Part of me is incessed at the idea of paying twice for something. I mean… don’t we already pay taxes for our government to build and maintain our roadways?

Part of me is forced to agree that if I want to add my little part to the congestion which has me gnashing my teeth at 5:30pm, a little ‘pay to play’ is in order.
We already pay for our conveniences and excesses. A ‘sin tax’ is not a new concept. Where’s the line, though? When does roadway use become roadway abuse? At what point are we using more than our fair individual share of these venues? Are we setting ourselves up for fuhrer… I mean “further” restrictions of our personal freedoms, by allowing additional taxation on the use of certain venues?
