    The media framing of Gluesenkamp Perez’s support is typically very inaccurate.

    She may be able to carve out incumbency by appealing to working class “moderates”. But the media, consisting far too often of somewhat over-educated, younger, or more affluent older whites, tend to misunderstand the leanings and motivations of these working class “moderate” voters because they honestly don’t know any of them.

    These voters are most certainly not the mythical “socially progressive, fiscally conservative” voters that media white people conceive. And I think the support patterns for Gluesenkamp Perez illustrate that. She doesn’t do well with the more rural parts of her district where church attendance, racism, early pregnancy, traditional family structure, and very low levels of educational acheivement dominate. But it’s a mistake to think that working class always equals “rural” and “uneducated”. Of course we shouldn’t really be surprised if graduates of Reed don’t get that the person who fixes their Subaru is not a high school drop out who fucks their cousin.

    Call it “Blue Dog” or call it anything you like. But don’t mistakenly assume that these voters want abortion bans, school vouchers, school prayer, and massive cuts to public health, and public assistance. A lot of them voted for Gluesenkamp Perez because the image of a successful woman running a growing business in a trade dominated by men is something they recognize as familiar to them and comforting, even if the media don’t normally see it. And you won’t find these voters on a dairy farm or in a mega church. You’ll find them in suburbs raising non trad families working in hospitality, food service, transportation, and manufacturing. A bunch of them are women with their own businesses. A bunch of them are non-white.

    Yesterday ICE Fat Asses put about a dozen men on a flight destined for South Sudan, a country in a civil war, in direct defiance of a binding federal court order they had just received.
    Today the judge in the case issued an order to ICE to notify all the agency personnel involved that they are now subject to criminal contempt charges.

    The $45,000 bonus won’t be nearly enough.

    In today’s unhealthy news,

    UnitedHealth Group, the nation’s largest healthcare conglomerate, has secretly paid nursing homes thousands in bonuses to help slash hospital transfers for ailing residents – part of a series of cost-cutting tactics that has saved the company millions, but at times risked residents’ health, a Guardian investigation has found.

    Those secret bonuses have been paid out as part of a UnitedHealth program that stations the company’s own medical teams in nursing homes and pushes them to cut care expenses for residents covered by the insurance giant.

    We will all very quickly get used to regarding prosecutions brought by this DOJ as the sad jokes in bad taste that they are.

What’s more, it’s signed by a DHS special agent, not a prosecutor or lawyer. That’s because no lawyer is going to risk their license by putting their name on this piece of shit. He didn’t sign it either; he attested to it “by telephone.” This is pure theater, see for yourself below, and it will be dismissed.

    In other news,

    A federal judge chided the Department of Justice (DOJ) during a Wednesday hearing where he agreed to dismiss a trespassing charge against Newark Mayor Ras Baraka (D) that stemmed from his visit to a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility earlier this month alongside three Democratic members of Congress.

    U.S. District Judge Andre Espinosa said the arrest suggested a “worrisome misstep” by the New Jersey’s U.S. attorney’s office, noting the “apparent rush” in bringing the case that culminated in the government’s “embarrassing” retraction of the charge.

    He dismissed the complaint against Baraka with prejudice, meaning the charge cannot be brought again.

    The Senate GOP is all-in on facilitating Trump’s corruption:

    Senate Republicans on Wednesday blocked Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-N.Y.) bill that takes aim at President Trump’s deal with Qatar to accept a luxury jet as a gift to serve as the next Air Force One.

    Schumer attempted to pass the measure, which would essentially bar the use of a foreign-owned aircraft as the presidential aircraft, via unanimous consent.

    “This gift is outrageous,” Schumer said on the floor, calling it the “largest foreign bribe in modern history.” “It is bribery in broad daylight. … This is about ensuring our national security and about not wasting taxpayer dollars on an utterly senseless deal.”

    “Donald Trump accepting this gift reeks of corruption and naked self-enrichment,” Schumer added, calling on the GOP to support it.

    It might not be dismissed. They have time still. And this DOJ has proven itself reliable to toads and thugs in the ranks willing to trade away ALL of their credibility in a single throw (Emil Bove) that their legs are wide open and they are down to fuck.

    They just have to suborn perjury in an affidavit and before a grand jury. Then it’s off to the races. I still think their biggest hurdles are going to be intent and serious bodily injury.

    They’ll need one “eyewitness” to falsely claim she shouted “C’mon y’all! Let’s OFF these white pigs!”*. Then they’ll need an MD to testify that an “otherwise perfectly healthy” 340 lb, 43-year-old ICE Fat Ass who hasn’t seen his own penis in twenty years of donuts and farting in Chevy Suburbans is now “suddenly” crippled with ruptured anal fistulas from being bumped into.

    Easy peasy.

    *The fake “white genocide” isn’t strictly required for the true bill. But it’s definitely on brand.
