The biggest issue was that in the 80’s it had a very bad gang problem. People didn’t feel safe and the city was abandoned and from there it went all downhill. The NHL Whalers left and its never really recovered but recently there have been some positives. But the surrounding towns (all within 20 minutes drive) from the downtown Hartford are built up and became isolationists (just like Drumpfy). And it hasn’t worked. All those executive of Aetna live in those little towns. Now without Aetna being in a Hartford those little town will now suffer. Serves them right.
People should have stood up and stayed and invested in a Hartford. Taxes were fine for me. I survived the taxes. The fucking people are stupid. A state with one of the best public services that are offered. But fuck them – go live in Florida. See ya. I moved to NYC for different reasons.
