Hundreds of supporters gathered today to celebrate and defend health care reform, though I doubt the Seattle Times will bother to report on it, as it’s not like two governors, two U.S. Senators, and two U.S. Representatives were there or anything.
Now if there had been some angry handmade signs or something, now that would’ve been news.
Matt Loschen spews:
Orchestrated? You would think the Times would know the Dems better by now. The only reason I showed up was because I happened to read HA this morning. We need more orchestration, not less.
Roger Rabbit spews:
President Obama couldn’t be there because he was in Afghanistan visiting the troops today. But Roger Rabbit was there, which is almost as good.
MIke Barer spews:
I think I did see a rabbit hopping around there somewhere.
All Facts Support My Positions spews:
Yes we did…
Was there.
Now time to finish the job. Medicare for all!
notaboomer spews:
is that mike mcginn’s rain hat?
any health insurance ceos there to high five their reps?
Pink Anderson and Floyd Council spews:
re — Halfwits with handmade signs: Don’t forget — The handmade signs wielded by the angry teabagging buffoons only made their appearance after those in the media wondered how a bunch of flailing, aging retards managed to get such professional looking signs for themselves.
A lesson their billionaire mentors have not forgotten.
Mr. Cynical spews:
What an ugly bunch of Lefty’s!
Continue to mock & ridicule the Tea Party you fools!
Mr. Cynical spews:
How come the Dummocrats, who control our State, are not addressing this I read in a NY Times article–
DavidD spews:
@7,
Obviously they are only asking teabaggers.
Mr. Cynical spews:
9. DavidD spews:
Wrong dumbass.
You Oba-Mao Zombies live in your teeny-tiny “Progressive” hovel. There is a big world outside KLOWNville.
Rasmussen is the most accurate poll the past 5 years because they poll LIKELY VOTERS.
It’s even slightly LEFT-leaning as they called Brown-Coakley a toss-up…and Brown won by 5 points.
Denial by the leftists.
Stupidity by ridiculing the Tea Partiers…adding more zip to the movement.
Lack of leadership by cheapshot artist Oba-Mao and his henchmen.
Name-calling to pander to the Goldy and nis NW Division of Lunatic Moonbat krowd.
proud leftist spews:
Cynny @ 7
If that poll is accurate, then lawmakers need to ignore polls completely and simply go with what they know is best for the country. That poll would indicate that Americans are the dumbest people on earth, incapable, for the most part, of crawling out of bed in the morning then finding a place to pee. You people in the Tea Party (whatever that is), are just angry racists who don’t have jobs. Let me make a prediction–by November, you will have become utterly irrelevant.
Alki Area spews:
#7 Republicans love to live by polls don’t they. Oh wait, that’s Democrats, er…or what? Can never remember what side of the argument nuts are on any given day.
The Tea Baggers, whatever polls show, are idiots. They’re also a tiny minority. Loud, yes. Stupid, sure. If they’re so damn popular, then they will sweep into power and fix all our problems.
What children like you can’t see and fail the understand is polls on “generic” questions like this are meaningless. It’s like asking “do you want your taxes cut”. You’ll get nearly 100% response of yes. Now when you ask WHAT program do you want cut to get that tax break…problems. Congress does indeed have a HORRIBLE rating with the public, as this Tea Bag poll points out. Problem with your 4th grade understanding of politics is that Congress also has a massive re-election rate of around 90%. How can Congress have a 19% approval rating but 90% get re-elected? I’ve pointed out the reasons why before, but you’re not old enough to understand.
Same with Obama’s health care plan. 60% of the public disapproves of it! But NOT because they all think it’s the start of “death panels”. The polls are complicated. MUCH of that is folks who don’t think Obama’s health care goes far ENOUGH. These issues are complicated and more subtle than you might think. Or maybe I’m wrong and John McCain and the rest of the Republicans (and Democrats) will be swept out of by people who think “death panels” are real, Obama is a secret Muslim here to outlaw Christianity and destroy Christmas. Or not.
P.S. Remember, there ISN’T a “Tea Party” anyway. I know you THINK there was a political convention and all…but the lady who headlined that convention, a Ms Sarah Palin, has since said the Tea Party folks need to, and I quote, “grow up and pick a party”. She’s also campaigning AGAINST the Tea Party actual candidates and for the main stream “in power” Republicans (John McCain). Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure she was happy to cash their Tea Party convention speaker check, but that’s the end of that.

he wanted to see some before their legs are blown off.

I used to try to reason with Cynny, until I realized he is incapable of reasoning. Now, I just bash him. I hope he is not just a 14 year-old child, still trying to find his way, with a fragile ego, and all of that. I think it is possible, given the way he writes. Nonetheless, idiocy, from whatever age spewed, must be bashed.
Michael spews:
The Times has something up now, but it’s buried under two anti-HCR op-eds. The leads look like their op-eds anyway, I didn’t click through and read the fucking things.
Michael spews:
Dear Seattle Times,
If you value op-ed pieces more than news peaces you are no longer a news paper.
Michael spews:
@10
Our teeny little progressive hovel seems to include a majority of of the governors, majorities in both of our state houses, a majority of the people in the senate, a large majority of people in the house and a president that won election by a large majority.
Teeny hovels of people can’t do the above. We’re a large majority.
Michael spews:
Rick Steve’s giving ’em hell in the Seattle PI.

Alki Area spews:
Just curious. When the “polls” showed the Iraq war VERY unpopular, and Bush with around 22% approval…what was the Republican wingnut response? I believe it was some combination of…
1) Polls don’t matter
2) We will be proved right.
3) All media is a liberal/Jewish conspiracy
So when the last Republican President had a Rasmussen ‘approval index’ of -36 I heard NOTHING about this. When Cheney was asked about how his approval ratings were SO low, he said “So?”. And the Republicans cheered his “strength” in doing what he believed despite the polls and “meaningless” public opinion. Ok. Does the same count with Obama? Obviously not! ROTFLMAO.
When Republicans Presidents have a 24% approval rating, polls don’t matter. When a Democrat has a 45% approval rating, it’s PROOF we need to take our country back. PRICELESS!
proud leftist spews:
Michael
Don’t confuse Cynny’s head with the facts. He doesn’t do well with reality. Just pat the little fella on the head and tell him to “go along now. Everything will be better in the morning.”
Ekim spews:
Can you pick up syphilis from sheep? If you can that would explain cynny. Untreated syph can induce psychosis in its victims.
lauramae spews:
My favorite stupid tea bagger sign was one that said “youth in asia will kill your grandmother.”
Killer Campaigning spews:
lol @ Roger Rabbit: was there really a rabbit hopping around at this event?
Agreed, you won’t see this in the Seattle Times.
N in Seattle spews:
lauramae @22 drew a smile:
It’s not the Green Tea Party, is it?
Max spews:
Err, have Puddy and Klynical morphed into the same old drunck racist dude? Writing with the DT’s leads to some pretty twisted stuff.
