Turns out the state Supreme Court’s voiding of a drug possession law also voided the points that contributed to his sentence.
He got the max again when resentenced, but only five years this time around. He’ll be back out and risking the lives of others seven years sooner.
He was from south Whidbey, so odds are the next person he kills will be a liberal. I guess that’s compensation for the shorter sentence.
