Any “conservatives” who, for whatever reason, can’t stand Trump and his cult worship need to leave. Then they need to think over very, very carefully what exactly it is they think makes them a “conservative”. Because I honestly doubt they know at this point.
Long before Trump came along, “conservatives” in America had embraced the culture wars targeting of vulnerable neighbors, rejected the basic premises of modern, pluralistic society, and the fundamental values of equal protection. They’ve been about “America for white europeans” for a lot longer than Trump. He came around to their way of thinking, not vice versa.
Too many of these never-Trumpers are merely greed-head elitists who desire access to the electoral power of dying white rage. They don’t share those values. They don’t particularly hate or fear women, non-white, or LGBTQ Americans. They hate all Americans.
