So now they have less than 30 hours to get a bill through both houses and signed by President Musk Biden.

    The only one way to avoid another Republican government shutdown is to pass the original negotiated bill in the House, send it to the Senate, and pass it there without changes. This is as good a time as any for Musk to find out we don’t have one-man rule in this country, and even if we do, he’s not the ruler.

Then, when arbitrarily presented with a Trump wishlist, it loses by 44 votes. And Speaker Mike, who needs Democratic votes to remain speaker, because some of his own members hate him, is spending his last Christmas as speaker. Elon Musk, Trump’s puppetmaster, understands none of how this works.

    You guys have 30 hours left to pass the negotiated bipartisan CR that includes the pediatric cancer research funding, and get it to Biden’s desk. If you don’t the Democrats will run ads against you in 2026 saying you shut down the government in order to take money away from saving children’s lives to give Musk a bigger tax cut.
