Republicans might be crazy… does that make the dalai lama a republican?

“It is difficult to deal with terrorism through non-violence,” the Tibetan spiritual leader said delivering the Madhavrao Scindia Memorial Lecture here.

The head of the Tibetan government-in-exile left the audience stunned when he said “I love President George W Bush

Even the dalai lama understands that it is difficult to deal with terrorism through non-violence. How do liberals/democrats not get it.

Yet at the same time the obama adminstration is taking a backwards stance on china and their human rights violations.

Amnesty International and a pro-Tibet group voiced shock Friday after US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton vowed not to let human rights concerns hinder cooperation with China.
Paying her first visit to Asia as the top US diplomat, Clinton said the United States would continue to press China on long-standing US concerns over human rights such as its rule over Tibet.
“But our pressing on those issues can’t interfere on the global economic crisis, the global climate change crisis and the security crisis,” Clinton told reporters in Seoul just before leaving for Beijing.
    T. Kumar of Amnesty International USA said the global rights lobby was “shocked and extremely disappointed” by Clinton’s remarks.
“The United States is one of the only countries that can meaningfully stand up to China on human rights issues,” he said.
“But by commenting that human rights will not interfere with other priorities, Secretary Clinton damages future US initiatives to protect those rights in China,” he said.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the clintons taking all those “donations” from china.

    Change.

    Change backwards.

And yet the same left-wingnuts that whined and protested about this before are now silent. Ah, the benefit of having a democrat in the white house.

Mayor Daley has argued that security and terrorism won’t be an issue if his Olympic dreams come true because, by 2016, there will be a surveillance camera on every street corner in Chicago.

Of course chicago has a crime problem… more people died from violence in 2008 than soldiers in iraq. If it requires cameras on every corner we see why chicago is the third most miserable city.

Keyes evidently doesn’t realize that he has ceased to exist, at least as a public figure with an ounce of credibility or a gram of public visibility. His fiften minutes of fame expired a long, long time ago.

Curiously enough, he monotonously repeats the same canned phrases fed through the Fox News pipeline to our own little group of pathetic harassers. Puddy, Troll, Cyn, Piper, Marvin et al keep repeating the same verbal effluent that sounds just as ridiculous coming from them as it did spilling from the carrion-smeared lips of Malkin, Coulter, Hannity, O’Reilly and Limbaugh. They have yet to learn that repeating the same lie over and over doesn’t make it true.

had the worst economic performance since Hoover
Created the mess we have now
illegally tortured peopele and ruined the reputation of the US
lied to start an unnecessary war that we spent over a trillion on.

As far as your pathetically mronomic list for Obama – there has been no nationalization of the baks – yet, but if they need it, so what?

Signing a bill that he did not author – you mean like every other US president. Idiot – you don’t even know how government works. He was in contact with all the negotiators and his people knew what congress was putting in the bill.

As far as the golf courses – prove it. Where is the link and the proof?

You are a fool and a pathetically stupid one at that. But it is appropriate that you are the same post as another idiot – Alan Keyes.

  15. 18

    correctnotright spews:

Yup, Watchman and Puddy and the new idiot BeeMoron are all excited and agree with the fool Keyes.

Really, republicans are so out of touch with reality they still have not accepted that they lost the Presidential election. They can’t handle:

That Obama won by the largest vote margin in history by a non-incumbent.

That Obama is clearly much more competent than the idiot Bush and his bunch of crooks and cronies (remember Brownie, Gonzalez, Rumsfeld, Cheney et al.?). A bigger bunch of fools, crooks and people with no memory could not be found.

What is it about republicans that they cannot accept reality? Are they so arrogant they think that their point of view is right no matter what – even if the facts say otherwise? Are they so oblivious that they have not noticed that the rest of the country thinks they are liars and fools?

Surely, they have seen the results – they have lost the Senate, the house and the Presidency. They are only a majority in the deep south. Independents have abandoned them. They were against the stimulus – but almost everyone of them is taking the money (so they are hypocrites too). Even Bobby Jindal, another fool, is taking most of the money except for unemployment benefits that he is too think to understand are temporary.

Why are the republicans such fools? Are they deliberately trying to ruin their own credibility and shrink thier party down to a few hard-core “believers”? What rational party would act like they do? Are they so desperate that they have to oppose spending in the face of a depression?

Everyone knew that bush was lying about iran and their nuclear capabilities/ambitions. Like the joe biden said, “it’s like watching a rerun of his statements on Iraq five years earlier.”

Democratic White House hopefuls Tuesday accused President George W. Bush of “saber-rattling” on Iran, and said US intelligence that Tehran halted its nuclear program in 2003 debunked his hawkish policy.

“It is absolutely clear that this administration and President Bush continues to not let facts get in the way of his ideology.”

“They should have stopped the saber rattling — should never have started it,” said Obama.

“Let’s get this straight, in 2003 (Iran) stopped their program, you cannot trust this president, he is not trustworthy,” said Senator Joseph Biden.
“It is outrageous, intolerable and it must stop … the president of the United States — it’s like watching a rerun of his statements on Iraq five years earlier.”

    Change.

Iran has built up a stockpile of enough enriched uranium for one nuclear bomb, United Nations officials acknowledged on Thursday.

They said Iran had accumulated more than one tonne of low enriched uranium hexafluoride at a facility in Natanz.

No such sites have been proved to exist, although for decades Iran concealed evidence of its nuclear programme
    .

Does this mean iran made all that progress with their nuclear program in only the few short weeks since obama took office?

    Or was bush right.

    Change.

Not this time either. The same lies bush used in the run up to the iraq war are being trotted out.

The stupidist person on this blog has to be that john guy that whines about not being able to afford a house and has to rent.

Homeowners who wrote checks for a significant down payment won’t benefit as much as those who took 100 percent financing. Homeowners in states without significant foreclosures will subsidize those in states like California, Arizona, and Florida. And borrowers who initially had affordable mortgages — but then refinanced during the housing bubble and used their homes as ATMs — stand to benefit.

    Outrageous.

Work hard, save money for a downpayment. You have to be punished.

Don’t work, don’t save. Get a loan for the full amount and you will be rewarded.

What’s even more insanely awesome is to watch the people that are regulars here eat it up and get more and more adamant, even angry, about it.

When you use things like this you are just as guilty as a republican cherry picking an idiot soundbite from somebody like Bill Mahrer, KOS, Byrd whoever.

@27 “Since I’m not a high ranking democrat with connections, I can’t get away with not paying my taxes.”

Perhaps not, but high ranking republicans with connections can.

“Tax Haven Abuses: The Enablers, the Tools & Secrecy,” [is] a report released in mid-2006 by the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations … on tax dodging via offshore maneuvers. The report devotes 257 of [its] 370 pages to the antics of Sam Wyly and his brother Charles.

    http://www.sandiegoreader.com/.....oring-off/

Wyly is the poster boy of Republican tax dodgers, in the same way that Dickless Cheney is the poster boy of Republican draft dodgers, but Wyly is by no means the only Republican tax cheat, merely one of the biggest and most notorious. Behind him are many thousands, if not millions, of small-time Republican tax chiselers.

Wyly may or may not get away with tax evasion. Ultimately, the Helmsleys (“only the little people pay taxes”) went to jail, although in that case one gets the feeling Mrs. Helmsley’s big mouth got them into bigger trouble than their nonpayment of taxes.

But you, Marvin, definitely will go to the slammer if you don’t pay the taxes you’re legally obligated to pay, and which the rest of us dutifully pay (even though we don’t like paying taxes any more than you do) because it’s the law. And if you don’t, you should go to jail. Why should you get a free ride when everyone else has to fulfill their citizen obligations? Taxes are the necessary cost of living in a civilized society instead of like wild animals in caves.

But the more interesting issue here is your stupid, unthinking, robotic shilling for the ultrawealthy who use their power and money to dump the entire tax burden on shmucks like you so they can enjoy a free ride. Idiots like you seem to think that if you take care of these people, they’ll take care of you. You couldn’t be more wrong! They’re like women who collect boyfriends like kids collect baseball cards, use them, extract what they can from them, then toss them aside.

The very first people that rich and powerful Republicans throw under the bus are their loyal supporters. Look what happened to Scooter Libby. Did you notice that Bush didn’t pardon him? There was no Bush blanket pardon for his hired torturers, either, all of whom may now be facing investigations, prosecutions, and possible prison sentences. Can you think of a single Bush henchman who got a pardon from the crimes he committed on behalf of his boss? I can’t. They’re all facing potential jail terms now.

Wise up, Marvin. The arrogant and self-centered Republicans you’ve been sacrificing yourself for don’t give a damn about you. They won’t save your soul much less your job or bank account. They could care less about you. They’ll just use you, squeeze you, get what they can from you, then toss you aside like a rag doll thrown into the trash.

If you want to be part of a community; if you want to be with people who look out for each other; if you want to be recognized and rewarded for your contributions to the team; you’ve got to be a Democrat.
