I thought it would make some news when the state Attorney General, the man charged with prosecuting campaign finance and reporting violations, was credibly accused of campaign finance and reporting violations himself. But I never went to J-school, so what do I know?
Then again, our local media is so in love with the notion of Rob McKenna as the good Republican, I’m pretty sure he’d have to be caught on tape strangling a six-year-old to generate any negative press.
The Seattle Times spews:
“Strangled” is an awfully loaded term. We prefer to report that he “had his hands wrapped around the six-year-old’s neck in a loving, fatherly gesture.”
Michael spews:
Nary a peep in the Tacoma paper.
Pussies.
Carl spews:
Goldy, you don’t understand: we can’t talk about Republican corruption before the election; that would be political, wait until after the election. And there’s no need to talk about Republican corruption after the election; the people have spoken.
Michael spews:
Papers are going broke all over the place and those crazy, netroots, lefties want them to report on corruption linked to the Realtors? Don’t they know you should never say anything bad about one of your largest advertisers?
Judy Ebby spews:
Goldy, we truly tried to watch your national tv debut. We of course do not have cable but went gamely to the basement where Fox comes in, not knowing it was a cable station. Ebby and Rach watched but missed your segment. If you have it on tape, send it to me please. In the meantime, keep on doing what you are doing. Best regards, Judy
YLB spews:
McKenna is a real prospect for Governor in 2012. Rossi’s ties to BIAW and his over the top phoniness was his downfall. McKenna ties are just as real, his dishonesty is real enough and yet he comes off as a sharp public servant.
The Dems had better make some good moves in the next 4 years otherwise voter fatigue is going to catch up with them and we’ll have a BIAW tool in the Governor’s mansion.
N in Seattle spews:
Nary a word in the P-I either.
Not on McKenna, not on Rossi, not on the Realtors, not on the PDC.
Nada.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@4 When your largest advertiser is broke and not buying ads anymore, you’ve got nothing to lose.

It’s juuuuuuust a little crime. No need to bother our readers…..
All Facts Support My Positions spews:
Now watch Pelz, Gregoire, Ladenburg, and the rest of the cowardly pussified Democrats not make a frigging peep. I do all I can to get dems elected. Their cowardice, and unwillingness to fight as hard as they can for what is right, is embarrassing. Whether it is Bush, or Rossi. The dems as a whole are too chicken to do a damn thing about their crimes. It makes me sick to my stomach.
For once why don’t they DEMAND JUSTICE, instead of acting like whipped dogs?
slingshot spews:
@11, because they’re pussified asswhips afraid of the American brown shirts and an updated ‘night of the long knives’. They’ll regret allowing this kind of precedent to write the future of American politik. Their passivity in these matters makes Dem leaders complicit in right-wing revisionism.
Maybe the two Seattle dailies have already laid-off their staffs, with no one left to report that tidbit, let alone election felonies.
Proud To Be An Ass spews:
“I’m pretty sure he’d have to be caught on tape strangling a six-year-old to generate any negative press.”
I’m not so sure. They’d probably say it was done with grace and penanche, as befits the GOP’s Golden Boy.
Michael spews:
@13
Nah, the Tacoma paper would claim the complaint about the strangling was “politically motivated” and there for it doesn’t count.
Michael spews:
Have a mentioned that the Tacoma paper is run by a bunch of cowardly pussies?
John Barelli spews:
Well…
Much as I want to agree with those complaining that the newspapers are ignoring an important story, I also have to ask myself how many folks (outside of this hearty band of political junkies) would really care about a PDC complaint regarding a losing gubenatorial candidate.
Because most folks consider the AG race to be almost an afterthought, and even we should admit that the main thrust of the complaint is against the Rossi campaign.
Yours truly, of course, is cheering on the PDC and I really hope they get to the bottom of this. After all, it was my dues money that the Washington Association of Realtors used in this incident.
And while a builder can leave BIAW without significant changes to his or her business, if I leave the WAR, I’ve got to change offices, change all of my marketing, give up all of my listings, convince my buyer clients to follow me to my new agency, etc…
After which you can visit me at my new job. I’ll be the fellow saying “welcome to Wal-Mart”. (Ok, I can do better than that, but still, how many good jobs are available these days for a 50+ year old that has been selling real estate full time for the past five years?)
Rick D. spews:
Goldy is showing how thinskinned he really is…
Benqmember spews:
he’d have to be caught on tape strangling a six-year-old to generate any negative press.
It would have a be a blonde, white six-year-old.
correctnotright spews:
Maybe we need to flood the editorial page with letters accusing the Times of ignoring a systematic campaign of corruption that goes all the way to the Attorney General – that they (the Times) endorsed.
The top law enforement officer in the state is accused of illegal campaign tactics along with one of the largest realty organizations. The integrity of the state and realtors is now questionable and the Times HAS NO COMMENT!
Oh, and little Ricky D. is back. Hi WIMP. I guess you are just fine with corruption and illegal campaign financing done by REPUBLICANS.
And where is that hypocrite Janet, who is so concerned about corruption? Oh yeah, it is only when democrats are involved.
mark spews:
Obamas campaign illegally collected 200 million
dollars from outside the country and thats okay? BIAW is on the side of protecting the
very industry that kept this state in the chips
for many years. Now this state is so fucked up
financially and it’s going to be way worse than
they know. It’s going to be funny as hell when
the state workers retirement checks stop coming
in the mail. The government is about 20 times
bigger than it should be and it’s going to
correct itself one way or the other. Now with
the democrat circus in charge the uneducated
voters are really in for a surprise. Too damn
bad they didn’t get their 60 seats so they could fuck everything up that they touch even
faster. Gregoire said there was a surplus.
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Go democrats!
Real American spews:
@ 20, that’s nothing! Every Republican politician who won reelection nationally illegally collected 5 billion dollars from terrorist sources outside of the country!
And the BIAW was the middleman for everyone of them!
Source: same as Mark’s. I pulled it out of my ass.
manof truth spews:
benqmember, i dont know about the white , blond thing. the white , blond ann pressly was, raped, sodmoised and brutally beaten by two black men and the media supressed it for obama’s sake. its only now coming out.
Michael spews:
There is a surplus in this budget. There’s a projected shortfall (which will be just a regular old shortfall once the final budget projection is made)in the next budget. Because Washington State can not engage in deficit spending, cuts will be made loopholes will be closed and the state will pass a balanced budget.

Here is my link:
More than 150 pages by the GAO (non-partisan) ACCOUNTING office on all the BUSH incompetence in government (and what needs to be fixed). And this reporrt did not even deal with politicization of Justice, ignoring the scientists in the EPA and FDA et cetera.
