Roger Rabbit rarely attends these meetings, and doesn’t drink when he does, but thinks all of HA’s wingnut trolls are punch-drunk on stupidity.

Good to see Gary Locke is not a tax-cheater…like many of Obama’s failed appointees….and like Rangel, those 2 DEMOCRAT Congressmen pretending they live in Maryland etc. etc.

    I like Gary Locke.
If he was still Governor, we would not have a $9 BILLION deficit and Boeing wouldn’t be on their way out.

The root cause of America’s economic troubles is that capital gets too much of the nation’s output and labor not enough.

    Hey Rog–
You did such a fine job of improving things while you muddled thru your 30 year career as a DSHS Attorney–is this part of your legacy?
By defending an out-of-control agency as “your job”, you help create an environment where kids suffer and taxpayers get screwed. I’ll bet the DSHS employees responsible for this $5 MILLION loss to taxpayers still work for State Government somewhere!

    From today’s Seattle Times:

The state and three other parties have agreed to pay $6 million to settle a lawsuit brought on behalf of a boy who was intentionally starved by his father and the man’s girlfriend.

The settlement, reached early Tuesday during mediation, stemmed from the case of Shayne Abegg, who weighed only 22 pounds at age 4 when authorities rescued him on March 7, 2007, from his Everett home. A year earlier, when Shayne came to live with his father, he had weighed 38 pounds.

Under the settlement, which requires approval by a judge, the state Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) agreed to pay $5 million, with the remainder to be split between state-contracted therapist Brad Simkins and two social-service agencies that hired him.

    Good work Rog!
Your career still lingers on…like a smelly fart.

The Times also compiled some of the other recent failures of DSHS. Thanks for these turds too Rog! I wonder how many more of these ugly situations were swept under the rug??

    Recent DSHS settlements

December 2008: $320,000 in the death of Robley Carr Jr. in foster care. Carr had received part of a $4 million settlement in 2003.
June 2007: $6.2 million to four foster children for failing to detect or prevent over five years of physical and sexual abuse.

April 2005: $1.52 million to two brothers who were molested by their foster father for three years in Bellingham.

December 2003: $180,000 to the family of 3-year-old Zy’Nyia Nobles, a Tacoma girl who was beaten to death in May 2000 after state social workers returned the child to her mother’s care.

November 2003: $8.8 million to Aba Sheikh, finding that negligence by state social workers contributed to a savage assault by a gang of teens living in a West Seattle foster home.

November 2003: $4 million to three siblings who were abused in a Seattle foster home.

February 2003: $4 million to four neglected children who were repeatedly beaten at a foster home on the Nooksack Indian reservation near Bellingham.

Compiled by Seattle Times news researcher Gene Balk

DSHS is the worst, out-of-control bureaucratic failure in State History. Where does the buck stop Rog?? You were just doing your job, right?

Poor Mr. C is reduced to blaming DSHS’s screwups on Roger Rabbit! What makes you think I worked for DSHS, C? Didn’t I say I was a judge? Boy, is your head ever fucked up. You’ve been fucking goats too long for your own good, boy.

Nobody familiar with Olympia would ever pretend that DSHS is a well-run agency, just as nobody who knows the first thing about public affairs would pretend that the GOP is a responsible or rational political party. I’ll concede that DSHS and the GOP are both FUBAR … but what does that have to do with me?

And what posters “say” on here IS totally subjective. I suspect that with Rodent’s extreme O.C.D. he was really maybe just a janitor at the courthouse. That would explain all his delusions, bottled-up hate and anger. Poor wittle Wabbit; always picked last for the team. :) Nice info. above BTW Mr. C.!

    Rog–
Nice try at side-stepping the fact that you represented DSHS many times over the years.
A state employee representing DSHS…allowing the madness to continue.
Seems like you can rationalize all the crazy-making you defended.
    Do Rabbit’s go to Hell??

@12 You’re full of shit — I never represented DSHS. By law, only the Attorney General’s Office can represent state agencies, and I never worked for AGO. I was a judge.

@11 Do you have something against janitors? Why do you hate janitors? For that matter, why do you Repubs hate all working people? But what I really don’t understand is, since you hate workers, why do you hate me, given that I don’t work? I’m a freeloader living off the fat of the land just like you guys. In fact, I have more in common with you Repubs than you realize — I don’t work, don’t produce anything, profit from other people’s labor, and get tax breaks for doing nothing. I even used to be a Republican sympathizer! Fortunately, I stopped that before I was old enough to vote, and have always voted Democrat.

I remember reading a news story about a guy who was a janitor for a private college for 40 years. He never married, and lived in a small bungalow near the campus, which he owned. Unbeknownst to anyone, his hobby was stock investing, and when he died, he willed his entire multimillion-dollar estate to the college! In our money-mad society, which loves to measure people by their net worth, this janitor was worth more than most 99% of his neighbors! How many of you trolls have ever given a college $100 let alone millions? And you look down on janitors? Huhnnn … further evidence of how stupid you are.

    Rog–
    Personally, I applaud janitors.
Anyone with their hand on the shovel (or broom) actually working is better than most of the Government Bureaucrats who spend tax dollars sceming up ways to screw taxpayers who pay their salaries.

Ohhhh, now he says he was a Judge. Sure, and a pig just flew by my office window. Haha. And we all wanted to be race-car drivers and astronauts as kids right? Rodent, your “rationale” is so hypocritical and deluded, it’s not worth a look. It is comical though, I must say. Perhaps you could open a comedy club and do a routine. You could call it: “Fantasies of O.C.D. Sufferers, a senile look into old-age.”

    I’d pay to see that.
