Unlike 2000 and 2004 I really am excited by the candidate for the first time since Bill Clinton. For me there is little to critize. But then again I’m like Obama in the middle of the democratic Party not on the Kuchnich wing or the Bayh wing.

Well Josh – now you know how my side feels. Those of us who know Obama is a naive, inexperienced, socialist-leaning, empty suit haven’t been allowed to criticize him either. Not without being called every unfair name in the book, not the least of which was racist.
IF he wins, it will be a relief to think you’ll be joining us in a bit of free speech for a change.

Nah. You’ll still piss and moan about “free speech” when we point out the stupidity of your arguments and the vacuousness of your thinking.

Mr. Cynicalspews:
Trust that Obama will receive the same consideration from Republicans that Bush received from the Democrats. Turnabout is obviously fair..right?
And to Mike Jones?? WTF??
Obama has the most Liberal Voting Record in the US Senate. He is soooooooooo far from the center of the aisle he cannot even see it, much less reach across it.
You have been duped by the one thing Obama has produced in his career, Rhetorical Bullshit.
Obama knows one thing for sure and that is from the words of 6-time American Socialist Party Candidate Norman Thomas:
“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Oh, there’s been a fringe out there for quite a while, but most wingnuts have been pretty mum about it. Even Hal Lindsay wouldn’t go that far, saying only that Sen. Obama is preparing the way for the Anti-Christ.
I’m wondering when they’re going to start being more overt about it.

Don Joespews:
@ 7
Why do you keep implying that Ronald Reagan was a socialist?
@ 8
I find it amusing that, rather than go back and rethink your arguments and your fundamental assumptions, you’d prefer to spend your time chastising me for my impatience with your stupidity.
When you have your head up your ass, blaming me for the fact that you can’t breathe is just a tad bit misplaced.

Trust that Obama will receive the same consideration from Republicans that Bush received from the Democrats.
All we did was give Bush the same adulation and support that your side extended to President Bill Clinton, except that WE didn’t impeach him just because we had the votes to in the House. Turnabout is obviously fair..right?
15
Daddy Lovespews:
But, I should add, Obama has got game that you guys haven’t even imagined.
So go ahead, bring all of your trash talk and your lies and your lame “guilt by association” smears. He’s already outsmarted you and you don’t even know it yet.
Yes, indeed. You asserted a conclusion without a shred of supporting evidence, someone points out the fact that you’ve not supported your conclusion in any way, and suggested one possible basis for your conclusion.
And, what’s your response? Well, rather than come up with a well reasoned argument in favor of your stated conclusion, you piss and moan about the form with which someone has pointed out the fact that you’re full of shit.
Talk about making someone else’s point.

Daddy Lovespews:
Well, if Obama is “socialist-leaning,” then this country be hungering for some Karl Marx.
Conservatives, and Republicans, love to flatter themselves that THEY represent the true leanings and aspirations of the people. But how do we prove that they are not?
Would a Democratic Congress prove it?
How about a Democratic President with a Democratic Congress?
How about a Democratic President, Democratic Congress, and a Democratic majority among the nation’s governors?
How about a Democratic president, Senate, House, governors, and polling data showing Americans support universal healthcare, are pro-choice, oppose the war in Iraq, and support the Democratic agenda on everything from the environment to the minimum wage to international diplomacy?
Yeah, I think that does it.
