Deb Wallace, D-Vancouver, stating her concerns that Washington will be cutting 40,000 people from the state health care rolls just as the H1N1 flu hits. Wallace seems to be asking fellow Legislators to think about doing something (like further cutting state worker hours) about it in the upcoming special session. You can read it here.

There does seem to be serious evidence David Souter is resigning from the Supreme Court. He has not hired any clerks for the coming term, though all his colleagues have. I would like to pay tribute to the man–Bush’s father, GHWB, put him on the bench. GHWB, to give him credit, is not GWB. Souter turned out to be a serious jurist, a judge who cared about the rule of law more than he cared about the political winds. He is not, as the media might call him, a liberal.
