Yep Goldy there is all kind of hidden cost today some come in your phone bill thanks to the State and Federal Governments. How about the Comcast finger on no competition in its area of business because the State regulators will not allow Verizon to join the market? Hell Verizon invested its money into Oregon because this state government regulator is still dragging their feet. Now Oregon will have a first class Fios networks and this state will be in the stone ages and being over charged by Comcast. Charging everybody taxes for bottled water which may save some government programs that didn’t provide the tax payers any necessary services. Why do we install fluoride in water when everybody drinks bottle water? Now is that a real hidden cost that is not necessary with all the poor kids getting their teeth treated for a fraction of the cost at the dentist. Yes the banks rip off all its customers especially all those who ran the border illegally and can’t speak English. You folks have to pay for Spanish speaking signs post in the banks to make it legal to steal from its illegal customers. Do you think they ask for a green card or a valid social security card? Back in the fifties they lock folks up in jail for charging more than 12% interest; today the banks can charge up to thirty per cent and not get their hands slap. The ones that really get me is the state taxes on sins, like cigarettes, alcohol, gas, hotel, and rental cars just to pay for their bad management of the general funds. Yes; Goldy we have picking our pockets every day and they call them Socialist Democrats. When you come up with a plan to get Democrats in the party that problem will disappear.

Time was people succeeded in business by providing a better product or service and/or charging a lower price. Now, “business” is all about eliminating competition and deceiving consumers.
Another fucking failure of capitalism.

re 5: I learned in William Grieder’s book, The Soul of Capitalism, that big capital makes the rules by which companies are valuated. One of those rules is that the worse you treat labor, the higher your valuation to these lenders to big business.
This is the reason that WalMart outperforms Costco in the stock market. WalMart has easier access to capital because it treats its workers like crap — even though Costco is more profitable.
That seems just as artificial as a government valuation of a stock. But I guess if the rulemaker is ‘private’, it’s OK.

Liberal propaganda: Folks make sure you surport the Liberal propaganda below by sending them your money. Where is a good Democrat when you need one? Screaning Dean is not a Democrat, but a great Socialist Democrat with a social disease. You tell me which one it is, but don’t define is like Bill Clinton.
Dear Kenneth,
I am writing to wish you Happy New Year and to personally thank you for your support this year. Our accomplishments would not have been possible without the support of Democrats like you. As we celebrate the holidays with our family and friends, let us reflect on why it is critical that we work so hard to take America in a New Direction.
In 2008, we will have almost 75 Republican seats in play, and 30 vulnerable Democrats to protect. House Republicans have already transferred more than $3 million from their Members’ campaign accounts into the NRCC this month. On top of that, they have Republican outside groups ready to spend hundreds of millions of dollars against us next year.
Midnight tonight may mark the New Year, but it also marks a critical year-end FEC deadline for all Democrats. If you haven’t already done so, please go to http://www.dccc.org/midnight and give. We are just $33,512 away from our goal and your urgent donation will be matched by House Democrats. The resources we bring in today will show our strength before the end of the year, and carry us into 2008, where we will expand our Democratic majority and overcome Roadblock Republicans who are blocking the change the American people so desperately want.
To give now, please contribute at http://www.dccc.org/midnight.
Thank you again for your support and Happy New Year!

Wal-Mart is the all-time stock champ — up 5,600 times since 1970. If you’d bought $10,000 of Wal-mart stock back then and held onto it, you’d have $56 million today. They didn’t get there by paying their help well.

Roger Rabbit spews:
Speaking of stocks, this is the last trading day of the year, and therefore the last opportunity for investors to sell their tax losses, plus a lot of people aren’t at work today and/or not paying attention so trading volume is low — what this all boils down to is practically everything is down today and if you’re thinking about buying some shares this may be the lowest price of the year. I bought 100 shares of Crocs about 1/2 hour ago for $1,300 less than I sold my Crocs for a few weeks ago. I’m gonna make money offa this! I’m gonna be 1 rich fucking bunny!! Then I won’t have to collect shopping carts in Wal-Mart parking lots to make ends meet after the Bush Inflation ruins my pension. See, Democrats can play this fucking capitalism game too! You simply have to know how.
Roger Rabbit spews:
Frankly, I think a system that buys my stock in November for $4,900 and sells it back to me a month later for $3,650 is nuts, but I didn’t create this stupid capitalist system, I just go with the flow. Sure beats working. I don’t work! Why should I? Congress punishes you for working by taxing the shit out of wages while giving favorable tax treatment to speculators like me. Why should I work when I can get paid for sitting on my fat rabbit ass in front of a computer screen pushing little dollar signs in circles? Congress cut my tax rate in half as a reward for not working and not producing a damn thing. Like I said, this system is nuts, but I just go with the flow.
Roger Rabbit spews:
But hey, if you can’t flip stocks, at least flip off a Republican!
Roger Rabbit spews:
It doesn’t pay as well but the satisfaction is priceless.

Nice one. The reality is you’re unemployable….
If you’re so “rich” why not start a business and employ some people, manage a payroll? Oh wait, by your own definition Democrats aren’t business owners, only Republicans are….
Don’t worry, your party, if they have it their way, is going to raise the capital gains rate….

re 9: Roger, the point is that Costco, even though they pay their workers more and have decent and affordable healthcare, is valued LOWER by big capital lenders EVEN THOUGH COSTCO MORE PROFITABLE.
It’s an artificial valuation based not on fact, but on a social construct that the wealthy believe, in spite of the real evidence.
So much for the ‘invisible hand’.
More like just pure meanness and class warefare. Why is klake in favor of class warfare, as long as it’s the rich doing it?
Because he’s a DUPE.

Hey genius. Did you read through the entire article? The cops came, investigated, and didn’t arrest the guy even though he was right there. Why do you think that was? Or were the cops part of the grand liberal conspiracy too?
fkjqkl;wej spews:
Hey fucker, just because he wasn’t arrested does NOT mean the babykiller consort was not culpable for the old man… do you have a brain in you head or does yours do double duty an an uncircumcised piss funnel?
after witnesses pointed him out as the assailant… Shocked, Mr. McTernan shouted to the police: “What are you doing? That’s him! That’s the assailant!”
OJ was innocent too… stupid fucker
Lee spews:
@21
Once again, are the police part of the grand liberal conspiracy, or did they simply find that there wasn’t enough evidence to charge someone? When you post an article from a source that is obviously going to have a bias (Life News is a strongly anti-choice publication), you need to read between the lines. If the police had an unconscious man and a witness of the assailant, the only possible explanations for why the police did nothing are:
a) The didn’t believe the witness
b) They’re corrupt for some reason
Which is it?
wdfnklwldfn spews:
Oh “read between the lines”.. got it. How expedient.
Blogger: Term used to describe anyone with enough time or narcissism to document every tedious bit of minutia filling their uneventful lives. Possibly the most annoying thing about bloggers is the sense of self-importance they get after even the most modest of publicity. Sometimes it takes as little as a referral on a more popular blogger’s website to set the lesser blogger’s ego into orbit.
Lee spews:
@23
I didn’t see an explanation there. Is it a) or b)?
Roger Rabbit spews:
@5 Yeah, but the poor (and soon to be much poorer) Chinese capitalists have no choice but to buy “stocks” with three-digit P/Es and no financial statements because what else is there to “invest in” in China?
Roger Rabbit spews:
@17 “If you’re so “rich” why not start a business and employ some people, manage a payroll?”
Why should I? Then I’d have to pay ordinary income taxes and self-employment taxes — almost 40% of what I’d earn! Why do that when I can produce nothing, employ no one, make more money, and pay only the 10% capital gains tax?
You need to learn a thing or two from Steven Schwarzman, son! He runs a hedge fund, makes $750 million a year by having no employees, creating no jobs, and producing nothing, and pays a lower tax rate than the non-union janitor who empties his trash! Hey, I already said this system is nuts, but when a Republican Congress enacts tax laws that take away all the incentive to do what you suggest and create incentives to do what Schwarzman does, whaddya think people are gonna do?! This wasn’t my idea, this was the fucking wingnut Republicans’ idea.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@19 Well, thank God the “invisible hand” is as stupid as a Republican, because if it had any brains I might need get a job.
Roger Rabbit spews:
