The verification process – or a lack of one – had been a crucial issue:
“Democrats had pointed to provisions in House and Senate legislation that prohibited illegal immigrants from getting federal subsidies that would be offered to lower-income Americans to help them buy insurance.
“That didn’t go far enough for Wilson or many other Republicans, who noted the absence of any enforcement mechanism or requirement for verification of legal status. There are some 7 million illegal immigrants in this country who lack health insurance, according to the Pew Hispanic Center.”
Whatever one thinks of Rep. Joe Wilson’s outburst, the fact of the matter is the White House found it necessary to react to it:
“The White House strengthened its stand against health care coverage for illegal immigrants Friday, and a pivotal Senate committee looked ready to follow its lead.
“The developments reflected a renewed focus on the issue in the days since a Republican congressman’s outburst during President Barack Obama’s health care speech to Congress on Wednesday night. Republican Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina shouted ”You lie!” as Obama said illegal immigrants wouldn’t be covered under his health plan.”
9 – uhh.. I believe the process is called “writing the legislation”, i.e. it’s not quite finished yet.

Sort of. His response came to Obama’s statement that “there are also those who claim that our reform efforts would insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false.”
This can be taken in two ways…denying the “those who claim” or denying the policy. I suspect most folks read this as Wilson contradicting Obama’s assertion that his plan would not insure illegal immigrants.
While there is some quibbling about vaccination programs and emergency room services for undocumented aliens, it is a fact that the House bill disallows insurance for illegal immigrants.

“The EMTALA act says hospitals MUST treat emergent cases and women in active labor. Illegals that get to a hospital MUST be treated. Hospitals MUST provide care under Federal law.”
I guess that is preferable to having undocumented aliens dying along the sides of highways, which can be a real big distraction to drivers.
However Obama wasn’t talking about either emergency care or existing law. He was talking about a proposed insurance program when he said, “there are also those who claim that our reform efforts would insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false.”
Obama’s statement is true: draft bills explicitly prohibit undocumented aliens from purchasing the government insurance.
Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States
“The problem is not what’s in the bill, it’s what the bill leaves out. There’s no provision for how the prohibition would be enforced, or any requirement for people to prove they are citizens or legal residents before getting health care benefits. In fact, Democrats on the Energy and Commerce and Ways and Means committees defeated Republican-offered amendments that would have required people to verify their legal status before getting care, with some Democrats saying such requirements would be unnecessarily burdensome for people legally entitled to coverage.”
@33, why did the Republican Congress and President choose to compensate doctors when some of the health care they provide could possibly benefit illegal “immigrants”?
What the Hell is wrong with those big spending, big government, Republicans?
I guess the Republican Gov. Ass. must have lobbied for it since, you know, those are the states most impacted by illegal immigrants. Hopefully Texas will finally be given back to Mexico, like a borrowed and wrecked car, sorry, here is your fucked up state back.
The Republican Federal mandate on individuals to force them to be compensated for doctoring illegal immigrants is just wrong, doctors should do it for free. George Bush, big spending fucker is what he is. Why didn’t Republicans stop… Republicans?
It’s the hypocracy that is hurting the Conservative arguments, that, and the popularization of the radical fringe.
No political compass can break free of the polarizing nature of the emotional pleas of bigots, no matter which direction you want to go.
Anyway, Obama was outlining HIS proposal last Wednesday, not Congresses. I guess Wilson missed the election and thought Obama was still a Senator?
Well, there is is good news for Wilson, his pre-existing condition, mental illness, will not keep him for getting health insurance when he leaves Congress’ government run health insurance this Fall.
In other words you are agreeing that Rep. Joe Wilson was wrong.
Obama said that it is incorrect to claim that the proposed reforms would insure illegal immigrants. And I presume we agree that at least one such bill explicitly makes it illegal to offer the government insurance to illegal immigrants.
Now you aren’t saying that the proposed legislation would insure illegal immigrants, rather you are fearful that illegal immigrants would break the law and purchase (or be granted) a government policy anyway.
That is an enforcement issue (and one that will likely be addressed in the final bill, as we have seen late last week).
The fact remains, as H.R. 3200 (as written last week) explicitly makes it illegal for undocumented aliens to purchase (or be granted) the government insurance option.
40
dsspews:
@37
This was pointed out @10. The issue has been about enforcement: the law is only as good as the mechanisms for enforcing it. The point of the Times’ piece is the WH made enforcement a focus FOLLOWING the Wilson outburst.
“The point of the Times’ piece is the WH made enforcement a focus FOLLOWING the Wilson outburst.”
Maybe. Or maybe they worked on the enforcement following Obama’s speech. Or maybe this was just an active part of the ongoing revisions of the draft legislation. Whatever the reason, there can be no dispute that the legislation made insuring undocumented aliens illegal.
That doesn’t change the facts that (1) Wilson was wrong when he accused the President of lying, and (2) Wilson is a hypocrite because he bemoans undocumented aliens receiving medical benefits at the government’s expense; yet, in the past, he voted to provide some government-funded benefits to undocumented aliens.
42
YLBspews:
Another right wing mess for Obama and the Democrats to clean up:
I’m a big picture kinda guy. And in the big picture, illegals (and yes, their name is illegals, not immigrants) will be covered. The Dems have the ability to prevent it, but creating a situation where they know they’ll be covered. Why? Because eventually they know they will be giving amnesty to the illegals in order to create future Democratic voters.
44
dsspews:
@36 Obama’s statement is true: draft bills explicitly prohibit undocumented aliens from purchasing the government insurance.
For example HR 3200, Section 246:
Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States
————
The bills included language that prohibited undocumented workers from receiving gov subsidies for purchasing government insurance as described, for example, in HR 3200. They said nothing about undocumented workers using their own money to purchase such insurance. See, for example:
“Illegal immigrants were to be allowed in the exchange and even in the public plan if they used their own money under legislation that passed three committees in the House and one in the Senate. Before Friday, there was little indication that that would change, even in the crucial Senate Finance Committee, which is facing a deadline of early next week to complete a comprehensive health bill.”
This was another area of controversy.
45
YLBspews:
Moron @ 12 – So you’re saying the President lied in his speech and you’re supporting the moron Wilson.
LOL. No doubt it is all part of the Democrat’s plan to have their “illegals” zombie army round up all the elderly and handicapped and march them to the gas chambers.
Don’t forget to ask your mommy check under you bed for “illegals” tonight.
47
dsspews:
@41 Maybe
Or maybe not. The point is the subject was elevated following the speech. My focus isn’t on Wilson, who was out-of-line IMO.
48
YLBspews:
Because eventually they know they will be giving amnesty to the illegals in order to create future Democratic voters.
All Republican greedheads have to do is stop using cheap illegal labor to line their pockets. If the undocumented can’t get a job in this country, they won’t come here.
But Republicans will never do that because 1) they love money too much and 2) they love using fear of the brown skinned people to scare up votes.
Well that backfired on them last November. Hispanics in general can’t stand Republicans and will always vote against them.
49
YLBspews:
Wow 43 is a perfect example of what I was hypothesizing in 42.
I agree…there has been controversy about whether illegal aliens would be prohibited from purchasing a subsidized government insurance policy, or any government option at all. In other words, whether they would be limited to purchasing only private insurance (as about 30% of them do now).
This is akin to debates about whether illegal immigrants must pay out-of-state tuition at state-subsidized Colleges.
The one difference is that many colleges have limited student slots, so even allowing illegal immigrants to pay unsubsidized tuition takes away from other students. Whereas the whole idea behind the Public Option is that there is strength and savings in numbers. Therefore, allowing undocumented aliens to purchase (at-cost, not subsidized) the government plan would lower everyone’s costs.
Obama said “no insurance” and they are, in fact, pushing that to the extreme by proposing that illegal aliens be excluded from the entire pool of both private and public options in the insurance exchange.
Unfortunately, the NY Times seems to muddle the issue further:
“Currently illegal immigrants are barred from government-funded care except in certain emergency cases, but many buy private insurance and there’s nothing to prevent them from doing that. That would change under the White House’s proposal, which is certain to alarm some on the left.”
I am pretty sure this is incorrect. They would be able to purchase private insurance as they do now, but not through the insurance exchange.
Thursday’s annual Census Bureau report on income, poverty and access to health care-the Bureau’s principal report card on the well-being of average Americans-closes the books on the economic record of George W. Bush.
It’s not a record many Republicans are likely to point to with pride.
On every major measurement, the Census Bureau report shows that the country lost ground during Bush’s two terms. While Bush was in office, the median household income declined, poverty increased, childhood poverty increased even more, and the number of Americans without health insurance spiked. By contrast, the country’s condition improved on each of those measures during Bill Clinton’s two terms, often substantially.
The Census’ final report card on Bush’s record presents an intriguing backdrop to today’s economic debate. Bush built his economic strategy around tax cuts, passing large reductions both in 2001 and 2003. Congressional Republicans are insisting that a similar agenda focused on tax cuts offers better prospects of reviving the economy than President Obama’s combination of some tax cuts with heavy government spending. But the bleak economic results from Bush’s two terms, tarnish, to put it mildly, the idea that tax cuts represent an economic silver bullet.
Economists would cite many reasons why presidential terms are an imperfect frame for tracking economic trends. The business cycle doesn’t always follow the electoral cycle. A president’s economic record is heavily influenced by factors out of his control. Timing matters and so does good fortune.
But few would argue that national economic policy is irrelevant to economic outcomes. And rightly or wrongly, voters still judge presidents and their parties largely by the economy’s performance during their watch. In that assessment, few measures do more than the Census data to answer the threshold question of whether a president left the day to day economic conditions of average Americans better than he found it.
If that’s the test, today’s report shows that Bush flunked on every relevant dimension-and not just because of the severe downturn that began last year.
birthers and deather’s emotional pleas are where the Republicans are at, a fiscal conservative rethink has to happen before new ideas that might actually work appear.
52
dsspews:
@50 I am pretty sure this is incorrect.
The Times is only echoing what others have said. There is no language in the bills prohibiting the purchase of gov insurance by illegal immigrants. The language cited above @36 for HR 3200 focuses solely on the use of credits for this purpose. According to the Congressional Research Service in a analysis dated from August 25:
“H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on noncitzens—whether
legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently—participating in the Exchange.”
I think America should be broken into two countries. One half will be for Democrats, the other, Republicans. Although I am a Democrat, I would honestly want to live in the Republican half. How many other Democrats agree with me?
@53, no, I think the Republicans are still managing to give ground.

One of those obama campaigning “mama for obama” mothers changed her view on guantanamo, after she saw it.
In the last election she supported Barack Obama. She campaigned for him.
“I was a ‘Mama for Obama,’ ” she said.
She believed, too, that the American prison camp at Guantanamo, where five men who plotted the 9/11 attacks are imprisoned and face trial, should be closed. Now, she wants it kept open.
…
Prisoners have air-conditioned quarters, she said. They eat well, too.
“Not only religious food, but the food from the eight different countries they come from. They actually have brought in chefs so that the cuisine of their culture is there for them. Health care is available 24/7.
“All medical, dental, emotional care is there for them. If they have even a pimple, they will fly in a dermatologist from the United States to make sure it’s not cancer. They get age-appropriate immunizations. They get age appropriate health screenings. They get colonoscopies.
=”They can pray whenever they want,” she said. “They are permitted prayer rugs and (religious) clothing, even in court. They can stop court proceedings if they need to pray. They stopped proceedings while we were there, because they needed some kind of ‘spiritual care.’ Do you think we’d be able to do that in Bucks County if we were on trial?”
It gets interesting when she talks about what she has learned from the liberal biased media.
“I expected it to look like a broken-down prison, like I had heard on the news. You know, the people are not taken care of, things are bad. Let me tell you – it’s the Guantanamo Bay resort and spa. And that’s what it is. You and I do not live as well as the detainees,” she said.
Yup, that’s the story that was reported. All bad.
“The young men and women who guard (the prisoners) are very professional, and this is something you never hear.
She’s wrong. You hear that on fox all the time. Oops, why would an obama supporter listen to fox.
“The prisoners admitted freely in court they did what they did; they killed Americans and that there are plans to do it again. They happily say so.
Once again, if only she watched fox she would have learned this a while ago.

70 – Hey Stupes, Marvin believes a communist/socialist wrote an editorial in your beloved WSJ editorial page.
Get your head out of your how to pimp very young girls into prostitution acorn handbook for a second…
It wasn’t an accusation about the ceo of whole foods, it was an accusation that you feel someone with such a liberal resume is a “right-winger.” Are you so far left that socialists/communists are right-wingers to you?
80
Puddybud is shocked SHOCKEDspews:
ylb arschloch,
what an arschloch. Marvin didn’t say that fool. The only person who has his head in his arschloch, ylb arschloch!
Lefty Paulson ylb arschloch? You mean the one you called monkey who looks like his TARP decision is gonna pay off moron?
What an arschloch! ylb arschloch! better to be a fiend than an arschloch
83
YLBspews:
someone with such a liberal resume is a “right-winger.”
Awwww.. Poor little Marvin, caught in a brain fart.
All I know is Mackey wrote a piece in the virulently right wing WSJ Editorial Page denigrating progressive health care reform.
It was so well received that right wing nuts started shopping at Whole Foods.
That tells me all I need to know. I’ve never shopped there in my life anyway. I won’t start anytime soon.
84
YLBspews:
82 – You called him a lefty and you cited as proof his contributions to some Democrats and his passion for wildlife preservation.
You did this to spin the hatred of the TARP by the right wing away from the chimp you voted for twice.
So basically you said a “lefty”‘s program worked. Oh and don’t forget – Obama supported the TARP.
So now you’re saying he’s right wing?
Go on say it. Make my day.
85

@81
Robert C. Byrd loves himself, his power and his money more than he loves anything else. Byrd is old and will be dead soon.
The Republican Party has a history of protecting the environment. The problem being that, that protection really is a part of history.
The Dem’s have done much better on environmental issues over the last 20 years, but being better than the Republican’s is a pretty low hurdle to jump.

Damn, and before that I thought I was perfect. Oh yeah, you’re the spelling nanny aren’t you? Was’nt it you pointing out speling errors yestarday?
So no comment about the liberal resume of the ceo?
I’ve never shopped there in my life anyway. I won’t start anytime soon.
That’s the way I like it. Don’t support liberal businesses. Say, how’s that air america station going? Unsupported?

81 – That State voted for Nixon, Raygun, Chimpie (both terms) and McSame.
88
YLBspews:
86 – Another brain fart. You said Mackey was a socialist/communist – if so, he must be the first commie to write an article in the Wall Street Editorial Page – a classic go to place in the media for right wing nuts. That was your first brain fart.
I meant no rebuke of your spelling skills – I don’t particularly care about them unless you’re being a hypocrite which you are anyway because you’re bigoted towards people who went to public school (most Republicans).
Damn it sucks to be a right winger like you!
Yeah I criticized another right wing nut’s spelling because hypocrite that he was, he had denigrated someone else’s spelling error as reflecting on his education.
Typical right wing nut.

I tried to explain that in #79. Did I once again screw up your speling/gramer rules.
I wasn’t calling him a socialist/communist, I was asking how far left are YOU to consider a liberal with his resume a right-winger.
Damn you. You got me. haha I actually believed you were that stoopid to not get it.
91
YLBspews:
That’s the way I like it. Don’t support liberal businesses.
Ooops. I supported shopping at the PCC – which is a home-grown shopping outlet that did what Whole Foods does years and years before Whole Foods ever opened a store here.
Say, how’s that air america station going? Unsupported?
Listen to it all the time. It’s still on the air AFAIK. Ron Reagan Jr. produces his show from there.
Imagine that, the son of Ron and Nancy Raygun produces a national Air America talk show from Seattle.
Damn it sure sucks for the right wing!
92
YLBspews:
The ceo of whole foods is a right winger?
Does that make you uninformed or so far left on the political spectrum that socialists/communists are considered right-wing to you?
There it is in all it’s glory. You’re implying Mackey is a socialist/communist.
You’re not calling him a liberal. I don’t even see the word liberal there.

For example…
I listen to the Laker pre-game radio show. There is no AFAIK, I know for certain the show is on.
94
YLBspews:
93 – Why ask me that question? Make up any shit you want. You usually do anyway. That’s the way you right wingers operate.
I take it in stride that you guys “lost it” long before Obama won last November.
I haven’t listened to KPTK today or yesterday. It may be off the air now for all I know. You may know this. I may not.

I would have said, “Yeah, I know a lot about him. He’s really a pain in the ass. When he ran Bay Area PoliceWatch, he slanted every case to make the cops look as bad as possible. And while he might be talented enough, he’s totally and completely unreliable.”
I can hear ylb already, whining that only a right-wingnut racist would smear van jones like that.
99 – I never heard of Van Jones until shortly before right wing nuts started orgasming at his resignation.
Lots of people can do that job. Some have remarked that Van Jones’ talents were being wasted at what was basically a desk job
In any case, I hope the after glow for right wing nuts was pleasing. After the thrashing they’ve taken since before Nov 2008, they have to take what they can get.
102

Of course the democrats are concerned about the environment…
But for some strange reason, conservatives do a much much better job cleaning up after their rallies. I guess liberals figure the government will clean it up for them.

I don’t see anything “correct” about that. I’m sure you would though.
105 – There’s a right wing nut blog known as “Right Wing Nut House”. I’m sure you’re familiar with it. You’ve demonstrated over the years that there’s not a single right wing POC on the internet you haven’t “known” in the biblical sense or otherwise.
Well the perfect name for a blog you would host is “rightwingouthouse.com”
Why do republican’s need to lie about everything? The 1.5 million lie wasn’t good enough for your guy, he had to stretch it to 2M.
There were 1.8 million at the Obama inauguration and no trash cans. That’s bound to make more of a mess. Plus, not every one of those 1.8 million was a liberal and neither party or point of view has done very well on personal responsibility lately.
On another note, good for them for cleaning up after themselves.

The only information received in reference to this alleged criminal behavior was a YouTube video. Upon review by this office, the video appears to be incomplete. In addition, the audio portion could possibly have been obtained in violation of Maryland Law, Annotated Code of Maryland Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article §10-402, which requires two party consent.
If it is determined that the audio portion now being heard on YouTube was illegally obtained, it is also illegal under Maryland Law to willfully use or willfully disclose the content of said audio. Yes…he did.
“Or was he just pointing out that obama was lying.”

Of course dailykos is disputing it, what else would they do.
Darryl spews:
Delbert @ 20,
“The EMTALA act says hospitals MUST treat emergent cases and women in active labor.
For example HR 3200, Section 246:
Troll spews:
@36
“The problem is not what’s in the bill, it’s what the bill leaves out. There’s no provision for how the prohibition would be enforced, or any requirement for people to prove they are citizens or legal residents before getting health care benefits. In fact, Democrats on the Energy and Commerce and Ways and Means committees defeated Republican-offered amendments that would have required people to verify their legal status before getting care, with some Democrats saying such requirements would be unnecessarily burdensome for people legally entitled to coverage.”
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/200.....fact_check
So yes, illegals will be covered, because Dems will see to it that checking legal status won’t be allowed.
Mr. Baker spews:
Darryl spews:
Troll @ 37,
“The problem is not what’s in the bill…”
3200 (as written last week) explicitly makes it illegal for undocumented aliens to purchase (or be granted) the government insurance option.
ds spews:
@37
This was pointed out @10. The issue has been about enforcement: the law is only as good as the mechanisms for enforcing it. The point of the Times’ piece is the WH made enforcement a focus FOLLOWING the Wilson outburst.
Darryl spews:
ds @ 40,
“The point of the Times’ piece is the WH made enforcement a focus FOLLOWING the Wilson outburst.”
YLB spews:
Another right wing mess for Obama and the Democrats to clean up:
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09.....=1&hp
Could something in the water promote and intensify right wing insanity?
Troll spews:
@39
I’m a big picture kinda guy. And in the big picture, illegals (and yes, their name is illegals, not immigrants) will be covered. The Dems have the ability to prevent it, but creating a situation where they know they’ll be covered. Why? Because eventually they know they will be giving amnesty to the illegals in order to create future Democratic voters.
ds spews:
@36 Obama’s statement is true: draft bills explicitly prohibit undocumented aliens from purchasing the government insurance.
For example HR 3200, Section 246:
Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States
————
The bills included language that prohibited undocumented workers from receiving gov subsidies for purchasing government insurance as described, for example, in HR 3200. They said nothing about undocumented workers using their own money to purchase such insurance. See, for example:
http://www.nytimes.com/aponlin.....038;st=cse
“Illegal immigrants were to be allowed in the exchange and even in the public plan if they used their own money under legislation that passed three committees in the House and one in the Senate. Before Friday, there was little indication that that would change, even in the crucial Senate Finance Committee, which is facing a deadline of early next week to complete a comprehensive health bill.”
This was another area of controversy.
YLB spews:
Moron @ 12 – So you’re saying the President lied in his speech and you’re supporting the moron Wilson.
Like attracts like.
Darryl spews:
Troll @ 39,
LOL. No doubt it is all part of the Democrat’s plan to have their “illegals” zombie army round up all the elderly and handicapped and march them to the gas chambers.
Don’t forget to ask your mommy check under you bed for “illegals” tonight.
ds spews:
@41 Maybe
Or maybe not. The point is the subject was elevated following the speech. My focus isn’t on Wilson, who was out-of-line IMO.
YLB spews:
All Republican greedheads have to do is stop using cheap illegal labor to line their pockets. If the undocumented can’t get a job in this country, they won’t come here.
But Republicans will never do that because 1) they love money too much and 2) they love using fear of the brown skinned people to scare up votes.
Well that backfired on them last November. Hispanics in general can’t stand Republicans and will always vote against them.
YLB spews:
Wow 43 is a perfect example of what I was hypothesizing in 42.
The answer has got to be yes.
Darryl spews:
ds @ 44,
I agree…there has been controversy about whether illegal aliens would be prohibited from purchasing a subsidized government insurance policy, or any government option at all.
They would be able to purchase private insurance as they do now, but not through the insurance exchange.

birthers and deather’s emotional pleas are where the Republicans are at, a fiscal conservative rethink has to happen before new ideas that might actually work appear.
ds spews:
@50 I am pretty sure this is incorrect.
The Times is only echoing what others have said. There is no language in the bills prohibiting the purchase of gov insurance by illegal immigrants. The language cited above @36 for HR 3200 focuses solely on the use of credits for this purpose. According to the Congressional Research Service in a analysis dated from August 25:
“H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on noncitzens—whether
legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently—participating in the Exchange.”
Troll spews:
I think America should be broken into two countries. One half will be for Democrats, the other, Republicans. Although I am a Democrat, I would honestly want to live in the Republican half. How many other Democrats agree with me?
Mr. Baker spews:
@53, no, I think the Republicans are still managing to give ground.
Maybe after Obama is elected to his second term Texas will break off and all the Republicans will pile in there. We will have to have an Austin airlift to drop in supplies of the Nation mag and chocolate fudge Pop-Tarts.
Rujax! spews:
Mr. Puddybud appears to be a raving egomaniac.
YLB spews:
Illegal immigrants pay plenty of taxes although they may skirt plenty of them as well.
If they pay rent – they’re paying property tax.
If they buy anything at any brand name store – they’re paying sales taxes.
If they get a pay check from any tax paying business they’re paying fica and medicare.
In general, if they consume anything in this economy, they’re paying the same taxes anyone would pay that are passed down the line by any business chasing a dollar.
We don’t have an illegal immigration problem in this country. We have an illegal employment problem.
YLB spews:
Look at the Republicans who comment here. Why would anyone with any sanity want to live with them?
Based on your posting record here, you’re more than welcome to them. Please go live with the other half.

The chimp would be a nice prize as well but there’s more value to someone like that looking like a moronic chump than sitting in a jail cell. Besides he didn’t know his ass from a hole in the ground. It would be like putting someone away for merely being mentally challenged.
Rove of course will skate as usual. We’ll have to nail him on something else.
X'ad spews:
“Based on your posting record here, you’re more than welcome to them. Please go live with the other half”
And, take the the other morons with him… Puddy will make a great leader for them.
Puddybud is shocked SHOCKED spews:
rujax, good to see you today.
Puddy brought the Rep. Dean Heller (R-Nev.) amendment weeks ago. Dingell’s H.R. 3200 (which btw he admitted he hasn’t read) contains gaping tractor-trailer loopholes allowing illegal aliens to receive taxpayer-funded benefits. Joe Wilson knows these loopholes are no accident. The legislation contains no verification mechanism to ensure that illegal aliens can’t apply for benefits.
YLB spews:
And Joe Wilson supported reimbursement to hospitals with taxpayer funds who treated illegal immigrants.
Wilson is a hypocrite like you and that ugly Republican party.
You’re being awfully nice to Rujax lately even though he called you a raving egomaniac in this thread. One would think you’re be accepting of the truth.
You must be drinking distilled water or something – not right wing water:

My wife works in health care and MRSA is huge concern. This is worrying. As usual some culpability can be laid at the feet of the right wing. Republican livestock producers routinely use antibiotics in feed. This promotes bacterial resistance. The article is unclear about linking this to MRSA but abuse of antibiotics is not only limited to hypochondriacs – it is way worse among Republican greedheads whose giant pro-Republican signs I see every time I drive through farm and feedlot country.
The next time a right winger goes to a hospital with a flesh eating MRSA infection he should question his ideology which always lifts greed above sound science and even in some cases above self-preservation.
Holy crap! No way would I let my family walk a beach barefoot right now.
YLB spews:
Wow! What a surprise!
http://politics.theatlantic.co.....legacy.php
Puddybud is shocked SHOCKED spews:
Well ylb arschloch,
Stop eating Republican grown food and buy some Democratic grown food like you’ll find at Whole Foods.
Oh… wait a minute… your peeps are boycotting Whole Foods because the CEO, who pays for 89% of his employees health insurance, thinks “the messiah’s” health plan needs much more work. Oh… wait a minute… your peeps are boycotting Whole Foods and the common peeps who work there (mostly libtardos) would lose their jobs and their health care coverage because of some moronic progressive boycott.
Your side… a bunch of idiots!
Puddybud is shocked SHOCKED spews:
ylb arschloch,
So? What does that have to do with the “the messiah’s” health care plan now?
Have you been paying attention to the above discussion? Nope cuz you R a DOPE!
Marvin Stamn spews:
One of those obama campaigning “mama for obama” mothers changed her view on guantanamo, after she saw it.
She makes a couple interesting observations…
“We had no business in Iraq,” she said.
YLB spews:
64 – I’ve never shopped there. Too expensive. The CEO to my knowledge is a right winger. I have no desire to support that.
Like I said in an earlier comment there’s local alternatives like the PCC – no right wing taint there that I know of. If you’re going to shop that way, shop there.
In fact I’ve said all of this weeks ago when that Whole Foods thing blew up.
What? You didn’t read that comment? Where were you? Ohhh.. You got that Alzheimer’s or that swiss cheese holed bubble memory or some such..
Puddybud is shocked SHOCKED spews:
Marvin,
Great find. Of course the HA arschloch will have something stupid to comment.
Puddybud is shocked SHOCKED spews:
ylb arschloch@67,
Wrong again like always about John Mackey CEO Whole Foods.
We all know your monomaniacal knowledge is found on kook-aid sites.
Marvin Stamn spews:
The ceo of whole foods is a right winger?
Does that make you uninformed or so far left on the political spectrum that socialists/communists are considered right-wing to you?
YLB spews:
66 – How brain dead. Yeah things are better at Gitmo NOW.
After they’ve released a few people, some Congress Critters, FBI visited the place and accounts of what it was like filtered out into the media.
And not just the U.S. media, the world-wide media.
Of course they improved it. Even Bush improved it. Shit, he built a 200 million dollar courthouse to run military trials down there. What lucky Republican contributor got that job?
To try what? 60 detainees?
Those poor scared Faux News teevee addicts were too sceeered at the thought of those scary terrorists being tried in already bought and paid for facilities on the mainland – better to spend 200 million to be safe and sound.. Pfffft..
YLB spews:
70 – Hey Stupes, Marvin believes a communist/socialist wrote an editorial in your beloved WSJ editorial page.
Wonders never cease.
YLB spews:
69 – Just like you were wrong about that “lefty” Paulson?
You got a bridge to sell me too?
Michael spews:
Don’t drink the water!

Michael spews:
Michael spews:
But yeah, the private sector knows best and would never do anything to harm the general public.
YLB spews:
Michael – Stupes and Marvin have definitely drunk that water courtesy of the greedhead Republicans.
They’re totally braindead because of it.
To fiends like them, if it’s got “free market, low regulation, i.e none, low taxes (a penny or two)” stamped on it – it’s gotta be the best for body, mind and spirit.
YLB spews:
We? You mean you and the 10 ghosties dancing in your empty skull?
Marvin Stamn spews:
Get your head out of your how to pimp very young girls into prostitution acorn handbook for a second…
It wasn’t an accusation about the ceo of whole foods, it was an accusation that you feel someone with such a liberal resume is a “right-winger.” Are you so far left that socialists/communists are right-wingers to you?
Puddybud is shocked SHOCKED spews:
ylb arschloch,
what an arschloch. Marvin didn’t say that fool. The only person who has his head in his arschloch, ylb arschloch!
Puddybud is shocked SHOCKED spews:

Puddybud is shocked SHOCKED spews:
Lefty Paulson ylb arschloch? You mean the one you called monkey who looks like his TARP decision is gonna pay off moron?
What an arschloch! ylb arschloch! better to be a fiend than an arschloch
YLB spews:
YLB spews:
82 – You called him a lefty and you cited as proof his contributions to some Democrats and his passion for wildlife preservation.
You did this to spin the hatred of the TARP by the right wing away from the chimp you voted for twice.
So basically you said a “lefty”‘s program worked. Oh and don’t forget – Obama supported the TARP.
So now you’re saying he’s right wing?
Go on say it. Make my day.
Michael spews:
@81
Marvin Stamn spews:
Damn, and before that I thought I was perfect. Oh yeah, you’re the spelling nanny aren’t you? Was’nt it you pointing out speling errors yestarday?
So no comment about the liberal resume of the ceo?
That’s the way I like it. Don’t support liberal businesses. Say, how’s that air america station going? Unsupported?
YLB spews:
81 – That State voted for Nixon, Raygun, Chimpie (both terms) and McSame.
YLB spews:
Michael spews:
@87
Maybe it’s all the lead in the water that makes them vote that way?
Marvin Stamn spews:
I tried to explain that in #79. Did I once again screw up your speling/gramer rules.
I wasn’t calling him a socialist/communist, I was asking how far left are YOU to consider a liberal with his resume a right-winger.
Damn you. You got me. haha I actually believed you were that stoopid to not get it.
YLB spews:
Ooops. I supported shopping at the PCC – which is a home-grown shopping outlet that did what Whole Foods does years and years before Whole Foods ever opened a store here.
Listen to it all the time. It’s still on the air AFAIK. Ron Reagan Jr. produces his show from there.
Imagine that, the son of Ron and Nancy Raygun produces a national Air America talk show from Seattle.
Damn it sure sucks for the right wing!
YLB spews:
There it is in all it’s glory. You’re implying Mackey is a socialist/communist.
You’re not calling him a liberal. I don’t even see the word liberal there.
Marvin Stamn spews:
Is Puddy correct, are you losing it?
If you “Listen to it all the time,” wouldn’t you know for a fact if it’s on or not.
For example…
I listen to the Laker pre-game radio show. There is no AFAIK, I know for certain the show is on.
YLB spews:
93 – Why ask me that question? Make up any shit you want. You usually do anyway. That’s the way you right wingers operate.
I take it in stride that you guys “lost it” long before Obama won last November.
I haven’t listened to KPTK today or yesterday. It may be off the air now for all I know. You may know this. I may not.
That’s why I said AFAIK.
Marvin Stamn spews:
Way to not take a stand.
The blog equivalent of voting Present.
YLB spews:
69 – LOL! Mackey gave money to Harry Browne the Libertarian.
Aren’t losertarians just Republicans who smoke pot?
Puddybud is shocked SHOCKED spews:
Goldy,
If ylb arschloch is your best, you need help! He sure keeps that HA banner high.
Puddybud is shocked SHOCKED spews:
Good. Reconciliation on October 15th.
Marvin Stamn spews:
Not everyone is a fan of the communist truther that glenn beck outed.
The only question I have about Van Jones’ resignation as the White House green czar is why didn’t they call me before they hired him. You would think that, as part of the vetting process, they would have called the mayor of the city where he was from.
Marvin Stamn spews:
[Deleted — see HA Comment Policy]
YLB spews:
99 – I never heard of Van Jones until shortly before right wing nuts started orgasming at his resignation.
Lots of people can do that job. Some have remarked that Van Jones’ talents were being wasted at what was basically a desk job
In any case, I hope the after glow for right wing nuts was pleasing. After the thrashing they’ve taken since before Nov 2008, they have to take what they can get.
YLB spews:
97
Goldy,
The way Stupes talks, he must think he’s the king of the outhouse for his “team”.
We’ve got nothing to worry about do we?
Marvin Stamn spews:
Of course the democrats are concerned about the environment…
But for some strange reason, conservatives do a much much better job cleaning up after their rallies. I guess liberals figure the government will clean it up for them.
Puddybud is shocked SHOCKED spews:
ylb arschloch,
Remember what Puddy said to you when you said this last time
That’s because you ylb arschloch don’t hang in the correct progressive circles fool. You are an unemployed bottom feeding HA blog loving libtardo. Van Jones was first discussed on Michael Savage’s show in mid March. Then Glenn Beck mentioned him and played his many words over and over and over on both of his shows.
You, ylb arschloch, live on the kook-aid of kooktv, dkookopedia, the putrid morons, the huffdivorce and other kook locations. That’s your problem fool not ours. Stay monomaniacally stupid!
Puddybud is shocked SHOCKED spews:

Puddy hopes Goldy answers the monomaniacal outhouse dweller.
Marvin Stamn spews:
Strange that beck, savage, hannity and a whole flock of right-wingers would know about him while you didn’t. I wonder what else they know you don’t.
So tell us again the benefit of reading dailypus?
Marvin Stamn spews:
The banner at the top of the page was for roadkill t-shirts.
Say, how is the rabbit doing these days.
YLB spews:
Heh.. Savage-Weiner and Beck – two progressives huh? I think Weiner lost his tv show when he screamed at a gay guy to get aids and die and Beck… well,, if you consider an ADD, former coke-head who fantasizes about killing Michael Moore and bashing Charlie Rangel’s head in with a shovel – a progressive?
I don’t see anything “correct” about that. I’m sure you would though.
YLB spews:
Things I really wouldn’t care to “know”:

In the biblical sense, that is.
YLB spews:
105 – There’s a right wing nut blog known as “Right Wing Nut House”. I’m sure you’re familiar with it. You’ve demonstrated over the years that there’s not a single right wing POC on the internet you haven’t “known” in the biblical sense or otherwise.
Well the perfect name for a blog you would host is “rightwingouthouse.com”
Damn if it isn’t available!
http://whois.org/available-dom.....thouse.com
Michael spews:
@103
LOL…
The site you linked to says there were 2 million people there.
YLB spews:
103 – That’s an interesting url for that right wing nut blog post. It has “clean conservative – filthy liberal” in it.
The Nazis made a similar distinction. In their case it was “clean aryan – filthy jew”..

Puddybud is shocked SHOCKED spews:
ylb arschloch you said
