The legislature banned licensed therapists from trying to torture gay kids straight. Great! It’s about time. I was glad to see a number of Republicans support the measure, although I will note that it took Democrats controlling both houses of the legislature to make it happen.

    Has there been something since then related to the memos?

    Hard to win around here. If the GOP had kept yammering about the Nunes memo you’d be criticizing them for yammering about something when nothing had changed. GOP realizes the memo thing is more or less a stalemate unless some other movement occurs from Mueller or whatnot and you criticize them for not talking about an issue that’s gone inactive.

    The important thing, of course is not the issue. It’s that you thrive on the sensation of perpetually twisted panties.

    It’s not just the FISA applications that would shed light on some @ 5,8 disagreements. McCabe’s testimony transcript, if released, would help as well. Might even help Democrats if Nunes is a liar.

    Why aren’t Dems calling for that, then? “Crickets”, as one might say.

    Democrats swore up and down it wasn’t true. One of them even said their rebuttal would address it.

    Alas, it does not.

    The Democratic memo does nothing to address the Nunes memo’s claim that then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe had said the Steele dossier was vital to the application to monitor former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. The Nunes memo relied upon McCabe’s alleged comments to determine that the dossier “formed an essential part of the Carter Page FISA application.” And that claim formed the basis for arguing that the FISA process was politically tainted (given that Democrats paid for the dossier).

    In other words: It wasn’t just a piece of the puzzle; it was the main substantiation of the Nunes memo’s central claim.

    Did you have a look at per Capita? Of course not. In Massachusetts in 1998 the firearm murder rate was 2 per 100,000 people. At the time that would have tied them for 5th lowest in the nation with Hawaii and Maine.

    In 2016, the most recent year available, the rate is 2 per 100,000. But, but, but, this columnist will retort…The murder rate is EXPLODING! All because we took the guns away!

    That 2/100,000 ratio is still tied for 45th lowest by state with North Dakota. Meanwhile, Hawaii edged up to 2.5/100,000, While Maine dropped to 1.5/100,000.

    If you needed further proof this is a dishonest use of data look no further than

    Why pick 2011 when it actually rose to 3.3 in 2010? Maybe because then you might have to factor in rising crime nationally during the great recession and a drop from 3.3 to 2.8 in a single year is pretty good. The next year 2013 was at 1.8 (beating the drop of the previous year) which is actually “bottomed out” so the OpEd writer is bad at research. In subsequent years it rose to 2.0, 2.0, 1.9 (“Bottomed” ha) and 2.0

    A Senate seat will open up on April 1 when Thad Cochran retires for health reasons. His resignation means Mississippi will vote in two senators this November. The GOP governor will appoint an interim seat holder to fill the vacancy until then.

    This means Democrats won’t get a chance to flip another seat, resulting in a 50-50 tie, before the midterms unless something happens in another state. And nobody expects Mississippi to go blue. But then, nobody expected Alabama to, either.

    But what if it did? What if the GOP lost a senate seat in profoundly red Mississippi? That would signal the GOP is in big, big trouble with voters.

    And, at minimum, it increases the number of senate seats Republicans have to defend this fall and defending it will draw off resources that might have been used elsewhere.

It’s a robot that can crawl through 18”-36” (42” coming soon) and inspect and reseal age defected joints while the natural gas steel flows. It also eliminates the need to open up the pavement every 12 feet to access the joints as traditionally manually done. It travels 1200’ via a ether that provides the capability of its control and seal the pipe.

    It cuts cost by 1/10 for manual pipe replacement and 1/4 for manually resealing pipe joints.

When the Authorities find that big shipment of cocaine somewhere, you can damn well bet there are a few others of equal or larger size that were missed or deliberately ignored. The same goes for large amounts of cash dollars, Gold, Platinum and Swiss watches.
