In an Open Thread yesterday, our most anti-Semitic troll (and that’s really saying something), left this cryptic message:
i reccomend all you liberals go to cars.gov and continue thru all pages.
I normally have some vague sense of where these whackjobs are coming from, but that one had me scratching my head. Apparently, we can blame Glenn Beck for this one, as he was telling his viewers that the “Cash for Clunkers” site allows the government to take control of your computer.
I’m not sure I agree with Jon that this kind of paranoia doesn’t happen during Republican administrations, but during those times, it generally doesn’t get megaphoned from a major cable news program.
manoftruth spews:
if its so crazy, then when you get to the part where it says “the computer will be the property of the governmet”, just click it.

Since he got the wrong .gov website I guess there’s no problem. No denial of the content of the webpage.
It’s good to see it’s not going to happen to citizens, only car dealers. Again, no denial of the words just the reassurance that it’s only going to happen to those the government has already screened.
The dailypus video transcription says-
BECK: … The dealer goes to Cars.gov
So beck didn’t say it was going to happen to citizens, and what he reported was correct except he gave the wrong webpage.
Mr. Cynical spews:
The hell it doesn’t Lee.
All we heard from the leftist loons was fear of Bush/Cheney personally listening to their conversations, a police state, spying, 9/11 was a hoax etc. etc.

Haha, so that’s supposed to excuse it? LOL!
It wasn’t a webpage, it was an application. It would be no different than how a company would treat contractors who download their proprietary apps with corporate info to their computers. When I’m logged in to my work VPN on my personal laptop, I’m certain that they have the ability to see my hard drive. That’s pretty standard.

All we heard from the leftist loons was fear of Bush/Cheney personally listening to their conversations, a police state, spying, 9/11 was a hoax etc. etc.

fueled by the Olberman/Maher’s of the world
Name one conspiracy theory promoted by Olbermann or Maher.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Golly Lee that is easy.
Olbermann The ESPN Reject claimed in 2004 Bush’s win in Florida – and thus the election – was “attributable largely to largely Democratic districts suddenly switching sides and all voting for Mr. Bush at the same time”! Except this EPIC FAIL showed the Florida Panhandle counties have been voting Republican for a long time. For instance in 2000 Bush won the counties at 69%, 57% and 66%. Butt poor Keith, he forgot Bush won Florida by 350,000 in 2004 while the total votes from those counties was approximately 50,000.
Lee you must of missed his “The Nexus of Politics and Terror” in October 2005 with the ESPN Reject “offered proof” Bush and Rove created false terror alerts. Except it was another EPIC FAIL! Keith told all of us “13 similar coincidences — a political downturn for the administration, followed by a terror event, a change in alert status, an arrest, a warning.” None of the DNC claimed that.
Keith Olbermann: “Last Thursday on this news hour, I referred to the latest terror threat, the reported bomb plot against the New York City subway system, in terms of its timing. President Bush’s speech about the war on terror had come earlier the same day, as had the breaking news of the possible indictment of Karl Rove in the CIA leak investigation. I suggested that preliminary research suggested that in the last three years, there had been about 13 similar coincidences — a political downturn for the administration, followed by a terror event, a change in alert status, an arrest, a warning. Our third story in the Countdown tonight, ‘The Nexus of Politics and Terror.’ We figured we had better put that list of coincidences on the public record. You will find 10 of them in this report here. The other three will be in the blog entry that will be going up tonight. This contraction is purely for the sake of time. It permits us to get the reaction of the former Undersecretary of Homeland Security, Asa Hutchison, after this commentary. We bring you these coincidences reminding you and ourselves here that perhaps the simplest piece of wisdom in the world is called a ‘logical fallacy.’ Just because event A occurs and then event B occurs, that does not automatically mean that event A caused event B. But one set of introductory comments from an informed observer seems particularly relevant as we examine these coincidences. On May 10 of this year, after his resignation, former Secretary of Homeland Security Ridge put back on the terror alert level changes that were issued on his watch. Mr. Ridge said, ‘More often than not, we were the least inclined to raise it. Sometimes we disagreed with the intelligence assessment. Sometimes we thought even if the intelligence was good, you don’t necessarily put the country on [alert]… there were times when some people were really aggressive about raising it, and we said, “For that? ‘The Nexus of Politics and Terror.’ Please judge for yourself.”
Keith Olbermann: “Number one. May 18, 2002. The first details of the President’s daily briefing of August 6, 2001, are revealed, including its title: ‘Bin Laden determined to strike in U.S.’ The same day another memo is discovered revealing the FBI knew of men with links to al-Qaeda training at an Arizona flight school. The memo was never acted upon. Questions about 9/11 intelligence failures are swirling. May 20, 2002.” – You can get the YouTube of this fool!
Then there’s Keith’s September 2006 argument of Bush helping Joe Lieberman win his Senate seat against that fool Ned Lamont by saying “And could it just be coincidence that the President finds out about this plot, then his Vice President and the Republican chairman start slamming Democrats for being soft on terror, then the public is informed about the plot? Could it really be just coincidence?” You can watch Mr ESPN Reject on YouTube regarding this fool!
You surely must remember the April 2009 show where Olbermann brought up his “pet” theory that the Bush administration waterboarded Al Qaeda detainees to induce false confessions to justify the Iraq War. Lee, you mean you missed that gallon of kook-aid?
Keith Olbermann: If told that this information was going to be unreliable and not factual, presumably, they wouldn`t have turned to it unless it was just some idea that they wanted to enjoy torturing people, which may or may not be true, but doesn`t seem to help anybody`s cause in any direct way. Doesn`t this cinch the idea that the purpose of torturing detainees was not to get useful information to protect America in some way, but it was to get people to confess to things that did not happen? You can watch Mr ESPN Reject on YouTube regarding this fool!

Yes, that’s true, especially since my company has offices in both the U.S. and Europe. Network security officials (possibly in both places) can monitor what I’m doing when I’m connecting to the corporate VPN. I’m not an expert on the legalities here, but as I understand it, the rationale for much of these legal disclaimers is to make sure that they’re covered in case an employee decides to sue over a privacy infringement. Maybe there’s other rationale.
Either way, Beck is absolutely dead wrong that the warning is for the cars.gov site. And furthermore, I find it very hard to believe that they didn’t know they were wrong. What he clicked on to bring up the dialog on the computer he was using doesn’t appear to exist on the actual site. The whole bit looked staged to me (that’s why I asked manoftruth to tell me how to get to that point, because I don’t think you can). Maybe you can tell me where I can encounter that legal disclaimer from the cars.gov site. If you can’t, there’s a very good chance Beck just made that shit up out of his ass.

This is factually incorrect. There were even Republicans who voted against the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002.
“US forces DID find 500 tons of yellowcake (not for weddings). What do they use that for?”
The yellowcake recently removed from Iraq was not “found” by the U.S. The yellowcake had been secured by UN teams after the first Gulf war, was well known and well documented and was not considered a threat (source):

Not admirable using HA Libtardo argument tactics back at you all? Puddy knows it takes a good mind to figger out the HA Libtardo argument style and deflect it back at ya.
And that makes is right? When all the evidence is there the Panhandle has been voting Republican in presidential elections for years? “Conspiracy Theory”!!!!!
Golly all Lee did was “confirm” everything Olbermann said in his show as “truth” when it’s more defined as “Olbermann Conspiracies”.
Darryl spews:
Puddy @ 64,
“Puddy only bolded what Keith the conspiracy theorist claimed.”
No…it was not a claim. It was a question to a guest (Rep. Conyers) about what would take place IF the reports of tampering were true. If you read the transcript, you learn that Conyers and four other Congresspersons had called upon the GAO to “immediately undertake an investigation into the efficacy of voting machines and new technologies used in the 2004 election.”
Yeah…Olbermann is a real conspiracy promoter
“Since it was a claim of tampering by Keith Puddy assisted reading morons like clueless wondermoron and another total jerk by bolding it.”
Vote tampering was not a claim by Olbermann. Olbermann was reporting such claims from politicians and other media sources.
‘Puddy appreciates you realizing Puddy is “clever”!’
Yes…it is very “clever” using bold letters to attempt to make the actual context around a passage disappear!

Wrong. In your comment # 48 and 49 you use Olbermann quotes about Ohio and Florida as evidence that Olbermann promotes conspiracy theories. The broadcast was on election irregularities, in general, and a call by congresscritters for an investigation.
“F L O R I D A. Even Lee “tried” to respond to the Florida conspiracy. Butt, there was no conspiracy as Keith was trying to put forth.”
LOL! Five congresscritters call for an investigation. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports voting irregularities. Olbermann begins his broadcast by making the statement:
And Olbermann is PROMOTING the conspiracy theory???????
Puddy, you are transgressing mere BULLSHITTING into BLATANT LYING. “Willful ignorance” cannot be an excuse on this one, Pud.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@4 “All we heard from the leftist loons was fear of Bush/Cheney personally listening to their conversations, a police state, spying, 9/11 was a hoax etc. etc.”
First of all, if by “leftist loons” you mean Democrats generally, then your assertion that Democrats in general believed 9/11 was a hoax is a figment of your hyperactive imagination. My suggestion here is when your mommy gives you your Ritalin pills, swallow them instead of throwing them into the bushes.
As for your assertion concerning Bushevik spying on civilians, it is now established beyond debate that the Bush secretly authorized warrantless wiretapping that violated both the Constitution and federal law, and lied about it. Which brings to mind the domestic spying, political intimidation, and burglaries of the Nixon era — conservative Republican presidents seem to have a habit of behaving like Hitler, Stalin, and third-world despots in this regard. And you, dear idiot, vote for and defend these tyrants. Shame on you.
And then there’s this little item from today’s edition of the local Republican propaganda sheet: http://seattletimes.nwsource.c.....ar02m.html
Okay, now, whether tracking groups that engage in activities they call “civil disobedience” but which may in fact be illegal is reasonably debatable. But misses the point of this news item, which is that crimes like trespassing are a responsibility of the local civilian police. There’s a reason why we don’t let the Army conduct domestic surveillance operations against civilian political activists, and that’s because it smacks of the repression and dictatorship that exists in countries like Cuba and Iran, and we don’t want that crap here. But you’re too stupid to understand things like, or maybe the problem is that you love tyranny and repression, and hate democracy and free speech. Either way, we can always count on Republican scumbags like you to embrace anything that smells of dictatorship and stifling of dissent.
And should I mention that to Republicans, “peace” is a dirty word?

You missed the point completely. You claim Lee’s argument about Beck is bad, so you attack using the same bad argument technique??? That’s retarded.
“Just did.”
’bout fucking time you actually try to argue the point. Perhaps Lee will want to respond.
“Puddy pasted a few conspiracies promoted by Olbermann.”
No you didn’t. You pointed out some reports Olbermann did on preliminary or controversial topics.
Here is some help for you in distinguishing between promoting a conspiracy theory versus reporting on a controversial news topic.
1. If there are credible preliminary reports on a topic, it is not a conspiracy theory to cover the story.
2. If it turns out to be true, it is certainly not a conspiracy theory. (i.e. Color codes and torture discussed above).
3. If it turns out not to be true, the reporting of preliminary reports does not make one a conspiracy theorist.
4. If, after investigation, there is no credible evidence to support a proposition (or there is a preponderance of evidence to contradict the proposition), but a person continues to discuss it as the truth or as possible, then that person is promoting a conspiracy theory.
By the way, Lee did not refer to Glenn Beck as a conspiracy theorist in his post. He implied paranoia.
“Not admirable using HA Libtardo argument tactics back at you all?”
Not when you claim the argument tactics are invalid! Duh.
“And that makes is right? When all the evidence is there the Panhandle has been voting Republican in presidential elections for years? “Conspiracy Theory”!!!!!”
Puddy…when five congresscritters call for a GAO investigation it is news. Even if, in retrospect, the investigation lead nowhere (see rule 3 above).
‘Golly all Lee did was “confirm” everything Olbermann said in his show as “truth” when it’s more defined as “Olbermann Conspiracies”.’
No…Lee and others have pointed out that the items you picked as Olbermann conspiracies were not conspiracies (for one of the reasons listed earlier in this comment). Doing so cannot be taken as a statement by Lee that he “swallows everything from Olbermann.” “Everything” is a tall order.

Darryl,
Why did Puddy use those quotes? Because Lee provided the link. Lee was trying to make a worthless point above where Olbermann “didn’t say” that so it’s proven false. All Puddy was proving was Olbermann believed the stuff to be true hence he’s PROMOTING the conspiracy theory.
Regarding these so called election irregularities, you continue to skip over the facts while trying to make your “point”. The DNC had nuthin to say about Florida while they did scream and shout over Ohio. Olbermann lumped in Florida as part of his conspiracy theory!
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:

“The Bush administration periodically put the USA on high alert for terrorist attacks even though then-Homeland Security chief Tom Ridge argued there was only flimsy evidence to justify raising the threat level, Ridge now says,” reports today’s USA Today.

““Sometimes we disagreed with the intelligence assessment. Sometimes we thought even if the intelligence was good, you don’t necessarily put the country on (alert),” said Ridge. “There were times when some people were really aggressive about raising it, and we said, ‘For that?’””

Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:

Darryl spews:
Puddy @ 94,
“Why did Puddy use those quotes? Because Lee provided the link.”
So?
“All Puddy was proving was Olbermann believed the stuff to be true hence he’s PROMOTING the conspiracy theory.”
Bullshit. You continue to ignore the fact that, coming on Nov 9, 2004, it can hardly be classified as a conspiracy. It was simply news.
“The DNC had nuthin to say about Florida while they did scream and shout over Ohio. Olbermann lumped in Florida as part of his conspiracy theory!”
And what possible relevance is that????
Darryl spews:
Puddy @ 95,
“The Bush administration periodically put the USA on high alert for terrorist attacks even though then-Homeland Security chief Tom Ridge argued there was only flimsy evidence to justify raising the threat level, Ridge now says,” reports today’s USA Today.
Tom Ridge never said that. Puddy delivered what he said and in your “Salon” link…
Then you have COMPLETELY discredited your claim. If Tom Ridge said something that the an MSM source picked up because it suggested political manipulation of the color coding system, then IT IS NOT A CONSPIRACY THEORY–even if later proves overblown. This is called REPORTING, not promoting conspiracy theory, dumbass!
You could argue that Olbermann read too much into it, but that doesn’t make it a conspiracy theory!

Either provide logical arguments why my criteria are incorrect or argue why Olbermann’ reports fall into the conspiracy theory according to the criteria.
Lee spews:

No, it was a guest on Olbermann’s show who brought up the panhandle counties. That person made a mistake, but that is very, very far from Olbermann peddling a conspiracy theory. He was investigating questions that were raised by members of Congress.
How on Earth does that compare to what Beck did?
Again, Puddy, one instance. That’s all. Just one.

“P.S. What is funny is they are complaining about two Dummocraptic controlled Florida counties, Broward and Palm Beach. That’s just tooooooooo damnnnnnnnnnn funnnnnnnnnny.”
Yet…still, you have not risen to Lee’s challenge. Where are the Olbermann conspiracies, Pud?
Lee spews:
@113
Puddy’s argument boils down to:
“Olbermann had a guest on his show in 2004 who made an inaccurate assumption about previous voting patterns, therefore Olbermann himself is guilty of peddling conspiracy theories.”
LOL!
I swear to god, every time I think Puddy has said the dumbest thing he’s ever said, he manages to lower the bar even more.
Mr. Cynical spews:
Olbermann repeatedly argued that Fox News was partially responsible for the murder of Dr. George Tiller. He played clips of the network depicting Tiller as a baby killer and a Nazi, among other things. Olbermann called on viewers to not patronize businesses that show Fox News and to encourage their friends not to watch the channel — “not so much a boycott here as a quarantine.” Olbermann pledged to take the first step and “retire the name, the photograph, and the caricature” of Bill O’Reilly from his own show.
Olbermann had ZERO proof that the alleged killer was in anyway incited or influenced by FOX News. It was merely Olbermann’s wild “Conspiratorial” imagination.
Olbermann, as he often does, tries to pretend to be a newscaster instead of propagandist.
To this date, there has been ZERO evidence that Fox influenced Tiller’s killer.

Except the six congresscritters weren’t asking for that investigation as you “proclaimed” above. It’s one of your stunts you sometime pull and then run away from it. There was no need to investigate the Panhandle cuz there was no problem. It was all in Olbermann’s conspiracy laden mind.
Then with the Connecticut peeps voting for Lieberman’s and you all claiming Bush swayed the vote of a known blue state by screaming Dummocrapts are soft on terra is laughable, utterly laughable. Neither were proven true. Two figments of Olbermann’s conspiracy mind.
But referring to it later more than once is Olbermann’s style. First on November 3. Then November 10. Then November 14. Then November 17. Then November 30. Then December 10. Those are six days Puddy found through PMSNBC.
But here is the kicker…The New York Times, traced the origin of Olbermann’s Florida panhandle story in an article entitled “Vote Fraud Theories, Spread by Blogs, Are Quickly Buried”. And we all know with Frank Rich, Maureen Dowd, and Paul Krugman they are hardly a bastion of GOP thought.
So why did The ESPN Reject discuss it again on November 14, November 17, November 30 & December 10? Wow that meets the conspiracy theory criteria you threw up in #88.

You got nothin’ Puddy – your “facts” are wrong again. Olbermann did not promote the 9/11 conspiaracy and Beck was wrong and promoting another alarmist piece of right wingnut BS.
Must feel pretty bad to be so continually wrong. That is if you can actually recognize it.

NutsTooTight: 9/11 conspiracy? Where is that NutsTooTight? Wow the sack really retracted tonight. Once again all can see you ain’t been paying attention fool. We’re talking about voting conspiracies, Ned Lamont, and Al Qaeda waterboarding. Looks like you ain’t playing with a full deck again. How many jokers are in your deck today?
Ummm NutsTooTight go back and reread post #126, and pay attention to Darryl’s item #4. You’ll see Olbermann met the conspiracy criteria as put forth by Darryl in #88 with four more nightly discussions after the NY Times proved it wrong. Butt, as always, you are too foolish to figger it out.
Let us all know when they release so you aren’t so NutsTooTight.

Nope! You on route for a brain transplant perhaps? One that keeps chronological items in correct time?
Darryl spews:
Puddy,
“Except the six congresscritters weren’t asking for that investigation as you “proclaimed” above. It’s one of your stunts you sometime pull and then run away from it. There was no need to investigate the Panhandle cuz there was no problem. It was all in Olbermann’s conspiracy laden mind.”
Ummm…Puddy Olbermann’s piece WAS NOT about voter irregularities in the Florida Panhandle. It was a piece about reports of voting irregularities, in general. One guest, the reporter who wrote the Cincinnati Enquirer article was the only person to discuss the Panhandle.
You claimed above that Olbermann ‘claimed in 2004 Bush’s win in Florida – and thus the election – was “attributable largely to largely Democratic districts suddenly switching sides and all voting for Mr. Bush at the same time”!”‘
The bolded part—that wasn’t Olbermann speaking!
“Then with the Connecticut peeps voting for Lieberman’s and you all claiming Bush swayed the vote of a known blue state by screaming Dummocrapts are soft on terra is laughable, utterly laughable. Ned the Moron Lamont shot himself in the foot with his associations of left-wingwhack job kook-aid producing groups. That Olbermann conspiracy theory on a blue state being swayed by something Bush said in a state which didn’t vote for Bush in either presidential election is also laughable, utterly laughable.”
I’m sorry, I have no idea what you are babbling about here.
“Democrats screamed Bush raised the terrorist alert colors purely for political gain
Al-Qaeda screamed the WTC attacks were an Israeli plot against the US.
See the similarities?”
No. They seem quite dissimilar.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:

Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:

Your typical run away and hide argument method.
Yep that bolded part was on his show. That person also talked about Ohio irregularities. He listened to it and he ran with it. He asked John Conyers about the “Florida Voting Irregularities” later in the show. Yep he ran with it.
YLB spews:
139 – But Stupes I don’t get it. I cited one of your favorite sources – you know, Murdoch’s NY Post. The URL has the words “gun_nut” in it?
I mean what’s wrong with that lady having an assault rifle, a shotgun and 500 rounds of ammo? Why does the NY POST one of your favorite sources of right wing bullshit hate the second amendment?
Why aren’t you going to a tea party? I mean there’s lots of neo-con ladies like Nancy Genovese sharing what they’ve watched on the Glen Beck show, showing pictures of the “FEMA camps” to each other. Those are the kind of ladies you like to defend here on HA.org.
I mean think of it. You can show them the “moonbats” on this website with your laptop. You’d love that wouldn’t you?
Darryl spews:
Puddy,
“Where were the “preliminary reports” the 2004 Presidential Panhandle vote was tainted? “
READ THE FUCKING TRANSCRIPT. Olbermann never discussed the “Panhandle vote.” The person who just briefly mentioned the panhandle vote (as a small part of a broader discussion of voting irregularities, in general, was the author of the original Cincinnati Examiner article.
“The DNC? The congresscritters? Where were the “preliminary reports” the 2006 Ned Lamont loss was due to Bush claiming terraism and Ned Lamont?”
I have no idea what you are getting at here.
“Neither were proven true. Two figments of Olbermann’s conspiracy mind.”
LOL, Puddy. Both are confirmed with a high degree of certainty. You quibble about how Ridge’s words were used, but in reality, Ridge made it clear that his own assessments were overridden.
“But referring to it later more than once is Olbermann’s style. First on November 3. Then November 10. Then November 14. Then November 17. Then November 30. Then December 10. Those are six days Puddy found through PMSNBC.
4.”
Please provide links to these episodes. Given your inability to actually attribute quotes to the correct person (e.g. the Panhandle quote in 9 above), I would prefer to assess the evidence for myself.
“But here is the kicker…The New York Times, traced the origin of Olbermann’s Florida panhandle story in an article entitled “Vote Fraud Theories, Spread by Blogs, Are Quickly Buried”.”
That article says absolutely nothing about Olbermann! What kind of bullshit snowjob are you trying to pull her Puddy! If anything, the article shows that the story grew legs very quickly. If congresscritters are reacting to the original blog analysis, why wouldn’t the MSM report on it?
“And we all know with Frank Rich, Maureen Dowd, and Paul Krugman they are hardly a bastion of GOP thought.
Irrelevant…the article was written by Tom Zeller, not Rich, Dowd, or Krugman. Tom wrote the article as a reporter. Do you even understand the difference between the kind of writing Dowd, Rich and Krugman (Op-Ed columnists) does and what a reporter does????
“So why did The ESPN Reject discuss it again on November 14, November 17, November 30 & December 10? Wow that meets the conspiracy theory criteria you threw up in #88.”
I doubt he did…but, knock yourself out. Give me the links (or searchable quotes), and I’ll be happy to evaluate your evidence.
Darryl spews:
Puddy @ 140,
“Darryl uses his favrit excuse…

Ummm…no, Puddy. I use that when I have no fucking clue what you are babbling about.
“Yep that bolded part was on his show. That person also talked about Ohio irregularities. He listened to it and he ran with it. He asked John Conyers about the “Florida Voting Irregularities” later in the show. Yep he ran with it.”
Okay…so we have established that Olbermann didn’t discuss the “Panhandle issue” specifically, right?
And why is it strange that Olbermann asked Conyers about the Florida voting irregularities? From the Zeller article:
The article also points out (correctly) that there were Florida voting irregularities identified. So where is the conspiracy that Olberman was promoting?????
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Darryl, what are you babbling about now? Puddy never said Olbermann didn’t discuss the Panhandle issue. He was in conversation with the person who brought it up. Great effort Darryl, gotta hand it to you on that one!

Puddybud @ 144,
“Puddy never said Olbermann didn’t [did?] discuss the Panhandle issue. He was in conversation with the person who brought it up.”
I think you meant “did” above, no? If so, look at your comment @ 9. You directly attribute a quote to Olbermann that Olbermann DID NOT MAKE. And cite that as evidence that Olbermann is promoting a conspiracy.
“Great effort Darryl, gotta hand it to you on that one!”
It was nothing, really. But we are all waiting for you to rise to Lee’s challenge, PuddyBud!
“Regarding the NY Times article, there is no trick whatsoever. Awwww poor Darryl, the NY Times debunked Olbermann sources but he kept on trucking…”
Here again, you are mistaken. The NY Times article didn’t cite Olbermann, doesn’t cite his guest Erica Solving (who made the statement you attributed to Olbermann), they didn’t mention MSNBC, they scarcely mentioned the MSM at all. The article is about reporting by blogs! Furthermore, the article confirms that there were real voting anomalies in Florida!
So…that makes Keith Olbermann a promoter of conspiracies, how? By having a journalist on who, in mentioning a handful of voting anomalies around the country, briefly mentions one set of anomalies (that were also picked up by six congresspersons and and made part of a GAO complaint) that would subsequently be debunked?!?!?
Your a fucking riot Pudster!
“BTW You can search MSNBC like Puddy did for the Olbermann comments.”
No shit, Sherlock. But here is where we stand:
1. You’ve made the claim that Olbermann promoted a conspiracy theory.
2. Your “conspiracy theory” is, apparently, voting anomalies in the Panhandle, which Olberman has somehow actively participated in advancing.
3. You have not offered evidence that Olbermann promoted the conspiracy. In fact all we know is that a journalist on Olbermann’s show made a brief mention of the Panhandle issue a week after the election, and before the Panhandle issue was fully evaluated for its veracity.
4. You have suggested that Olbermann made statements to promote this conspiracy theory on specific dates after the non-mention listed in 3.
5. You have offered no quotations to support your claim. Please present your evidence that supports the claim. The readers of this thread shouldn’t have to go on a string of wild goose chases to figure out what you are offering as “evidence” to support your conspiracy theory promotion theory.

@156 (continued) Anyway, it’s no problem at all. All anyone needs to do to avoid these taxes is become an unemployed bum like me. In fact, Republican policies have already made so many middle class folks unemployed that we’re well on the way toward becoming a nation of hoboes living in abandoned houses and tent cities.
But hey, there’s nothing wrong with that! This depression isn’t gonna be like the ’30s, thanks to the mortgage crisis. Today’s destitute people can take their pick of abandoned 6,000-square-foot McMansions! Entire subdivisions are vacant, if you know where to look for them! Brand new, never-occupied, fancy homes with granite countertops are available for squatting all over the country! Things have never been so good for the unemployed and down-and-out!! THANK YOU REPUBLICANS!!! We proletarians appreciate it!!
But that begs the real question, which is, why should anyone work in this country? What does anyone gain by working for cheap labor conservatives? I don’t work!
I’m just gonna keep on truckin’ and keep on flippin’ stocks like a truck stop cook flips pancakes. I bought hundreds of shares of Harley Davidson 3 weeks ago for a song and HOG is already up 35%! Man, I LOVE free money!! And the low taxes on capital gains and dividends! Sure beats working for cheap labor conservatives, which is little better than slavery.
Wingnuts want you to believe that liberal rabbits hate the rich. Bullshit! I LOVE the rich folks who bought on margin and are forced to GIVE AWAY their shares by margin calls! I LOVE recession pricing of stocks! THANK YOU REPUBLICANS!!! We need a rip-roaring depression every few years to keep stock flippers like me in business. Depressions work great for transferring fortunes from one set of pockets to another set of pockets! I’m gonna be a rich fucking bunny and I, too, will get to live like a Republican!!!

First off, Darryl highlighted a claim from the NY Times article the six congresscritters supplied a link to Dopps claims on the Panhandle…
Ummm not that one. And there are no Florida Panhandle Counties.
Ummm not that one either. Dopps data not included Darryl. Good try at selecting a paragraph with no truth in it…
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Next off Darryl went here…
Here is what Puddy wrote
Puddy didn’t say there weren’t real voting abnormalities in Florida. This is another of your debate tactics Darryl. Obfuscate your opponent’s comments. No wonder you get low marks at UW. Puddy said…
You can easily review what Puddy wrote by actually reading what Puddy wrote. Also since the leftist blogs are what carried Dopps analysis and the complaint was the libtardo MSM wasn’t jumping on it…
Regarding the Solvig quote Puddy used above, yes Solvig said it. Olbermann never refuted it or even fact checked it. He allowed it to go into the night unchecked. So he agreed with her assessment. Yet when Bill O’Reilly has a guest on and they say something wrong, it’s trumpet here. Except in this case, the NY Times exposed it all.
NY Times article…”But rebuttals to the Florida fraud hypothesis were just as quick. Three political scientists, from Cornell, Harvard and Stanford, pointed out, in an e-mail message to a Web site that carried the news of Ms. Dopp’s findings, that many of those Democratic counties in Florida have a long tradition of voting Republican in presidential elections. And while Ms. Dopp says that she and dozens of other researchers will continue to analyze the Florida vote, the suggestion of a link between certain types of voting machines and the vote split in Florida has, at least for now, little concrete support.”
Olbermann: “And in Cuyahoga County, that is greater Cleveland, the official records of 29 different voting precincts show more votes than registered voters to a total of 93,000 extra votes in that county alone.
As an example, in Fairview Park, 12 miles west of Cleveland, 13,342 voters were registered. 18,472 votes were cast. None of this even addresses the story we told you about last week in the town of Gahanna outside Columbus, Ohio. There in a district with just 800 voters, a voting machine added 3,893 votes to Mr. Bush‘s total. ”
NY Times article…”Still, as visitors to Ms. Dopp’s site approached 70,000 early this week, other election anomalies were gaining traction on the Internet. The elections department in Cleveland, for instance, set off a round of Web log hysteria when it posted turnout figures on its site that seemed to show more votes being cast in some communities than there were registered voters. That turned out to be an error in how the votes were reported by the department, not in the counting.
Did Olbermann ever go back and report the Cleveland error was a mistake. NOPE! And all through this thread Darryl is “trying” take Puddy to task for identifying Olbermann’s conspiracy theory on Florida Panhandle counties when we all can see even his comments about Cleveland, Ohio were never retracted.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Pelletizer@148: Lee said
Too bad you can follow a thread discussing evidence of a conspiracy. In this case it’s voting fraud with electronic voting machines in Panhandle counties, lumped in with “specific evidence”.
While Lee and Darryl say the Panhandle wasn’t discussed, it was lumped in with Olbermann’s screed on electronic voting and Dopp’s “analysis”. While Olbermann allowed the Cincinnati reporter to babble on with her discussion, Olbermann never went back and fact checked. This is something you and others love to scream about BIll O’Reilly on HA Libtardos. When Puddy says it’s part of Olbermann’s conspiracy theory, some short hairs (yours included) got burned.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
What Puddy thinks is also interesting is the http://www.ustogether.org web site posts errors. If the data was so credible and was used by Olbermann for his multiple screeds, why is the web site gone. If this was great evidence of electronic voter fraud, it should still be there unless, of course, Dopp figgered it out the Stanford, Harvard and Cornell people were right and allowed the web site to post the error?
Web site error #1 – “This site has been temporarily disabled due to a problem.
If you are the owner of the site, please click here to correct the problem.”
Web site error #2 – To restore access to your account, you must login to your control panel. There will be a message at the top of the control panel indicating the nature of the problem. Follow the directions in your control panel and your site will return in the next 15 minutes.
If you do not know your control panel password, you can have your password sent to you.”
Why did it lapse into error? Only God knows.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Lee, just because you don’t think Olbermann’s conspiracy theory of voting irregularities in Florida Panhandle through electronic voting issues doesn’t meet a conspiracy, doesn’t mean you are right. ‘Here is what Puddy wrote
The New York Times, traced the origin of Olbermann’s Florida panhandle story in an article entitled “Vote Fraud Theories, Spread by Blogs, Are Quickly Buried”.’
But, but, but, Puddy, when you preceded the above statement by, “Here’s the kicker…” I was expecting a smoking gun. Instead I found no mention of Olbermann, no mention of the CI reporter Solvig, minimal mention of the MSM. The article was, in essence, about how influential blogs were in raising alarm bells.
What was this a “kicker” for, and how does it support your claim that Olbermann was promoting conspiracy theories about voting irregularities in Florida?
I’m still trying to figure out how “Olbermann’s Florida Panhandle Conspiracy Theory” has anything to do with Olbermann (I mean beside one brief mention by a guest reporter who was discussing multiple anomalies). Evidence please? Where has Olbermann even mentioned the Panhandle issue???? Anywhere?
“Puddy didn’t say there weren’t real voting abnormalities in Florida.”
You missed the point. Earlier in this thread you said:
This thread has subsequently shown that Olbermann didn’t utter a word about the Panhandle issue. I merely pointed out that there were, indeed, irregularities in Florida. Therefore, there is nothing conspiratorial about Olbermann discussing voting anomalies in Florida (especially when he is interviewing a Congressman who called for a GAO investigation based, in part, by concerns over Florida).
“Regarding the Solvig quote Puddy used above, yes Solvig said it. Olbermann never refuted it or even fact checked it. He allowed it to go into the night unchecked. So he agreed with her assessment.”
LOL…you’re a HOOT Puddy! This is what it boils down to?????? The Great Olbermann Florida Panhandle Conspiracy Theory Promotion™ amounts to Olbermann saying nothing about something someone else said. WOW!!!!!
And then you offer this quote from the NYT article:
So…after the Olbermann broadcast we learn that there are still researchers looking into it, a call for GAO investigation by 6 congresscritters, and the NYT is even covering the controversy. Doesn’t that simply validate Olbermann’s previous coverage of the voting anomalies and even, to some extent, the CI Reporter’s brief mention of the Panhandle issue?
So…if there is Olbermann Conspiracy Promotion, please provide the quotes where he does said promotion.
“Olbermann: “And in Cuyahoga County, that is greater Cleveland, the official records of 29 different voting precincts show more votes than registered voters to a total of 93,000 extra votes in that county alone[….]
NY Times article”[…]That turned out to be an error in how the votes were reported by the department, not in the counting.”
Did Olbermann ever go back and report the Cleveland error was a mistake.”
Wait. What? Now you are expanding your conspiracy theory to the Ohio vote?!!?! After scolding me about it above? LOL!!!!!
So, where is the conspiracy???? Did Olbermann EVER mention the Cuyahoga County “more votes than voters” issue AFTER the reporting error was discovered? I mean, before the reporting error was discovered, you have to admit, it was real news, no?
“Did Olbermann ever go back and report the Cleveland error was a mistake. NOPE!”
Once again…Olbermann promotes conspiracies through silence!!!! ROTFL!!
“And all through this thread Darryl is “trying” take Puddy to task for identifying Olbermann’s conspiracy theory on Florida Panhandle counties when we all can see even his comments about Cleveland, Ohio were never retracted.”
But, but, but, Puddy…I’m still “stinging” from your rebuke above:
Ok…so now you are backtracking on that. Fine.
BTW: Are you surrendering on the Florida Panhandle Conspiracy Theory Promotion angle, Puddy?
So, for your latest conspiracy theory promotion theory please cite examples of Olbermann PROMOTING the Ohio voting conspiracy theory (by definition, this means reporting it or discussing it AFTER the election reporting errors became known).
I await your evidence with great anticipation.
YLB spews:
This is classic Stupes logic. He said Hillary Clinton believed in Eugenics because she said she was a progressive in the early 1900’s mold or something like that.
When I pointed out that there’s NOTHING in Hillary’s public speaking or Senate legislative record that advocates sterilizing people or other eugenics type “solutions” – Stupes responds that Hillary never said she was against those things.
In other words when someone says they’re a progressive like Teddy Roosevelt was they must say they’re against eugenics otherwise they are for it.
LUNACY!!!
Why do we even bother with a paranoid idiot like this? I guess the laughs are worth it.
Darryl spews:
Puddy @ 166,
“Lee, just because you don’t think Olbermann’s conspiracy theory of voting irregularities in Florida Panhandle through electronic voting issues doesn’t meet a conspiracy, doesn’t mean you are right.”
But we have seen no evidence that Olbermann ever mentioned the Florida Panhandle issue. It was was briefly mentioned by a CI reporter in Olbermann’s presence, shortly after the election, before the outcome of any subsequent investigations. What we need from you, Puddy, are quotes promoting the Panhandle theory AFTER the analyses were in.
“Puddy supposes you reject the analysis of Cornell, Harvard and Stanford on all of Florida too while Olbermann continued to harp on it in later shows.”
Correction: the letter did not falsify all of the voting anomalies in Florida.
More to the point, when the CI reporter mentioned the Panhandle issue, the analysis by political scientists from Cornell, Harvard and Stanford had not been reported on by the MSM. So unless the CI reporter could see into the future and know the email would be posted on a blog, it is difficult to use her mention as evidence for a conspiracy theory!
So…show us the quotes where “Olbermann continued to harp on” debunked theories (AFTER they have been debunked, please).

Since I don’t actually watch Olbermann on TV (no cable), and I only see a fraction of his broadcast via YouTube excerpts, there is a very good chance I did not see the broadcast/clip to which you are referring.
So, please link to a clip or transcript of Olbermann’s statements and try to explain (in plain English, please) how you believe his statements are consistent with promotion of a conspiracy theory.
YLB spews:
Stupes passed the following gas:
Where did Olbermann reference Florida? What links?
Is it those “shows” you mention in 127? You keep saying he “harped” on it in “later shows” like in comment 166. I wonder. Two of those “shows”, November 14 and November 17 didn’t happen or at least Keith wasn’t on those shows because HE WAS ON VACATION. He did keep on blogging though. Right here:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/63.....n/#041114a
There’s NO MENTION of Dopp or ustogether on those blogs.
We can settle this if you can provide links to those “later shows”. We can then properly fact-check your bullshit. I admit I’m having trouble finding transcripts of the “later shows”.
Conspiracy “proved”? Hardly..
YLB spews:
On fact checking Stupes. I found a good website with an index of KO transcripts:
Nov 3. show: 6407063 The day after the election. WTF? This counts as evidence of CT promoting one day after the election? Not many mentions of Florida. No mention of Dopp and ustogether.
Nov 10. show: 6460868 No mention of Dopp and ustogether.
Nov 14 show: NO SHOW. That’s a freaking Sunday! How fucking braindead is Stupes on this?
Nov 17 show: 6521211 Keith is on vacation. Allison Stewart guest hosts. No mention of voting issues in florida or Dopp or ustogether. Heh. A little of discussion of Dino Lossi and WA though. We all know how that turned out.
Nov 30 show: 6630174 / No mention of Dopp or ustogether. Only one mention of Florida in 2000 – by guest Jesse Jackson.
Dec 10 show: 6707407 / Again no mention of Dopp, ustogether or Florida. Even the idiot who runs the Olbermann watch website complains that Keith only devotes 2 minutes to the issue.
Stupes – you FAILED again… YOU ARE FULL OF SHIT…
Darryl spews:
Puddy,
Thanks for the links and whatnot. (Sorry about the comment being caught in the moderation filter for awhile):
This is the same broadcast that we have been discussing. I believe we have clearly established that this is simply reporting (that is, the broadcast occurred prior to any analysis of the anomalies).
Why bother? Nov. 9 is still prior to any known analysis/debunking of the Florida anomalies. You can’t promote a conspiracy theory before it becomes a conspiracy theory!
Your quote is incorrect. There was no mention of any Florida voting issue in the link given.
So…less than three weeks after the election, Olbermann covers a just-released statistical analysis from a well known demographer (an elected member of the National Academy of Sciences). So far, this is ordinary news, and ordinary reporting of the news.
So, in order for this to be a conspiracy theory, the paper must be debunked, followed by Olbermann “promoting” it post-debunking.
When was the paper definitively debunked?
And, then, when did Olbermann promoting the paper after the debunk date?
Puddybud…you got the quote wrong. Olbermann did raise the Berkeley study issue again on December 6th, and clarified an erroneous interpretation by others:
Puddy, I’m ROTFLMAO!!!!
What you cited as evidence of Olbermann promoting a conspiracy theory is actually Olbermann actually, in part, KNOCKING DOWN a potential conspiracy theory based on misunderstanding the Berkeley paper!
That doesn’t support your conspiracy theory promotion claim.
There was NOT ONE mention of Florida on Olbermann’s January 18th blog post. However he does mention Florida on other dates (same link) in his blog.
Let’s see…on Dec. 30th he put up “Conyers’ letter today […] addressed to Democratic Senator Barbara” that mentions the 2000 Florida election. 2000 election???
That doesn’t support your claim.
On Dec 21st, he writes about Florida:
Oops…wrong election (2000 again), and Olbermann is clearly discouraging conspiracy!
That doesn’t support your thesis, Puddy.
On Dec 13th, Olbermann blogs about the Ohio SOS and, in doing so, quotes someone else comparing Ohio to Florida in 2000. Damn… wrong election, again.
That doesn’t support your hypothesis, Puddy.
Finally, on Dec 6th Olbermann mentions Florida:
Hmmm…that doesn’t seem like Olbermann promoting the Panhandle Conspiracy Theory of any type.
Puddy, you apparently didn’t read or evaluate any of the “continual mentions of Florida” in the last link.
I think you are being fundamentally dishonest by posting a link that supposedly supports your thesis, that you haven’t even read!
In the future, please (correctly) quote relevant material and briefly explain how it supports your claim.
Hopefully, you will actually get to some conspiracy-promoting quotations…
YLB spews:
Nice knockdown Darryl.
Obviously Stupes is big fan of the hater who runs that Olbermann watch website – that’s why he got so jacked on the Kathy Dopp stuff. That website guy went on a looney tangent about her.
Stupes, face it. When you’re desperate – you furiously pull shit out of your ugly ass. Well we took the time to fact check your bullshit.
AND YOU ARE SHREDDED!
Marvin Stamn spews:
Wow, that’s a lot of people getting props for finally winning an argument against Puddy.
If not for the greatness of Puddy, why else would it take so many people to “nail” him.
YLB spews:
Greatness? Great bullshit artist. He first throws up a lot of shit on the wall to see what sticks. After all the easy crap falls off the wall, he wails, name-calls, lies – anything but concede that he’s full of shit to begin with.

Darryl when Puddy wrote
Puddy was being facetious. What? You can’t see sarcasm from us who think right?
This thread has subsequently shown that Olbermann didn’t utter a word about the Panhandle issue. He didn’t deny it anywhere in any nighhtly commentary either Darryl. Butt, that doesn’t count to Darryl. Just throw something out there November 8 and let it ride every night mentioning it over and over.
Darryl said
Which later were discounted by Harvard, Cornell and Stanford Universities. So who do you trust Darryl? Harvard Cornell Stanford or some person who Olbermann brings on and he never disagrees with them? Puddy will be watching HA Libtardos very carefully for the next Bill O’Reilly rant.
Next my professor friend, you are chronologically wrong. WandFlorida2004.PDF was first published on November 11. Olbermann’s next rant was November 12, did he go on the air and mention new information? Nope. Even after the NY Times article? Nope.
Mr. Cynical spews:
Puddy is correct….again!

Puddybud,
“Yep Lee, Olbermann wasn’t “promoting” Florida irregularities and conspiracies.
Puddy was being facetious. What? You can’t see sarcasm from us who think right?”
WTF??? Yes…I recognize the sarcasm. Why bring this quote up?
“This thread has subsequently shown that Olbermann didn’t utter a word about the Panhandle issue.”
Abso-fucking-lutely! I agree.
“He didn’t deny it anywhere in any nighhtly commentary either Darryl.”
Agreed. But this seem totally irrelevant. (1) It wasn’t debunked, (2) he didn’t say it, (3) is was one of numerous things mentioned by the CI reporter.
“Butt, that doesn’t count to Darryl.”
Irrelevant. What it doesn’t do is demonstrate “Olbermann promoting a conspiracy,” which is your claim.
“Just throw something out there November 8 and let it ride every night mentioning it over and over.”
Wait…we just established that Olbermann never mentioned the Panhandle issue. And you have show no evidence that he subsequently discussed any such issue after it had been debunked.
“Darryl said, “I merely pointed out that there were, indeed, irregularities in Florida.”
Which later were discounted by Harvard, Cornell and Stanford Universities.”
As I pointed out, there were actual voting irregularities in Florida that were real and considered facutal. Some of the voting irregularities were, indeed, debunked.
So who do you trust Darryl? Harvard Cornell Stanford or some person who Olbermann brings on and he never disagrees with them?”
Irrelevant. It isn’t about trust. It is about evidence. When Olbermann’s guest made her statement, there were NO studies that contradicted the statement.
“Puddy will be watching HA Libtardos very carefully for the next Bill O’Reilly rant.”
???? Relevance to the discussion?
“Next my professor friend, you are chronologically wrong. WandFlorida2004.PDF was first published on November 11.”
Please cite your evidence for this. The web site on which the paper is posted does not offer a web publication date. And the paper itself is unclear about posting date: “FIRST VERSION: NOV 11, 2004; THIS VERSION: NOVEMBER 15, 2004; VERSION 0.2”
“Olbermann’s next rant was November 12, did he go on the air and mention new information?”
Several points.
(1) The link you previously provided shows no evidence that Olberman mentioned Florida election on Nov 12.
(2) I have repeatedly used verbiage like “picked up by the MSM” when referring to web sites or studies. This is because such information must come into some public recognition. Otherwise, how the fuck would Olbermann know about a working paper published on some professor’s web site?
“Nope. Even after the NY Times article? Nope.”
Again, if your link above is correct, Olbermann did not undertake a discussion about the Florida anomalies that was contradicted by the Times article or the Wand paper.
Puddy. Discounting your wacky “promoting conspiracy theories by never saying anything about it” theory, you have shown NO evidence whatsoever that Keith Olbermann has promoted 2004 election conspiracy theories of any type.
Please try harder.
Darryl spews:
Puddybud,
“Now that the administration is removing the application link page, all the comments from Lee and Darryl on Glenn Beck’s “conspiracy” and others…”?

You have made shit up.
You have talked out of your ass.

Steve spews:
@216 This whole thread reeks of wingnut desperation.
It occurs to me that, while the likes of Puddy may struggle with accepting their current lack of political relevance, we on the left also have a difficult time accepting just how fucking irrelevant these freaks have become. It’s not like it’s still 2005 or something.
YLB spews:

I agree it’s a little misplaced. We should be supporting or cajoling our Congress critters at town halls on health care rather than beating a poor fool like Stupes over his tendency to talk out of his silly ass.
These morons (probably paid lackeys of the insurance industry) are right now harassing Congress critters.

Puddy went on offense when Puddy placed the Olbermann conspiracies here. Darryl and Lee got all defensive while Puddy stayed on offense.
You have yet to point to a single instance of Keith Olbermann promoting a conspiracy theory. You’ve given an example of a guest on his show getting facts wrong (not the same) and you’ve given a few examples of him reporting on things that were actually true.
Are you going to give us an example here or are you going to break the world record for retardation?

Ok, ok.. Let’s see it from your k/b now. What specifically in the Nov 14 blog posting was “discredited” and KO repeated after it was discredited?

YLB spews:
232 – Uhhh Stupes. I looked at all those “shows” you mentioned in 127 including the no show on Nov 14 that was really a blog posting.

So what? This person would not be the first person to be full of shit on Fox News. It’s still abundantly clear that Glenn Beck was peddling a conspiracy theory, by intentionally misrepresenting the nature of a legal disclaimer. Again, when has Keith Olbermann done anything even remotely similar to that?
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:

Lee if it was a conspiracy theory why did the administration take down the wording from the Cars application? You lose! No conspiracy theory.

Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Golly Lee you are stupid. It must be over toking.
As a manager, anything any one of my employees wrote or said came back to me as their boss. The same thing happened with my bosses. Hence Puddy made sure things written or orally said was backed up so Puddy could support his people.
Maybe someday you’ll be a manager and understand what “blessing comments” means fool!
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:

Well, your first attempt was a chronological failure. Puddy don’t need to get a database. Your crap is readily available.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Dude, Olbermann peddled it. Puddy displayed it but your fragile ego won’t admit it.
Darryl spews:
Puddybud,
“Uhhh Darryl, the MSNBC site search included the Nov 14th date on my search.”
You fucking IDIOT! I wasn’t disputing whether or not a fucking DATE shows up here (your link). I want to know where Olbermann discusses the 2004 election results in Florida on that date. He doesn’t.
” Man you guys are reaching now that the administration is removing the bad page from it’s web site.”
More psycho-babble from the Pudster. I’ve not had anything to say about “bad page[s]”.
Lee spews:
@244
Lee if it was a conspiracy theory why did the administration take down the wording from the Cars application?
Because there were enough idiots like you who thought it was something it wasn’t. I don’t care that they took it down. It was a legal disclaimer that was meant primarily to cover their own ass. It almost certainly doesn’t change any of the technical aspects of how the application works and what the government can do when a person is logged onto the system.
Your whole conspiracy premise went out the window when the administration dropped that page.
Absolutely not. Beck still insisted that the warning was on the cars.gov website (which it wasn’t) and clearly insinuated that it was an attempt to take over individual computers (which it’s not). What part of this are you having trouble understanding?
If it was a conspiracy the administration would have come out in the daily briefing and said Glenn Beck was wrong.
ROTFL!!!! I’m not arguing that it’s really a conspiracy, you moron!! I’m arguing that it’s not, but that Beck is promoting it as one. And you’re agreeing with me that it’s not a conspiracy. LOL!!
They didn’t say Glenn Beck was wrong. They took down the page.
The fact that they took down the page doesn’t mean that Glenn Beck wasn’t wrong. If you don’t understand that, maybe I can find a small child to explain it to you. ROTFL!!
Again, are you going to give us an instance of Olbermann peddling a conspiracy theory, or are you going to keep humiliating yourself?
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
BTW since the administration is removing the offending wording from the web page, there goes Lee’s “conspiracy” right down the toilet where most of Lee’s best thoughts go daily.
Lee spews:
@246
Maybe someday you’ll be a manager and understand what “blessing comments” means fool!
LOL!!
Olbermann and guest aren’t a manager and employee. Holy shit, you can’t possibly be that stupid. No fucking way.
Dude, Olbermann peddled it.
Peddled what? You haven’t even come close to providing an instance of Olbermann peddling a conspiracy theory. Not even close.
Pathetic.
Dance, monkey, dance!
Lee spews:
@251
BTW since the administration is removing the offending wording from the web page, there goes Lee’s “conspiracy” right down the toilet where most of Lee’s best thoughts go daily.
Again, incorrect. The conspiracy was that the disclaimer was on cars.gov and therefore the warning applied to anyone participating in the program. This was dead wrong. The fact that they removed the page from the dealer app is unrelated.
Again, I can find a small child to explain this to you if it’s too difficult.
Dance, monkey, dance!
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Oh Lee such a fucking idiot.
The administration didn’t say Glenn Beck was wrong. The administration didn’t say was NOT an attempt to take over individual computers. They took down the wording. What part of this are you having trouble understanding?
Darryl spews:
Puddy @ 230,
“Which was reduced to rubble by Stanford Harvard and Cornell.”
You’re mistaken. All of the Florida voting anomalies were not “reduced to rubble.”
But it hardly matters. Please show me where Olbermann was promoting a “conspiracy theory” AFTER that theory had been reduced to rubble.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Lee is still a fucking idiot.
Did you fergit the whack job Kos TV link you placed here? Let Puddy help you while you inhale…
Direct from the Kos Web site what Glenn Beck actually said…
“This application provides access to the DOT CARS system. When logged on to the CARS system, your computer is considered a federal computer system and it is property of the United States Government. Or — any or all uses of this system and all files on this system may be intercepted, monitored, recorded, copied, audited, inspected, and disclosed to authorized CARS, DOT, law enforcement personnel, as well as authorized officials of other agencies, both domestic and foreign.”
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Darryl@255: Why? Puddy has placed this up before and you rejected it…
But rebuttals to the Florida fraud hypothesis were just as quick. Three political scientists, from Cornell, Harvard and Stanford, pointed out, in an e-mail message to a Web site that carried the news of Ms. Dopp’s findings, that many of those Democratic counties in Florida have a long tradition of voting Republican in presidential elections. And while Ms. Dopp says that she and dozens of other researchers will continue to analyze the Florida vote, the suggestion of a link between certain types of voting machines and the vote split in Florida has, at least for now, little concrete support.
Darryl spews:
Puddy @ 231
“Because Darryl doesn’t remember what he places as entries above. You highlighted that in your post #192. Man, it’s tough debating you when you leave your mind somewhere else.”
You’re mistaken, Puddy. YOU WROTE 192, NOT ME. Please get a grip!
(Oh…and I still have no idea what that was all about. It seems really, really off-task.)
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Wow Lee is calling Puddy a monkey now…
Sorry Lee there is nothing in God’s universe which Puddy can use to describe you and your stupidity here.

The administration didn’t say Glenn Beck was wrong. The administration didn’t say was NOT an attempt to take over individual computers. They took down the wording. What part of this are you having trouble understanding?
I don’t care what the Administration said, I care what the truth is. The truth is that the disclaimer was not on the cars.gov site and did not affect any of the cars for clunkers consumers. Glenn Beck was peddling a conspiracy theory based upon evidence he absolutely should have known was false.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Darryl, Puddy meant #178. You highlighted it. Puddy responded.
Lee spews:
@256
It was for the dealer application, not the cars.gov website.
Again, are you retarded?
Lee spews:
@257
That’s irrelevant since Olbermann never personally insinuated that any of the anomalies were part of a conspiracy (as Beck did in the broadcast linked at the top of this post).
Dance, monkey, dance!
Lee spews:
@264
Wow Lee is calling Puddy a monkey now…
Can’t say you haven’t earned it this time!!
Dance, monkey, dance!
Lee spews:
Again, Puddy, still waiting for evidence of Keith Olbermann (or Bill Maher) peddling a conspiracy theory. I’m not going anywhere. I have to think that if you haven’t come up with one by now, you’re not going to.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Puddy realizes Lee lives in wonderland with wondermoron butt here is the screen shot from cars.gov…
Again your “conspiracy theory” is debunked…
Lee spews:
Oh yeah,
Dance, monkey, dance!
Lee spews:
@266
ROTFL!!!!!!
Look at the URL on that picture!
Does it say cars.gov moron????
LOL!!!
Lee spews:
@266
Dance, monkey, dance!!
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Another of Lee’s favrit attacks on facts from us whom think right is
Well try to prove post #266 is irrelevant.
Darryl spews:
Puddybud,
“Again again again, Olbermann had it on his show when the Enquirer reporter discussed it and he blessed it.”
You are off-topic again. You are supposed to be showing evidence of Olbermann PROMOTING A CONSPIRACY THEORY.
We have already established that on Nov 8, when Olbermann had is guest on, the Panhandle report was simply news. It wasn’t “debunked” at that point.
I guess you just aren’t up to the task today, huh?
“You and others attack Bill O’Reilly when he has something on his show you disagree with, yet you give a pass to Olbermann when pointed out he does the same thing. Hypocrite at the Nth degree.”
Irrelevant. All you are doing is picking some bones about a little bit of one guest’s statement. You are supposed to be showing Olbermann promoting a conspiracy theory.
Lee spews:
@266
Wow, you really are the stupidest person on Earth.
Holy fucking shit. You actually just posted visual evidence proving what I’m saying.
ROTFL!!!
Lee spews:
@266
Well try to prove post #266 is irrelevant.
ROTFL!!!!
Stop it man, I’m peeing my pants here!!!
You posted a picture proving that the disclaimer is not on the cars.gov website!!!
Again, are you retarded?
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Oh Lee, when you log into a site sometimes the site will take you to another site for authorization. Puddy’s VPN link always did that. Usually it’s a DMZ to ensure fools like you are not hacking the real site.
Apparently your “coding skillz” prove how much of a real computer moron you are. Notice the Cars with the Car symbol.
Butt wait Lee missed that!
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Darryl, WTF?
Simply news. He mentioned Florida again after the Nov 12 NY Times and Cornell, Harvard and Stanford comments.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Wow Lee Pizzed his pants when he saw the Cars logo and read the words.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:

Lee spews:
Oh Lee, when you log into a site sometimes the site will take you to another site for authorization. Puddy’s VPN link always did that. Usually it’s a DMZ to ensure fools like you are not hacking the real site.
Then it’s not the same site, is it? The point is that average people on the cars.gov site don’t ever go to that page, only the dealers who participate in a program run from a different website. Glenn Beck did not say that, even though it would have been obvious to anyone who’d gone to that site.
ROTFL!!!
Again, are you retarded?
Lee spews:
@277
It’s still not the cars.gov website, it’s a separate application for dealers only.
Again, are you retarded?
Dance, monkey, dance!
Lee spews:
Again, Puddy, still waiting for you to give us a single conspiracy theory from either Bill Maher or Keith Olbermann. Just one.
YOU. CAN. DO. IT!
Dance, monkey, dance!
Darryl spews:
Puddybud,
“Darryl@255: Why? Puddy has placed this up before and you rejected it…”
I think you are responding to my point that not all voting anomalies had been dispatched. You then give an example of ONE PARTICULAR TYPE OF ANOMALY. There were many other (mostly minor) anomalies. That was the point.
I don’t dispute that Ms. Dopp’s findings were discredited. But only after Olbermann’s guest made her famous comment.
Your task is to show where Olbermann perpetuated the argument AFTER it was discredited.
Thus far, you HAVEN’T SHOWN ONE INSTANCE OF OLBERMANN DISCUSSING MS. DOPP’S FINDINGS OR THE PANHANDLE ISSUE.
Please…try to wrap your head around the proper task.
Lee spews:
My little boy just woke up from his nap. I’ll be back in the morning to see the end of this trainwreck.
Dance, monkey, dance!
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Apparently Lee accepts anything from Daily Kook-aid web site. http://www.cars.gov/ dealer links on the right side.
ROTFL!!!
Again, are you retarded? No Lee just stupid.
Another TJ spews:
Lee @ 268,
Look at the URL on that picture!
I’m more interested in the racist commentary above it:
“Check out this screen grab taken by one of our Sons of Liberty. How much more proof do Americans need that Hussein Obama is an African dictator who wants to seize control of all facets of our lives? Czars, who are hyper-Commisars who answer only to Hussein and who apparently believ they have extra-legal powers that go far beyond Constitutional definitions. Hussein wants to create a private army, his “citizens army.” This guy’s starting to look scarier that Mobutu sese Seko. Or maybe Laurent Kabila, who butchered so many in Congo after Mobuto hit the highway. I’m waiting for Hussein to start wearing a leopard-skin cap, or perhaps to practice cannibalism like Idi Amin Dada. Makes you wonder if Hollywood is truly part of the conspiracy and that’s why they made the film The Last King of Scotland.”
Stay classy, conservatives!
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Puddy tried to explain how a DMZ works and Lee writes
Maybe a leftard can explain to Lee how DMZs work and he’ll listen to one of you. OR maybe Lee is just plain stupid in real computer security matters.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Maybe another total jerk can explain how DMZs and computer security works to Lee. OR maybe Lee is just plain stupid in real computer security matters.
Darryl spews:
Puddybud @ 261,
“Darryl, Puddy meant #178. You highlighted it. Puddy responded.”
Thank you for clarifying. I wrote a lot in 178 and I don’t see anything relevant to your sarcastic statement.
Wait…maybe you misunderstood my statement:
That wasn’t based on your sarcastic statement. That was based on the fact that you were switching the topic to Ohio.
It looked like you had given up on showing conspiracy promotion by Olbermann for Florida.
Darryl spews:
Puddybud @ 275
“Simply news. He mentioned Florida again after the Nov 12 NY Times and Cornell, Harvard and Stanford comments.”
Then why won’t you provide a quotation or a link to it?
Specifically: Show where Olbermann mentions the Panhandle issue after the Nov 12th NY Times article.
Note: The mere mention of the state of Florida doesn’t count. You must show where Olbermann was actively promoting an issue that had been genuinely discredited, after it had been discredited.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Daily Kook-aid said it was esc.gov.
Well esc.gov is
http://www.esc.gov gives US Department of Transportation Enterprise Services Center (ESC) for the Federal Aviation Administration.
Way to go Daily Kooks. Lee drank their Kook-aid again.
Steve spews:
@284 Good Lord! That site is totally whack! Did you look at some of that other stuff on there like their “declaration of freedom”? Holy shit! Puddy is keeping some really strange company.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Darryl,
Thanks for finally accepting that Darryl
YLB spews:
Well I’ve been gone for an hour or so and
Stupes still hasn’t posted ONE example from the shows he’s cited of Olbermann promoting CT.
Instead he’s been declaring victory for Glen Beck AGAIN WITHOUT citing anything to back it up – that I can see anyway.
Please someone point out a link in one of his comments that I can fact check. Most likely it doesn’t exist.
YLB spews:
Wow! Ok fool now tell us where KO promoted it past the pull date..
You can’t can you?
Montanto spews:
Looks like the whole Beck cash for car thing must be a liberal conspiracy, Olbermann just mocked it.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/#32276878
Darryl spews:
Puddybud @ 289,
“Daily Kook-aid said it was esc.gov.
Well esc.gov is
http://www.esc.gov gives US Department of Transportation Enterprise Services Center (ESC) for the Federal Aviation Administration.”
Umm…I have no interest in the Beck issue, but I have to jump in here to say, this is one of your more idiotic statements in a thread jam packed with your idiotic statements.
http://www.esc.gov is a subdomain of esc.gov. So technically the site is at esc.gov.
Also, the text you quote isn’t from esc.gov. That came from you web browser. esc.gov simply returned a 404 error.
“Way to go Daily Kooks. Lee drank their Kook-aid again.”
Huh? This is what you are reduced to, Puddy? Quibbling over whether Kos fully specified the URL ? THAT IS FUCKING PATHETIC!
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Steve, Steve, Steve, Puddy had to find a web site which actually has the picture. Puddy doesn’t agree with the commentary, Puddy was looking for the actual picture.
Darryl spews:
Puddybud @ 291,
Thanks for finally accepting that Darryl”
Finally?!?! LOL, Puddy! I never disputed it.
But, now that we have more of a mutual understanding, please finish your task.
Please show us where Olbermann promotes the Panhandle analysis as correct AFTER it was known to be discredited.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Darryl, working on it now. Puddy notices the Ned Lamont issue was dropped by your side, so it has to be a “conspiracy”. Poor poor rudeASS is saying Connecticut voters were swayed by a president who they didn’t vote for in 2000 or 2004. What a moron.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Oh lookie here clueless wondermoron appears again.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Darryl direct from Daily Kooks…
“Daily Kos — Before you play the video of Glenn Beck’s latest loony-tunes conspiracy theory, keep in mind that it’s totally nuts. Here’s the key information debunking it: If you are a consumer visiting cars.gov (the “cash for clunkers” website) the Federal government cannot take control over your computer, nor will it ask permission to do so. The “Terms of Use” statement to which Beck refers in this clip is not from cars.gov. Rather it is a login page for dealer transactions located at esc.gov.”
For esc.gov – No web site is configured for this address.
Don Joe spews:
Wow. 300+ comments of Puddy having his ass handed to him by someone other than Don Joe.
I gotta say, Puddy, reality will become much more clear to you once you get your head out of that elephant’s ass.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Darryl
esc.gov? http://www.robtex.com/dns/esc.gov.html
esc.gov? http://www.robtex.com/dns/tc.faa.gov.html
cars.gov? http://www.robtex.com/dns/cars.gov.html
Interesting data…
Don Joe spews:
I have to say that one of the funniest Puddy bumbles here is where he first tries to talk about network DMZ’s and then complains that “esc.gov” without the implicit “www.” prefix doesn’t have a proper DNS entry.
Yeah. Puddy really knows about network DMZ’s.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Don Joe never great to see you. How is Puddy’s ass handed to him? Puddy sparing with six libtardos right now…
YLB spews:
Nope Lee handled it. It’s plain obvious to anyone with a brain that your chimp used terror alerts for political gain. Ridge confirmed many he disagreed with.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Oh really Don Joe. Puddy complains? You’re nuts too.
Don Joe, apparently you aren’t reading much. Better go back and see what Lee proffered. Then see the robtex values. Puddy knows more about DMZs than you’ll ever see. Trying to explain it to a total computer moron is a difficult task.
Look at http://horsesass.org/ where is the www fool? So much for your foolishness. Butt that’s the line from Olbermann, Bush crying about terraism swayed Connecticut voters.
YLB spews:
We still haven’t seen an example of KO promoting Dopp past the pull date.
None of those shows or KO blogs you posted support anything you’ve claimed that I can see.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
clueless wondermoron Lee didn’t handle anything and you’re too stupid to comprehend it. He tried to slough it off. No where can he prove the Connecticut voters were swayed by GW Bush, a president they didn’t vote for.
YLB spews:
Don’t need it fool. The DNS is set up properly.
Not the case with esc.gov.
You really thought you could sneak that past us.
Nice try.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Wow clueless wondermoron, Darryl does the work and you join in?
No wonder your are a monomaniacal clueless wondermoron.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
clueless wondermoron…
You are saying that? Really? Shocking.
http://www.robtex.com/dns/www.esc.gov.html
http://www.robtex.com/dns/esc.gov.html
give the same IP Address results. Puddy truly hopes you are not in the computer field. Otherwise you must be unemployed.
Don Joe spews:
@ 303
How is Puddy’s ass handed to him?
Well, let’s see:
1) People pointing out possible voting anomalies is not a conspiracy. Where’s the allegation that some hidden cabal of people actually caused the anomalies? Not in anything you’ve quoted or cited.
2) Your most compelling argument in support of your claim that Olbermann promoted some kind of conspiracy regarding such voting irregularities is that Olbermann dropped the issue after the anomalies had been explained. Only someone who has his head firmly ensconced in an elephants ass could reasonably try to argue that you can promote something by not talking about it at all!
3) See the above where I just caught you with your rhetorical pants around your ankles for having tried to bullshit everyone here about network DMZ’s.
Pretty typical Puddy bullshitting rant if you ask me. You still can’t argue your way out of a wet paper bag.
YLB spews:
Idiot @ 307
The CT Dems were mad enough at JL to hand the nomination to Ned in an August primary.
By Nov too many wanted their incumbent Senior Senator to stay where he was. Including *gasp* Republicans. The Republicans did as they were told by chimpie and Papa Rove – typical..
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Wow clueless wondermoron, Olbermann claimed it was GWBush saying Dummocrapts were soft on terraism. You are proposing sumtin completely different.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Don Joe really farts:
Still looking for that information you “supplied”. The http://www.esc.gov and esc.gov both resolve to the same IP Address. Butt when you try and go for it from your web broswer you can’t get there. Kos claims it was from esc.gov but doesn’t tell you how they figgered that out.
Don Joe spews:
@ 305
Puddy, don’t try to baffle everyone here with more bullshit. You and I both know that the reason “horsesass.org” works without the “www.” prefix is due to the way DNS look up entries are set up for the web site.
Now, here’s where your rhetorical pants are down around your ankles. If web sites in the “esc.gov” domain are generally DMZ’d, do you think that might be a reason to not have a DNS entry for just the “esc.gov” domain?
Oh, and one other detail, since you’re getting your undies in a bundle about “esc.gov” vs. “www.esc.gov”, neither the bare domain nor “www.esc.gov” are accurate restatements of the actual URL in the picture you linked.
So, if Daily Kos is FoS for referring to just the bare “esc.gov” domain, then Puddy is also FoS for talking about “www.esc.gov” when that’s not the URL in question.
Yet another Puddy epic fail in a thread that has so many Puddy epic fails that just about everyone is losing count.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Puddy turning in as Puddy is much later than you tards are. See in the morning. The conversation will continue.
Don Joe spews:
@ 314
Still looking for that information you “supplied”.
And you’re sure as hell not going to find it while looking around inside that elephant’s rectum.
YLB spews:
310 – Ok.. Same ip address but a lot of gear can be in the way between the outside world and the web server.
For whatever reason the domain needs the www in the http header or whatever before the web server returns a proper response.
All immaterial. Your bullshit about kos doesn’t hold up.
http://www.esc.gov is REAL unlike your bullshit.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
As all can see Don Joe skipped over Puddy post #311.
So Don Joe another step into the Don Joe shitcan!
Even the wondermoron accepts they resolve to the same IP Address
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
clueless wondermoron@319, Puddy just blew you out of da water with facts and now you say that.
Toooooooooooooooooo
Damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnny
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Good night leftist fools.
YLB spews:
He’s running away. Coward. Where’s the CT example fool from all those shows you claimed where KO repeated it?
No “conspiracy proved”.
Liar.
YLB spews:
Stupes,
I’ve claimed since the beginning that you project your ugliness onto your ideological opponents.
Comment 320 proves it. TDF.
Thanks for playing…
Darryl spews:
Puddybud @ 300,
“For esc.gov – No web site is configured for this address.”
Ummm…Puddy, most Kos users are sophisticated enough to know to add a leading “www.” if the page isn’t found. Most sites don’t require it…some do.
For example, if told you go to americablog.com, I hope to hell you are smart enough to prepend the “www.” when the url doesn’t work.
Darryl spews:
Puddybud @ 317,
Oh man…I come back from cooking and eating dinner and you STILL have not shown where Olbermann is promoting a conspiracy theory.
Puddy…a little over 27 hours ago you said “Golly Lee that is easy.”
You have yet to deliver. And now it looks like we will have to wait another 8 hours or so.
Thirty five hours????
What were you thinking when you said, “Golly Lee that is easy”???
Don Joe spews:
@ 319
As all can see Don Joe skipped over Puddy post #311.
Um. #311 is my post. #310 is the post where Puddy points out that there is, indeed, a DNS entry for esc.gov, which points to the same address as http://www.esc.gov. Perhaps Puddy failed to read the part where “esc.gov” is a domain controlled by two name servers that are on different IP networks.
Any dipshit can look up a domain on a variety of “whois” type servers (I tend to prefer arin myself). What’s missing is Puddy talking about how this connects up with the concept of network DMZ’s and how the claim that Puddy made about network DMZ’s relates to the broader discussion of conspiracy theories. The funny part is where Puddy expects someone else (Another TJ in this particular case) to connect the dots on Puddy’s behalf.
Oh, and Puddy seems to have completely ignored the point I’d made at the end of 315, where I pointed out Puddy’s duplicity for taking Daily Kos to task for omitting the “www.” domain prefix when that domain prefix is not at issue.
Once again, Puddy mistakenly thinks I’ve challenged him on some trivial factual grounds, when, what I’ve really done, is blown his argument completely out of the water using the facts that Puddy has cited.
But, Puddy’s just plain too stupid to figure this out.
Rujax! spews:
He really is insane.
Don Joe spews:
Puddy @ 302
Well, it took a while for that one to come through. Interesting information indeed.
From the “a” record for cars.gov:
204.68.195.67
Apache/2.0.52 (Red Hat)
United States
From the “a” record for esc.gov:
162.58.35.231
Microsoft-IIS/5.0
United States
You still want to claim that these two are really the same web site? Or are you going to show that you have something more than a script kiddie’s knowledge of how network DMZ’s work? Perhaps you ought to go back to that picture, and take a closer look at the URL in the browser? In particular take a look at the protocol.
Don’t try to dazzle us with bullshit Puddy unless you’re really prepared to deliver the goods.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:

Where did Puddy say they the same web site Don Joe? In your leftist disabled mind? Maybe there is a internal site which provides the redirect to the authorization pane displayed above. But as all can see the CARS logo is all displayed there for all to see. This proves it’s part of the Cars site and not part of the FAA ESC site. Well maybe you are blind like Lee.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
golly clueless wondermoron, when the firefight starts you are never around. When the battle looks like your side could be winning you finally join in.
Proves you are a mental midget.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Darryl, you can see where Puddy is at. So back to the task at hand.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
You know if Don Joe paid attention to the thread at post #302 and #311 would he have to create post #329?
N O P E.
Don Joe is a moron and he skips over data which destroys his thought train.
Can you say train wreck? Train Wreck.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
BTW the so called “responses” to Olbermann’s conspiracy of terror alerts was laughable from the HA Duet.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Puddy supplies this direct from Olbermann’s site:
This is all that’s needed to say he mentioned it after November 12th.
All Darryl’s arguments around the December 6th doesn’t preclude Olbermann saying he was wrong about Florida in earlier shows.
Good try Darryl
Don Joe spews:
Apparently Puddy hasn’t figured out that his comment at 302 was hung up in the SPAM filter when I posted the comment at what is now 312. Puddy doesn’t figure this out, despite the rather obvious evidence in front of him, yet we’re supposed to think that Puddy has more complex concepts figured out?
And we’re all stil waiting for Puddy to give us a proper lecture on the role of network DMZs in this discussion.
Don Joe spews:
Puddy @ 336 spews:
This is all that’s needed to say he mentioned it after November 12th.
This is too funny. Puddy refers to an Olbermann blog post in which Olbermann says that a particular statistical study involving election results is way over Olbermann’s head, and the import of Olbermann’s statement with respect to the present discussion has gone way over Puddy’s head.
Let’s recap Puddy’s argument, shall we? A guest on Olbermann’s show mentions statistical anomalies in the Florida PANHANDLE. Over the course of November 2004 and into December 2004, there was a good bit of academic controversy over the meaning of various statistical results in Ohio and in all of Florida (not just the panhandle), and Olbermann reported on that controversy.
Yet, in Puddy’s mind, Olbermann’s continued reporting on a legitimate controversy constitutes clear and convincing proof that Olbermann was promoting some kind of conspiracy theory.
This is the kind of sloppy, incoherent rhetoric we’ve come to expect from Puddy. Puddy couldn’t string together a coherent argument if the lives of his children depended on it.
Lee spews:
@283
So two websites can’t be linked to one another without being the same site?
ROTFL!!!
Again, are you retarded?
Lee spews:
@331
Wow, you’re a complete moron. The page that you showed is not part of the cars.gov consumer site. It appears for dealers who are logging into a separate application that’s part of the whole cars for clunkers program. That’s why it has the logo.
For instance, a consumer could go to Microsoft’s website. A Microsoft employee could go to a separate website, which would also have the Microsoft logo on it, where they could log in and interact with an internal Microsoft application. That’s the distinction we’re dealing with here. It’s obvious that Beck intentionally blurred that distinction. That’s why I posted this, and it remains true.
Early on in this thread, I challenged anyone to point to an instance where Bill Maher or Keith Olbermann (in response to Mr. Cynical’s accusation) did anything similar to that. We’re approaching 350 comments here, and no one has even come close to doing so.
Lee spews:
@334
Can you say train wreck?
Oh, I can. And I have.
Dance, monkey, dance!
Lee spews:
@326
What were you thinking when you said, “Golly Lee that is easy”???
I’m not sure thinking is his strong suit.
YLB spews:
Hey Fiend,
Where’s the ONE example of CT promotion from KO from the “later shows” you bullshitted about?
You imply if not say outright it exists. It’s time to back up your bullshit.
Are you skeeeeeerrred?
Oh wait! 336! This is it???? LMAO!! A blog post???? About being floored by an academic study? This is CT promotion?
Was this Dopp? Was this ustogether? Anything to do with what the NY Times reported about blogs?
Was this a “later show”?
Such a pathetic FAILURE…
YLB spews:
And it comes out he’s being guided by MRC.
An ugly right wing bullshit outfit that herds right wing sheep and promotes paranoia about the “drive by” media.
Gee they didn’t do a very good job with K.O.
Not a single convincing example of CT promotion yet.
Conspiracy NOT proved.
Darryl spews:
Puddybud @ 336,
So…you are going to surrender by simply repeating the same thing over and over again?
You are being dishonest. Stop it.
Just admit that you were wrong, or rise to Lee’s challenge.
“This is all that’s needed to say he mentioned it after November 12th.”
Olbermann said nothing about the Florida Panhandle issue. As I said above, Olbermann was reporting on a just-released statistical analysis from a well known demographer (an elected member of the National Academy of Sciences).
This is ordinary news, not conspiracy theory promotion, dummy!
“All Darryl’s arguments around the December 6th doesn’t preclude Olbermann saying he was wrong about Florida in earlier shows.”
You are getting back into the “Conspiracy Theory Promotion Through Silence” bullshit.
Nobody is buying it, Puddy. It is wrong and you know it.
Come on, Puddy…where is Olbermann promoting conspiracy??? Let’s see it!
Darryl spews:
Don Joe @ 338
Nice summary of the situation “so far.”
YLB spews:
This little quip from comment 173 really sinks the silly one.

The administration removed the offending page from the Cars.Gov web site. Butt, butt, butt it’s not on the cars.gov web site so it really didn’t exist did it? The administration really didn’t place the page there. The administration really didn’t remove the page. It was a figment of their imagination.
Lee, Don Joe and Darryl, still can’t comprehend this fact. It’s still a conspiracy to these three leftist pinheads.
clueless wondermoron, steve and rudeass don’t rank for a response.
Going back to the ocean now to enjoy mo of da fish life.

Leftist fools Puddy been in da ocean today. Fun time.

Still waiting for Lee to explain how Ned Lamont lost.
Still waiting for Lee to explain how Olbermann blamed it on “Bush Terraism Conspiracy” when we all know Connecticut voted for Al Gore in 2000 and John Kerry in 2004, BIG TIME. What a joke. Lamont lost due to his own issues, not some Olbermann thought Bush conspiracy.
Submitted and proved.
Cum on Lee. Make up more shit for all of us.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Puddy also proved Olbermann’s conspiracy of his terrorism alert.
All Lee has was a statement from Tom Ridge who said he wouldn’t have raised it as many times.
Yep that destroys Olbermann’s conspiracy theory.
You have nuthin Lee on this one either except some crap from DUmmys and Daily Kooks.
YLB spews:
This loon just keeps on making shit up.
He claims the gov removed something but gives no documentary proof beyond the Beck show he watched. Heh. Great source.
He claims that KO promoted “ustogether” multiple times “on the air” (not a blog and not even there!) but gives no proof.
The only solid evidence in this thread is that the moron talks out of his silly ass..
Enjoy your “me time” with the fishies fool. The rest of us will be cajoling our Congress Critters to reform health care in this country.
A loon among the fishes. It fits! Written off…

Lee, Don Joe and Darryl, still can’t comprehend this fact.
No one has any difficulty comprehending the actual facts. What we have difficulty comprehending is how you think those facts manage to support any particular conclusion you think we should reach because those facts are true. Your inability to stitch together a coherent argument on this isn’t anyone’s fault but yours.
Puddy been in da ocean today.
Hm. That could explain quite a lot.
Most of us would much prefer to be on the ocean rather than in the ocean. Much easier to breathe that way.
DJ (who is, in fact, PADI certified).
Don Joe spews:
By the way, just in case there’s any doubt whatsoever as to how incoherent Puddy’s argument really is, take a close look at Puddy’s rants about Ned Lamont.
First, Puddy brings up a show that supposedly took place in September 2006 involving Ned Lamont. Then Puddy spews:
Got that? According to Puddy, Olbermann was promoting a conspiracy theory about Ned Lamont’s loss to Liebermann in the general election a full two months before the general election ever occurred.
Darryl spews:
PuddyBud @ 351
“Retract something said in a previous post (Olbermann show) and when they think Puddy is wrong they want Puddy to retract, yet Olbermann doesn’t have to retract what he presented.”
Nobody asked you to do that Puddy. We want you to demonstrate Olbermann PROMOTING A CONSPIRACY THEORY.
Darryl spews:

What the fuck?
I already told you, I haven’t examined, read about, or studied this Beck issue. Why did you include my name in this list?
Darryl spews:
Puddybud,
“Puddy also proved Olbermann’s conspiracy of his terrorism alert.”
BULL FUCKING SHIT PUDDY!
“All Lee has was a statement from Tom Ridge who said he wouldn’t have raised it as many times.”
Ummm…you mean the statement that Olbermann and other MSM sources and blogs were reporting on?
Kind-of makes you look retarded to call that a “conspiracy theory.”
I mean, we understand that you think that the MSM over played Ridges statements. But Ridge did make them. Again…when something is TRUE, it is not a conspiracy. And when something is a current media story it isn’t a conspiracy theory. The story must FIRST be thoroughly discredited (and the discrediting in the public domain) and THEN a person must promote it to qualify as “promoting a conspiracy theory.”
So when are we getting the Florida Panhandle conspiracy theory promotion quotes????
Darryl spews:
Puddy,
About 49 hours have passed since you made the claim:
Yet, you haven’t risen to the task. You have obfuscated, deflected, mis-cited, and attempted to change the argument.
What you haven’t done is made your case.
If it “is easy,” let’s see you put your research skills where your mouth is.
Puddybud is traveling TRAVELING spews:
Ahhh Puddy has spotted the second HA libtardo chronological idiot Don Joe
What a tard Don Joe is. It’s now 2009 fool. That was 2006. Hind sight is 20-20, except in the narrow femtometer mind of Don Joe.
Ned LaMont poll numbers started tanking in September. Olbermann started claiming in September the reason Ned was tanking was GWBush and his administration was claiming Lieberman was the best candidate to stop terraism. Puddy has written over and over Connecticut voters DID NOT vote for GWB in 2000 or 2004, so how could they be swayed by anything GWBush said? How could Olbermann’s conspiracy theory of GWB or his administration pumping up Lieberman with Olbermann’s terraism theory be true fool?
Man, it’s so easy to spot chronological idiots. They have no concept of time.

Why change it unless they know it makes the obama look bad.
Kinda proves beck’s point.
Zashkaser spews:
Fantastic news! :)
Don Joe spews:
I pointed out a problem in Puddy’s chronology, and Puddy’s brilliant response is:
It’s now 2009 fool.
No fucking shit! What was your first clue?
Puddy continues:
Olbermann started claiming in September the reason Ned was tanking was GWBush and his administration was claiming Lieberman was the best candidate to stop terraism.
First, this offers absolutely no explanation whatsoever for why Puddy kept demanding that Lee explain why Ned Lamont lost in the general election.
Second, Puddy had earlier claimed that Lamont lost the election, because he was arguing in favor of an immediate troop withdrawal from Iraq. I’m not going to ask Puddy to explain to us the difference between Lamont’s stance and the concept of being “soft on terraism,” because it’s entirely likely that Puddy’s head will explode in the process of trying to answer it.
Lastly, and this is the kicker, Puddy suggests that this precipitous drop in Lamont’s polling numbers was due to Lamont’s stand on troop withdrawal. But, Lamont’s stance on troop withdrawal did not change between the primary election and September.
This is like the post hoc fallacy in reverse–assume a causal link when there isn’t even a chronological correlation. But you have to give Puddy credit for inventing entirely new ways to completely fuck up an argument.
Marvin Stamn spews:
Good thing lee is a left-wingnut.
I remember the outrage about that monkey cartoon that left-wingnuts believed to be the obama.
The headline from media matters says it all…
How does the Klan view New York Post’s stimulus monkey cartoon?
And we now have lee with his monkey “jokes.”
Steve spews:
Maybe Marvin should start a campaign to tar Lee as a racist. I’m sure he’ll be able to enlist that pathetic racist wingnut, Mr. Klynical. Yes, indeed, just like he was able to enlist the gay-hating bigots Klynical and Puddy in his laughable crusade to label GBS and myself as, yes, you guessed it, gay-hating bigots.

Puddy…your protests over the MSM are well known. And completely irrelevant. When a story is current, discussing it cannot be considered “promotion of a conspiracy theory”.
It is only AFTER the story is demonstrated to be clearly wrong, followed by continued discussion of the discredited idea, that one can claim “promotion of conspiracy theory.”
“You didn’t disprove that one.”
Puddy…the issue isn’t me disproving anything. The issue is that you claimed you could show that Olbermann has promoted conspiracy theories.
You have not done so. I though you said it would be easy?
Darryl spews:
PuddyBud,
About 73 hours have passed since you made the claim:
