    That underperformance relative to his polling has continued into Super Tuesday. In Michigan (open primary so the idiot troll doesn’t have to cry) Trump The Penniless Rapist received 68.2% of the vote in Michigan as compared to his FiveThirtyEight polling average of 78.7%.

    It’s not so much the issue that the early polling is turning out to have some statistically significant survey error (although that’s obviously true) but more that the base of support for Trump The Penniless Rapist within his own core base of Republican voters is not as strong or as reliable as either the polling or his own punditry have argued. And that weakness could very well destroy him.

    Nearly one in five of yesterday’s Republican primary voters voted for someone other than Trump The Penniless Rapist, despite all other active campaigns having already suspended. It’s not at all clear what that means. Although it certainly isn’t the case that they are all secret hippies who have tunneled into the GOP primaries. Exit polling indicates that as in previous primaries these Republican voters opposing Trump The Penniless Rapist are better educated, suburban, more affluent, and generally more moderate.

    And if only a tiny portion, as little as one in seven of them and similar Republican voters they represent, decide to stay home and refuse to cast a vote for Trump in November, it becomes mathematically impossible for him to win in those states where they stay home.

    An investigation by the BART inspector general found multiple employees who would clock into their in-person jobs at the public transit system before spending the majority of their shifts at home or running errands—in the process collecting thousands of dollars in unwarranted pay.

    In the most flagrant example, surveillance by the BART police department found that a technician for the system’s automatic fare collection system improperly clocked in for 106 hours across 18 days in 2023, totaling more than $9,000 in falsely billed wages and benefits.

If a previous paper says, “the data shows (x) is the most common trait among (y)” future academic papers are not expected to rephrase as, ‘an analysis of the data shows (x) is the most frequent trait among 9y)”. The bulk of the ‘copied’ paragraphs is made up of the names of the studies cited.

    That’s what Rufo is on about here. Sentences describing data and data collection methods are similar to other papers in the same field.
