Anybody know where Hutchison stands on Sound Transit and light rail? Last fall’s ballot measure, did she support it or oppose it?

It’s not “opinion” that Hutch has been issuing statements instead of giving interviews.
Nor is it opinion that she has been approached multiple times by the Republican party to run for office.
Not is it opinion that she has no experience in either politics or in government. It shows, by the way.
She’s this year’s Mike! McGavick, and will suffer his fate.
Maybe it’s time to start calling her “Susan!”.

She has no name recognition with me. All I know is that she’s keeping deliberately blank, she’s a former teleprompter reader and she has Republican hair.
I find it rather interesting that in both the city and county races that are supposed to be “nonpartisan”, many of the candidates who happen to be Democrats are proudly proclaiming so in their public statements and campaign literature, while those like Hutchison who presumably would be running as Republicans in a partisan race (based on their past affiliations and activities) are staying officially…”nonpartisan”.
They couldn’t possibly be thinking that they couldn’t get win if they proudly proclaimed their Republican-ness…..could they?

Naturally, Hutchison has embraced the Discovery Institute / John Stanton “Transportation Governance Reform” effort. As in, take the transit money and spend it on roads….

Funny how so many people seem to have missed the presidential debates where Obama eviscerated McCain without a teleprompter. They just believe what they fervently wish to believe, and reality be damned. It’s one reason why Republicans are anti-science. Science does not leave a lot of room for believing lots of “counter to reality” stuff.
Can any who claimed Darcy Burner did not have sufficient experience explain how they can support Hutchison?
Not for anything, but an executive position managing a government the size of King County requires considerably more than being one of several hundred legislators.

I had NO intention of voting for Hutchinson in any way, I have an aversion to people running simply on their ‘face & name recognition’.
However, I think the Times insisting & receiving the documents of her lawsuit, that were improperly sealed, and publishing them this week did some serious damage.
She wasn’t like some little smuck peon (as many people clutching their job, if they still have one), even for older women Susan lost sympathy. When she asked for July 4th day off, then called in sick when refused, and photographed river running. Later, the rumor planting and all the other goofy moves – just made her look ‘erratic’ to put it nicely. Hardly someone that could manage King County with many demands & stresses. Probably all the Repubs will show up to vote for her, but I’m not so sure about the Women voting.
Well, what sealed the deal for me is Suzie’s econ degree from Harvard.
