by Goldy — Sunday, 3/28/10, 10:35 am

Come celebrate and defend health care reform today with Gov. Chris Gregoire, Senators Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell, Representatives Jay Inslee and Brian Baird, and 11-year-old activist Marcelas Owens, who stood at President Obama’s side during the bill signing. 3 P.M., Machinists District 751 Hall, 9125 15th Place S., Seattle.

I wouldn’t fall this, people. I think it’s an early April Fools joke. Notice there’s no link to the event? A quick scan of the Seattle P.I. and a few online TV news websites reveals no mention of a rally.

The media won’t mention the rally because they’re biased against us. Thanks for proving my point, Troll.

nice to have a rally but that location is a bit removed….why not do it outside reichert’s hospital room?

@1 The Wingnut Times and their sidekicks at Fisher Propaganda aren’t interested in a labor event at which only a few thousand people show up unless the participants break enough laws and windows. They feel two dozen teabaggers with bricks and nooses are more newsworthy.

@3 Because you can’t squeeze 2,000 people into Reichert’s hospital room (and why would anyone want to?).

    Happy Palm Sunday!
    Enjoy this–
    Steve-O was gloating when Oba-Mao hit -10.
The bounce was incredibly short-lived. I figured 2 weeks. But less than one.
    Things are ugly in Progressiveville!

    Sunday, March 28, 2010

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 28% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-four percent (44%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -16.

The President enjoyed a modest bounce in the polls following the passage of health care legislation last week. However, his Approval Index rating is now back to where it was last Sunday, just before the House voted in favor of his health care plan. All the bouncing of the past week has come among Democrats. There has been virtually no change in the opinions of Republicans and unaffiliated voters.

And before you consider mocking & ridiculing Tea Partiers, consider this!!

    Sunday, March 28, 2010

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 52% of U.S. voters believe the average member of the Tea Party movement has a better understanding of the issues facing America today than the average member of Congress. Only 30% believe that those in Congress have a better understanding of the key issues facing the nation.

When it comes to those issues, 47% think that their own political views are closer to those of the average Tea Party member than to the views of the average member of Congress. On this point, 26% feel closer to Congress.
Finally, 46% of voters say that the average Tea Party member is more ethical than the average member of Congress. Twenty-seven percent (27%) say that the average member of Congress is more ethical.

    RCP Average (Real Clear Politics)

@6, 10 — Well, I would say that judging from the number of people who showed up for the rally at the Machinists Hall and their enthusiasm, a lot of Washingtonians welcome health care reform! Teabaggers are just a noisy rabble sharing street corners with drug dealers and prostitutes.

Speaking of bullshittium alerts, the biggest bullshit around is “repeal and replaced.” It ain’t gonna be repealed, and the only thing that might replace it is universal Medicare. All those who want to live in the 19th century, line up at the cemetery gates, because that era is dead and gone.

@16 Funny. The poll I took at the Coffee Party meeting I attended yesterday showed that 100% of the American people think the Tea Partiers are nuts, and 85% think they’re “dangerous.” Maybe throwing bricks through windows, calling black congressmen “niggers,” and trying to blow up a congressman’s brother’s house by cutting a gas line have something to do with those results.

“Obama slips into Afghanistan to voice US resolve

“Under elaborate secrecy, President Barack Obama slipped into Afghanistan on Sunday near the front lines of the increasingly bloody 8-year-old war he is expanding and affirmed America’s commitment to destroying al-Qaida and its extremist allies in the land where the 9-11 plot was hatched.

“Obama defended his decision to escalate the fight, telling troops whose numbers he is tripling that their victory is imperative to America’s safety.”
