Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell, a former DNC chair himself, may be an asshole sometimes (okay, most of the time), but he’s our asshole, and that’s why we love him. Indeed, Democrats could use a few more assholes like Ed in both Washingtons.

    No mention of children who lack health insurance and preventive care through no fault of their own, or the 45,000 people annually who die because they lack health insurance. It’s jsut too bad that kids don’t smoke or wearh gold teeth, ro you could use them too.

    CBS News released a telling poll on January 11, 2010.
    – Regarding extending coverage to the uninsured, the poll showed that 57% of Americans support the current plan or want it stronger – only 32% believe it goes too far.
    – On controlling health care costs, 60% support the plan or want it to go even further – only 24% think it goes too far.
    – Concerning new regulations on health insurance companies, 61% support the plan or want it stronger – only 27% believe it goes too far.
