    These messages are always tantalizing. Since Goldy is never forthcoming about what’s coming next, shall we indulge in wild speculation to fuel rumors?

    Any theories about what changes are coming? HA franchises? New labeling or ratings system to weed out trolls? Free beer? Goldy giving up blogging to run for WA-08 CD?

    Boeing To Lay Off 4,500 Workers

    BREAKING — King 5 News says Boeing plans to eliminate 4,500 jobs, mostly in the Puget Sound area, erasing all of the company’s 2008 job gains. While some workers will be eliminated through attrition, the company expects most of these job losses to be layoffs. Contract engineers and workers in overhead positions will bear the brunt of the layoffs, while production workers generally will be spared.

    Meanwhile, as further evidence that this recession is real and is deepening, the nationwide December jobs report is as bad as November’s, with over 540,000 jobs being lost last month, and the national unemployment rate now stands at 7.2% — the worst since 1992, when a faltering economy cost Bush Sr. re-election.

    Why does the economy always suck under Republican presidents? It appears to me that Republicans don’t care about jobs or workers. In fact, Republican employers love high unemployment because it keeps workers cowed and allows them to push wages down. Republican economic policies seem designed to keep unemployment high.

    RR @ 14: Troll likes to pretend that he has a position in this blog. He regularly tries to give orders to Goldy about what to do. It’s kindof sad.

    I’m guessing he also dresses up in military or police uniforms, so he can pretend to give orders to people around him.
