I’ve peed in Lake Shasta many times. Good fishing. I used to have a favorite bar in Redding that made crazy hot chili but it closed a decade ago. One of my business partners from LA moved to Shasta to retire. Died of cancer last year. His services were, I imagine, the last time I’ll be in Shasta. Not much reason to swing that far off I-5 even if I did decide to drive to SoCal again in this lifetime.
