    In terms of how the House will operate for the next fourteen months it makes almost no difference to Democrats.

    However dumb and however groveling and weak he may have been, one thing Brave Kevin was actually pretty good at was constantly marketing the party to both the media and to donors as “a rational party of modern ideas”.

    That’s gone now. This guy has none of those skills or inclinations. He’s a true-blood Evango-Trumpalo who openly and outspokenly supports nationwide bans on abortion, and same sex marriage. He has no donor contacts and no media contacts. But there’s little doubt he can instantly call upon a summit of televangelist con artists and angry Church Ladies if that’s any help.

    His only real recommendation to Biden district incumbents was that he has no history and so won’t instantly provoke a massive voter turnout backlash. But he’ll leave House Republicans seeking reelection further in the hole going into 2024. So he’ll probably also provoke a certain rapid wave of retirements creating open House seats.

    And if he remains consistent with his political past, he’s going to frequently be caught saying the quiet part out loud.
    I hope the profoundly stupid troll enjoys spending the next year desperately trying to mansplain away the truth about Republicans every 48 hours as the GOP Speaker makes yet another shockingly unpopular statement about his party’s goals.

    But I forsee nothing but good for Democrats in this forthcoming spectacle of partisan political suicide. And that will start with this fuckwit proving himself entirely incapable of forging a consensus among his own House conference members to bring forth a budget bill without shutting down the government. Which SHITDOWN Republicans will get to own 100% thanks to the last three weeks.
