Lots of people were skeptical, and for good reason.

He was incapable of breathing without help, much less governing his administration. And any sensible person would have been very suspicious of his judgement at that point. He was probably never more dangerous to our national safety than at that point. And that’s precisely when he was demanding FDA approval without safety testing.
Anybody who wasn’t skeptical of Trump’s vaccine at that time would probably have to be almost as confused and helpless as Trump was.

One other thing about these new videos, that Tillman mentions but that I think is particularly noteworthy:
down the thread at the bottom is the fifth and final of the videos presented before the GJ. This one is not new. It’s not BWC, but rather smartphone video taken by a rioter. As Tillman points out (and I think the reason for this being presented and emphasized for the GJ), that view of that entrance is what any one of the thousands of “excited tourists” would have seen as they approached.
It’s a super-violent melee. Uniformed police being swarmed under by a ultra-violent mob. They are being systematically stripped of the protective equipment, beaten repeatedly with bats, poles, and even a fucking hockey stick.
And every single one of those good Republican Trump supporters farther back in that crowd watched that unfolding and surged forward to join in and take part.
