*I know, it’s an advisory vote. But still!

It’s not so much an election as it is a taxpayer-funded survey.

You’re right, but still, you go to war with the elections you have, not the elections you wish you had…
BTW- I want home remodel pics, and more of Julius too.
Roger Rabbit spews:
Where do City Light ratepayers living outside the city limits turn in THEIR ballots?
Oops, I forgot — they don’t get to vote, even though they’ll have to pay a hefty chunk of the tunnel’s cost.
To review: If a tunnel option is selected, City Light customers will be billed $500 million to relocate utilities. This cost represents about 2/3rds of the cost of “Tunnel Lite” over and above the basic replacement funding provided by the state. I’m not sure how many City Light customers live outside the city limits, but I would guess a majority do not get to vote in this election.
So, what we have is city voters deciding whether suburban county residents should pay for a tunnel. This vote, whatever its outcome, doesn’t mean a damn thing except that taxation without representation is alive and well in our community.

City Light customers who live outside of Seattle should think very seriously about pooling their resources and building their own power plant. Until then… STFU.

I need to commandeer theher’s camera for that. And she wants to get a few more things done first.

If Algore & his minions are correct about the magnitude of Global Warming……..
And if you folks all believe the impacts predicted by Algore to be true………
Then why in the world would you vote for either a Tunnel OR a Street Option???
It makes no sense if you believe Algore’s science.
An elevated structure is the only long-term solution.
I can’t believe any of you impressive HA’ers with all your knowledge about almost everything & nothing haven’t “connected the dots”.
Perhaps you believe in Global Warming only when it doesn’t smash your other dreams. Impressive.
