No wonder the intellectually lazy President Bush has a popularity rating below Nixon after he resigned.
No wonder the idealess republican party is being rejected by most Americans.
No wonder the ideologues Rumsfeld and Cheney bulldogged this incompetent President into doing their bidding.

@1 Bush was never anything but a figurehead. That’s why he was selected by party poobahs in 2000. The RNC sent Karl Rove to instruct him on how to take a piss.

The Republican Party’s dissing of intellectuals may lie at the heart of why the party is currently in freefall. How does a political party tell anybody who can think to blow themselves and somehow believe it can still come up with ideas that matter? The Rs got lucky in the 80s and 90s appealing to blue collar voters because of Reagan’s personality (and disingenuousness), gun control debates, and social issues. The Rs made a huge mistake thinking that they could endlessly play up anti-intellectualism as a winning theme with blue collar voters. Most of us, whether working class or otherwise, want our leaders to be smarter than us, better than us. The rightwingers don’t quite get that, and they now have nothing by way of thoughts for the future other than, once again, trying to dig up that old worm-ridden corpse of Ronald Reagan. Good luck with that, boys.

HAHA…Goldy still in full BDS mode. You regressives are such losers that even in victory, can’t seem to get the stick out of your ass and enjoy the fruits of an election win. You kiddies are simply toddlers in an adult body throwing a pity party for yourselves everyday rain or shine. Pathetic , really.
To quote Dean Wermer, “Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son” – I realize it’s too late for most of you here, but some have a chance not to end up like Goldy.

They both have a father that is an ignorant fool.

@7: As history will show, the Bush father was a hell of a lot smarter and better than the son. If the same is true for Goldy, his Dad must be einstein.
The ignorant fools are Bush, Palin and the republican losers. We finally have a President with some brains – not someone who struggles to read my pet goat.

@6: poor little baby Ricky is mad…what’s the matter all your favorite republicans LOST.
Get used to it punk, you guys have no credibility. After ruining the economy, ruining America’s reputation and bankrupting the country you guys were soundly defeated – the largest margin of victory since 1984. Democrats control congress and may reach 60 votes in the senate.
Your republican policies have been rejected for the hogwash they are.

Frat boys having a kegger four nights a week. That’s all I can see when I look at the Republican party these days.
Sure, you might dress them up more into Brooks Bro.’s suites, put them in charge of large corporations or Wall Street brokerage firms, or in the White House or the cabinet. But they all started out as frat boys who spent most of their college days drunk and skipping class, hiring the smart kids to write their final papers for them and to conduct a cram session just before finals – just enough so they can maintain their “gentleman’s ‘c'”.
After all, their family already had a job arrainged for them after college – they didn’t need to compete for one based on grades. And the skill set they needed in their new job was golf and schmoozing with their bosses and peers, keeping the “network” going which keeps all of them in their jobs and well rewarded with bonuses and stock options. Who needs homework for that?

Where is Puddy when you need him?
I am sure he can defend this republican who just quit his country club that doesn’t let in blacks. Oh yeah, he is also running for national chair of the republican party. Some party you got there, Puddy. Bunch of losers and the only base is whites in the deep south. My gues is this guy will fit right in – sheet or no sheet.
