injured are hidden in stores, many of which are incinerated.’
“An accurate accounting of the number of deaths and injured is nearly impossible because of a blackout on communications. Press estimates vary greatly, from a few thousand to tens of thousands. The death toll might have been far worse if members of the Libyan military had not disobeyed orders. Jets, helicopters and warships have landed in Malta after soldiers refused to massacre fellow Libyans.
“‘The whole army is against Gadhafi now,’ al-Hasy said, speaking from the Egyptian border. ‘All he has left is his own tribe and some mercenaries from Chad, Mali and Niger who are using advanced weapons provided by the U.K. and France.'”
http://www.aolnews.com/2011/02.....trocities/
Roger Rabbit Commentary: Now why the fuck do the so-called western “democracies” sell weapons to guys like Ghaddafi? If that’s because of foreign policy then those countries need a new foreign policy. If it’s merely because of profit motive — capitalism — then all I can say is, if capitalism thinks it’s okay to arm guys like Ghaddafi in the name of profit, then capitalism sucks and needs to be replaced with something else.
Roger Rabbit spews:
I don’t think Ghaddafi should be given sanctuary in a neutral country. I think the Libyan mobs should fucking kill him.
Roger Rabbit spews:
Any dictator who uses his military forces to kill his own citizens should end up dead. Every single one of the world’s dictators should get this message: If you send troops into the streets and order them to fire on unarmed protesters you’re gonna be dead.
And I also think that any U.S. governor who orders National Guard troops to fire on unarmed protesters against anti-labor legislation should be handed over the The Hague to stand trial on charges of crimes against humanity.

The US Air Force is already set up for that here. If you are a “liberal” or an atheist, you are not allowed promotions or even access to certain specialties. The USAF Academy is completely controlled by Dominionist Evangelical Christians who espouse a very hard right wing agenda. If you announce your atheism so a higher ranking cadet, you are subjected to harassment, stripped of rank and classes until you leave voluntarily or they find a reason to drum you out of the Corps.
There was an Air Force “Prayer Breakfast” that was onsensibly voluntary for cadets to attend, but those cadets were told they would be gigged and sanctioned by superior cadets if they did not attend. The primary speaker was a man named Clebe McClary, a former FLt in the USMC, wounded in Vietnam and Silver Star vet.

Do Maddow or the Democrats know what a Ponzi scheme is:
A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment operation that pays returns to separate investors, not from any actual profit earned by the organization, but from their own money or money paid by subsequent investors. The Ponzi scheme usually entices new investors by offering returns other investments cannot guarantee, in the form of short-term returns that are either abnormally high or unusually consistent. The perpetuation of the returns that a Ponzi scheme advertises and pays requires an ever-increasing flow of money from investors to keep the scheme going.
The system is destined to collapse because the earnings, if any, are less than the payments to investors. Usually, the scheme is interrupted by legal authorities before it collapses because a Ponzi scheme is suspected or because the promoter is selling unregistered securities. As more investors become involved, the likelihood of the scheme coming to the attention of authorities increases. While the system eventually will collapse under its own weight, the example of Bernard Madoff’s investment scandal demonstrates the ability of a Ponzi scheme to delude both individual and institutional investors as well as securities authorities for long periods: Madoff’s variant of the Ponzi scheme stands as the largest financial investor fraud committed by a single person in history. Prosecutors estimate losses at Madoff’s hand totaling roughly $21 billion, as estimated by the money invested by his victims. If the promised returns are added, the losses amount to $64.8 billion, but a New York court dismissed this estimation method during the Madoff trial.
The scheme is named after Charles Ponzi[1] who became notorious for using the technique in early 1920. Ponzi did not invent the scheme (for example Charles Dickens’ 1857 novel Little Dorrit described such a scheme decades before Ponzi was born), but his operation took in so much money that it was the first to become known throughout the United States. Ponzi’s original scheme was based on the arbitrage of international reply coupons for postage stamps, however he soon diverted investors’ money to support payments to earlier investors and himself.
Knowingly entering a Ponzi scheme, even at the last round of the scheme, can be rational economically if there is a reasonable expectation that government or other person or organisation will bail out those
I’d say the Democrats system is destined for collapse under it’s own debt load!

So it is inaccurate to say that since the Government has borrowed and spent all of the Social Security surpluses, and now they say it is broke, that it is now a Ponzi scheme, since it less people are donating and more people are taking out.

How is Social Security going to survive if the Government has pissed away all of its reserves?

Reagan was the first to borrow heavily against SS funds to pay for his tax cuts to the highest income earners. As was GWH Bush. Bonds that were exclusively issued for sale through his Kuwaiti and Saudi banking buddies at Chase and Citibank.

Here’s an idea – why not sell-off some assets? That’s what people who are having financial difficulties do. How about the State of Wisconsin or Washington or even our federal government sell-off some assets to close the budget gap?
What about all that gold sitting in Ft. Know? Why can’t the fed take advantage of the high price of gold and sell the stuff to close the budget gap? After all, the gold isn’t used to back money, so it’s just sitting there in Ft. Knox collecting dust. If we could sell a billion ounces at $1,400 per ounce, we wouldn’t need to raise the debt limit. Both the Dems and Reps wold be happy. Why not do it?
Wisconsin, California, Illinois and all the rest of the states having deficit problems should consider selling-off stuff to pay for the government pensions and health care programs.

Doesn’t it occur to you that the price is high because there are other new customers in China and India that are buying it up? Not just banks, but the electronics industry, the jewelry industry, and the actual market price may be massively overinflated, meaning the price is just a phony bubble anyway.
There is also some question about how much gold there actually is left in Ft Knox. The first Bush administration closed it off in March 1989, and wouldn’t let anyone even go in to take pictures. All “open safe” tours were halted.
And besides, thats what the whole derivative scam is all about, selling off American “assets” to foreign banks to manufacture the appearance of cash flow and liquidity. The banks are sitting pretty right now. They are holding Trillions in electronic cash, and they are hoarding it. They’ve all been bailed out, and the Banking cartels in Texas and New York and Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are just waiting for that proper moment to spill the whole kit n caboodle back on the market.
They’ve been working, deliberately, to collapse the US economy, and those of other countries, so they can buy it out after it all goes to shit. The GOP and their allies in the Democratic party has been their primary instrument in making this happen. It is very deliberate.
They already own you, man.

Here’s an idea – why not sell-off some assets?
Because the budget problems, at both the state and national level, are not one-time shortfalls. You have to look at budget trends.
Here’s a report from a conservative think tank in Wisconsin:
Note that the two biggest items are prisons and the combined effects of an aging population and soaring medical costs. Selling assets solves neither of those problems, which means we’d be right back at the same place when it comes time to work out the budget for the next biennium.
Note, also, that the single, most effective measure taken to address the issue of medical costs over the past 10 years was the PPACA: the law that Republicans want to gut solely for political reasons.
Time to get your head out of your ass, squirt. Republicans haven’t a fucking clue as to how to fix our budget problems both at the state and the national level.

If they can afford to buy psyop type propaganda software, and use it against the citizenry, their budget is way too high. If their aim is to manipulate domestic perceptions, their purpose is counter to that of the safety and security of the United States. And therefore, an enemy.
